Is it possible to do this but with inline skates instead? I am horrible with skates because inlines/blades are more comfortable for me, but I haven't seen any "detatchable" roller blades only skates
I bought some on offer up they were pre built and not the right way cheaper than buying the hardware at a shop but next time I think I can do it on my own :) fixing this pair rn
I linked the nails used in my bio, but yeah we had to countersink. There are special countersink drill bits available. If you do not want to purchase counter sinking drill bits another method we did was used the proper drill bit size for our screw then used a drill bit the size of the screw head and drilled the top of our hole just deep enough for the head of our screw to sit flush with the insole.
I always add shoe inserts in my skates, so they made these super comfortable. They feel a lot more lighter weight and less restricting than normal quads but there’s less security on your ankles. The weirdest thing for me was adjusting from a heeled boot to a flat shoe, your weight distribution is so distorted.
Depends which plate you're getting, but I see online for Sunlite plates that a size 13-14 in Men's would be a size 9 plate. So that would make you a size 10 but I would call first to make sure they have that size since I don't see it online. Also keep in mind that different brands have different plate sizing so to be safe, look up plate sizing charts online.
They’re not absolutely necessary but they help with the durability of the skates. If you’re going to be doing jumps or going to the skate park then you’ll definitely need them.
These are high top vans, you can get them here: www.vans.com/shop/sk8-hi-d5invy#pr-container but I bought them secondhand on OfferUp for half the price.
You would go by what your regular plate size would be, so for example, I'm a size 7 in Moxi's (size 8 women's) so I would be a size 5 plate and so would you! To find it, I just looked up a Sunlite plate chart on Google images.
3:10 I've never heard "freeball" used in this context. Lol, I like it.
This is amazing. I love it.
What of skate shoes with only one row of rollers each, and not two

What kind of nails did you use? You didn't have to countersink the plate? I've seen that be an issue with a lot of other ppl's builds

How comfortable are these compared to normal quads?

What size plate would you recommend for a size 15 in mens?

how necessary are the aluminum insoles

how thick the aluminium?
I can't remember exactly but I think I got the .0598 inch one, so it's thick enough to withstand more abuse
