I like to PvP, and PvE on ARK Ascended. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, sometimes for 100 days. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it switch, xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, steam, epic, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, usually covering all maps from Island to Fjordur. And one day. ARK 2!

Bob's tall tales are primarily for lore maps, ie SE, abb, and extinction. But it still doesn't justify anything wildcard has done
I feel like this would have worked better as a shadowmane variant on a post genesis 2 map.
They won't make 💰 if they did that later

Theres parts of the map where there isnt even a border and you can just go out the map, this was definitely a rushed release
Scorched still has holes where you can mesh lmao.
Don't get me started on the mega deep ocean parts that are 100% not finished and empty with the ability to see under the world

If you didn't know wildcard was going bankrupt so it was obviously a rushed release otherwise we would've gotten all of the maps at the same time and a semi-playable experience.

The pyromane was clearly a way of getting shadowmanes into the game earlier than waiting for the whole list of maps to be developed and released.

They technically did the same thing with tropeo, but this one just feels cheap, probably because tropeo wasn't a part of a paid dlc. At least the abilities of this lion are pretty cool

A pyromane maybe better than a bunch of sabertooths,but that fantastic creature has one main weakness:Lure one pyromane into a swallow water body and you can smack it away.
wich makes it a little more balanced in my opinion

It’d be great if any irrigation source like a well could nerf the pyromane, just to make it less broken. And to encourage pvp’ers to do something positive and develop comprehensive sewer systems for the ark

this just shows more and more how greedy they get... its just a freaking Shadowmane, with different skin, same sounds and partly even same animations it just got some fire abillitys and the option to turn into a shoulderpet, thats it. Yes it looks cool, but it pisses me off that you have to pay AGAIN for something "new" what isnt even really new in this case. didnt sell enough Bob stuff so they had to do this, for new FANTASY creatures that people wanted for YEARS.

Apparently this was snails vision for ASE, but it got pushback from wildcard. This is snail games having full control now.
Another ability is it cooks meat and makes jerkey if you leave meat in it's inventory... Forgot to check to see it it melts metal
But doesn't it eat meat? Bro is finna eat all my mutton before it's even cooked

The least they could have done was give the thing its own noises l that weren't juts ripped from the shadowmane.
On console (XBOX) you can hold RB and press LB to bring up the hints for keybinds

I miss when it was just a simple knockout tame for dinos, now you have to do the hokey pokey and turn yourself around to tame the nice Omegasurouskicdonusmepelon
Unfortunately, Raas' settings have caused the taming to appear much more difficult than it actually is. You do not need to kill things to progress taming. Flame Absorb can also be used to progress taming and extend the mount timer (it gives more the higher the victim's burn bar is). So by using both progression options (absorb and kill), you can tame it much faster and safer.
Apparently they spawn in Scorched earth as well in the wyvern trench. I figured it was just Center locked.

Ok can someone explain why everyone is acting like ark hasn’t always put the most op Dino’s behind a paywall like every dlc map that had new Dino’s those Dino’s were always OP
it's so cute as a shoulder pet, the thumbnail of the leak for it looked cuter.
Few questions about this tame:
1. Can you unclaim tamed dinos and kill them to tame the Pyromane? Kind of like how you tame the Charch?
2. If fire dont damage it, can this be the ultimate tame for dragon boss? Maybe a video worth doing?

Going a bit overboard by the abilities, I would say. A flame trail doing basically no fire damage is kinda meh. The transform is 100% the best ability it has. Have these been tested by PvP people to see if it's worth it? I mean, how far does that shoulder pet shoot its fire breath? Is it really as overpowered as people are claiming? Because people love to call OP by seeing something new.
I see everyone complaining the map isnt finished that will probably be fixed with an update also youd have complained if they pushed back the release

Yeah, I'm pretty sure mods added something like that long ago. Ark Omega has Phoenix Drake, a hybrid between Rock Drake and a Phoenix. As well as a Reapermane, hybrid between Shadowmane and Reaper. Making a fire version of Shadowmane is just a step in the same direction, not something you would pay for.

btw i think you missed it but it can cook meat i tried metal that didnt work so far only seems to be meat also it gives a insane heat resistance and a incredible cold resist. edit. I put oil and hide in just as well as metal to try if it has forge abilities when i just looked it had meat jerky did not test this yet on prime but it seems it has that preserving bin ability next to the campfire oh and i did it without sparkpowder
ASE had 6 dollar DLC maps and for the whole game including all expansions was about 40-50 bucks without sales.
ASA already is more expensive 50 bucks for the game and Bobs Tales DLC 34 bucks and now every "fantasy" tame 5 dollars each. Then add whatever your mods cost to play since they are premium now too.
there is no way its going to be lower than 150 possibly 200 bucks at the end of all releases and that is insane greed for a remaster.
So, here's the issue of having this series of creatures as paid DLC. They're clearly introduced as OP creatures so will they wait 3+ months for the sales and then proceed to NERF them to the ground for "balance" meaning you probably wasted your money.. The creature itself is a new shadowmane but honestly the model is pretty darn ugly unlike the shadowmane. The taming method also looks frustrating honestly, so altogether not my cup of tea.

From the name of the dlc pack, and that it’s basically a shadowmane variant, I’m assuming there will be three more. One stretchy, one rocky and one that can go invisible. All variants of preexisting creatures. The next one is probably going to be something from Gen1
Calling it now a daddy long legs spider which is just a bloowstalker with the model stretched a little and a new color pallet
It's like arks own version of ghost riders hopefully some modder gets the same idea or wildcard themselves and adds a fire skull skin cosmetic to go along side it

Wow, I love that they're able to sell this creature for $5 even though it is simply a skinned Shadowmane what's the exact same body model, bite, and other various animations.
This creature literally looks like the X-variant of a Shadowmane. Kinda scummy that if they are going to charge $5 for one creature, they couldn't at least make it more unique...

you can absorb fire and increase time and no need to kill the creature to increase taming
just use the absorb fire ability
maybe a better way to tame it is to carry it away by quetz to an area where you know there are loads of creatures. perhaps near snow biome or redwoods

I like how so many people are upset about this new dino. Yes it's a remade shadowmane but how many new dinos you think you can make before you run out of ideas? New dinos always gonna be broke in some ways. Just be happy they are actually semi trying to bring out new content and not just giving us update graphics
Why add the FIRE lion to a map full of water? This shouldve been the bobs tales creature for scorched and the oasissaur for the center. The oasisaur flying around the floating center island or in the actual center itself

I don’t mind having to pay a lil extra but i think a nerf for pvp would definitely make this more fair, like massive cooldowns on stuff which can be enabled for pvp servers or something, just to make it fair for people on pvp, as despite not playing it myself I can see how pvp could be scuffed now 😂

If you can put it in pet mode off your shoulder, then you can use it for setting up waves of enemies in small spaces or even as turrets in the lava pearl cave....the pvp abuse of these things are going to be endless 😅

Raas, get a group of them and try them against the Dragon boss, see if it's immune to the Fire Breathe or also makes the Rider immune to the Fire Breathe.

@brenon45 preserving salt in a preserving bin keeps for 9 hours. Get all your Rex's together. Give them all a milk start the fight. Ezpz. I have 20K on Ark 1x PVP. So you grab 20 milk from scorched. When you transfer it always resets the spoil timer. Put it right into bin with salt.
However that's not how I did Alpha dragon. I watched a dude sword it from the back of a deer. But for those who are not familiar with that method or don't have the theri or rhino train to do it and Only have Rex's that's the strat.

Dude, this will be absolutely funny to use in PVP, if I attack or they attack me, they get lighted in fire, and if some flyer grab me while I have my pyromane in my shoulder i can whistle it to burn the flyer, I could even use it to prevent fall damage by swaping to full lion form 😂😂😂
For cave/base defense this thing is an absolute W for me, i can do fire damage to any tank and riders and boosting my pyromane with enough flames, and I dont really think Wilcard will nerf this bc is a paid creature, if they nerf this probably more people arent going to buy it

I wouldnt call them broken yet. They have low low hp and now damage debuffs. A decent shotty will kill one fast even with a rider.
Plus I don't think there is armor. But maybe it's like the shadowmane

the dash is the same, the animation is the same, it's way more lazier than the Tropeo

It's the same look, animation and sound, if this was a paid mod if would be okish but it's just wildcard copying old work and trying to charge 5 bucks like at least give a few dinos if you want to charge 5 bucks

Everything about ark is so cheap right now, unfinished map with holes, and a Dino that is a recycled shadow mane you have to pay for. Glad I don’t play anymore.
That's not a cat noise; sounds more like a dodgy pull cord motor. I'm not sure about these paid for beasts. I have no problem with paid maps like Svart but charging for the beasts... And this pyromane is just one from a collection that's heading our way. How many beasts in that particular collection?
They're great for creating content though. I can see Neddy and others easily making content with these mythical beasts but unless all the PVP players get one it's not 'balanced'. I've bought Tall Tales, I've bought Svart, I'm not buying a cat with a sore throat...
