tamed gigaraptors can tame orphaned babies after roaring. this was helpful for when i ran into a couple nests where the parents were killed by wild creatures (helpful for when they spawn in zones full of raptor packs or carnos).

Hey rass got a question any servers to start out again on I haven’t played in a while so tad rusty looking for a safe pve server that I can build tame trade and breed
Im not sure if this is concrete but I think the stat the feather boosts is based on the Gigantoraptors highest base stat? Using the tek binoculars, I have a raptor that has its highest stat as melee and it’s only been dropping melee boosting feathers?
Idk if I just got lucky, but I stayed in the nest and tamed the baby without even leaving, and yes I'm on official, the parent walked up to and walked away, I was wearing full ghille so idk if that was why, took around 10 minutes to tame a 100 baby
Considering he had it in the boss arena I’m assuming it has to be somewhat nearby. Honestly, because of the damage reduction the new meta-might become 17 Rex is one daeodon one yuty and one gigarap. With the damage reduction the dead on might be able to just straight up out heal certain damage.
Very informative video, thanks! As someone new to Ark, and only slightly dipping into breeding dinos, I was curious, any idea how effective are medium eggs instead, like Arge or Sarco? Not impossible I play offi pve and we just found and perfect tame a lvl 150 so now 224 🥳 ; I have a question, do the gigantoraptor feed your Babies if you are not on the saddle ?? Because for us the Babi eat if he have food in the giganto inventory but only if we are on the saddle ; nice vid anyway like Alws
It can claim a baby giganto, you have to do its call first (C on PC) then you can. Though they are skittish and are hard to claim if you're in the jungle
So all I gotta do is bond my high lvl rex babies with the Gigantoraptor and bring it into the boss fights as well as yuti and they will get the buffs and destroy?
Wyvern egg worked the best for me because it doesnt incubate and the gigantoraptor couldnt finish the egg. Only needed one egg and it was distracted the whole time.
I had some Dino’s at 90% imprint then took them out on the gigantoraptor and it reset the 90% imprint to 8%. Just a heads up and they lost all the imprint from stats. Testing to see what would happen.
Note. you can tame wild baby gigantoraptors with a fully grown one. To do so: kill the parent, ride your gigantoraptor close to the baby and do the baby roar (for ps5 players R3), and while still riding you will get a prompt to imprint the baby. P.s. Keep in mind that once the parent is dead, the baby will start running away so taming will be tricky. My advice is to track it with Tek binoculars so you don't lose sight of it. Also this taming method is fine for low lvls but not recommended for high lvls, as you don't get all the bonus lvls of taming. Only a fraction of it.
I'm sorry but I couldn't understand, can you take out the parents and claim the baby or not? I don't have any gigantoraptor yet. Great video, thanks for showing us all this important info. Thumbs up.

You can tame wild babies by imprinting and having them gain bonus levels like a tame as normal. If they don't it's a bug, and has been a bug for a while now. All wild babies should gain bonus levels on imprint. You don't need the Gigantoraptor for this.
How do the mod creatures work? When it is added to its native map, will it still be a mod? If not, and we uninstall the mod, do we lose the creature unless we get it from the native map? A lot of loose ends I would like tied up and answered before I go taming one honestly.
The parent didn’t attack me at all, is it a bug ? I’m not complaining ofc but just curious on why I didn’t attack. I was with a friend and it was attacking at first, I was distracting it while my friend was trying to tame it and it was hostile. After a while my friend got killed by the parent so I hid in the nest and it did not attack again. I was able to tame the baby no problem.
The walk for imprint worked with the Procoptodon too. Put the baby in the pouch and just jump around with it and the walk will trigger. Doesnt work with gigas and i believe rexes dont fit either. saddly.
The bonding thing is a neat idea. But it feels like a waste because it can only do it with tames of a lower level than itself. Plus, it only lasting until you cryopod the creature really kills it.
what spider boss was that? i assumed easy but would like to confirm that, i think the gigo can have 4 bonded right? i wanna see what 4 can do, so i need to try that then what....1 yuty 3 gigos bonded to 12 rexs then 2 unbonded i guess or a 4th gigo and 13 rexs hmmmm
I just feel like they should always have a nest. It's annoying to search for an hour, just to find a beautiful high lever parent without a nest. I also don't get the bonus levels when claiming the babies with it
We've come a long way since the days of "Here's a new dino, it left-click attacks like any other carnivore. But harder"
The simple ability to reset imprints makes it invaluable. Great video Raas.

so many features to this creature an i couldn't even imagine trying to cover the info in a video lol. who knows what is a feature its supposed to have, or a bug that'll be patched out. i have people in my server asking me about things i have have to default to i don't know and what i do know may be right but might be wrong, so i cant even talk about this creature without having to jump around conversation saying it might stay as feature it might not or it might need this or maybe it doesn't an never was intended to do this lol.
love this creature an stuff but man something this in depth should have had a little info explained by someone. they dropped this thing into the game an next day patched bunch stuff that could have been thought of as features everything from taming it to using it. most videos that have been put out are already outdated not 100% wrong info but within 1 day theres parts of the guides and videos that are just incorrect now lol. really feel bad for content creators first new topic to cover an then this happens.
i guess we'll have to wait until there done ghost patching this thing to see the end result, an then wait for in depth videos explaining things because this creature could change again tomorrow or week from now, an wildcard wont tell us until after they removed or fixed or changed features. its kinda big guessing game now but great video thanks for covering this creature i just want to know everything about this thing an excited to use it breed it an yeah was super pumped yesterday an woke up to patched out confusion have great day/night raas im sure youll cover changes as they come looking forward to seeing more about this creature :)

You can tame wild babies by imprinting and having them gain bonus levels like a tame as normal. If they don't it's a bug, and has been a bug for a while now. All wild babies should gain bonus levels on imprint. You don't need the Gigantoraptor for this.
Let’s see it on official rates brother… I wanna see the boss on official saddles etc
WOW THAT WAS FAST😲😲😲😲😲💚💚💚💚💚
Wooo I was the 1k liker, never happened to me before 😅 the likes were on 999 before I pressed it 😂
How do the mod creatures work?
Hey raasclark? What if you guys did Monarky on Atlas? I know it has its own bugs, but anythings better than ASA at this point
I'm on ofc pve and I found the best way to tame is trap mom with 3 dino gates/billboards in a triangle then tame baby no eggs needed. Works great
They patched it 🤣
Do babies eat with in saddle?
Wearing gillie helps
I also don't get the bonus levels when claiming the babies with it
You have friends guys just have one agro the mother and other play with baby. No items or eggs needed.
You should try it with megatheriums and do brood again with them please
Oooohh the bug buff! Yeah that'd be insane
@@Raasclark yeah ahah exactly, hopefully they’ll be able to tank some damage but yeh I imagine they’ll do some good dps
Dunno. Some good leveled Rexes and a yuti seem more than enough to take down any boss, I don’t see myself needing this. Too much hassle, no?
