This is a short report from my Jet2 Airtanker Airbus A330-200 Flight from Tenerife South back to Manchester Airport. I spent the day flying down to TFS on the New Jet2 A321N and this was my return that day / Day Trip

Flown on the tanker many times for operations/exercises. Crazy to know probably 95% of the passengers there don’t realise it’s a military aircraft 😅
Haha I know, some bookings are done so early in the year, I hear people say "Oh it is a big plane, when we booked it, it was 3-3" Amazing Really

Great video especially when on finals in to Manchester, the views are stunning, we go to lanzarote in 2 weeks on the A330 cant wait to fly on her a beautiful aircraft, keep up the fantastic videos.

You won't see the Airbus A330 or any of Jet2 Airbus Fleet fly out of Leeds any time soon! They are sticking with 737 Ops at Leeds until they take delivery of the A320N which haven't yet been built for the airline. Glad you enjoyed the video though

Im actually a jet2 a330 pilot!
We are flying with Jet 2 from Stansted for the 1st time in Sept. Had good reports about them so looking forward to flying to Turkey xx

It’s not as bad as when Dan Air and Orion operated the old A300s at 9 abreast, as did Monarch and Airtours when they operated the A330s. 8 abreast is very comfortable but true the seat pitch is tight and the seats are the lighter cheaper style
Could be worse. Some A330 operators do 3-3-3 across!
Seats look better than usual jet2.. good to see this video.. could be 3-3-3 in super high density (!)

Great video, I've flown with J2 a few times and my recommendations are: 1 Don't pre-book food ..its a rip off, get something at the airport its far cheaper and you can take on board, The meal deals at Boots at MAN are far better for a tenth of the price! 2: buy what alcohol you want at the airport as they always run short onboard and the airport deals are usually better 3: Be prepared for being on a flying working men's club. Jet2 could be amazing if they just polished a few things up.
Or make your own sandwiches and snap box, even cheaper!
Good old Trent 700 slow spool up (caused by the MEASTO FADEC mod)
10:04 is where the plane goes from full thrust to a thrust adjustment.
I wish more vloggers would show the boarding part of the flight, its so exciting and beautiful

Better off going on that than the 737 or 320 anyday ,not to sure about the mac n cheese tho lol
I’m due to fly to Dalaman on this A330-200 in June 24’ from Manchester. I have mixed messages about the seating, we are a family of three, and I’m looking at booking row 43A - which is two and one in the middle, does 43A have a window? It’s virtually at the back.

Great video! Nice to fly short-haul on a WB, although nothing beats the screaming engines of Jet2's 757-200! I flew last year the A332 to HER and had opted to pre-buy chicken meal. What was your seat number?
I know, I love wide bodies for the comfort and Jet2 offer good legroom on the A330's. I have a few videos of the Jet2 Boeing 757-200 by the way! Must admit I do love that aircraft, don't know what flying would be without it

Ever Since Summer 2017, These are leased from Air Tanker / RAF and are not Jet2's own aircrafts. They use them more high demand routes like Faro, Tenerife, Mallorca and Antalya

That’s correct they now lease 3 aircraft for their high density routes. The A330 is the most versatile wide body aircraft offering a different range of MTOWs and engine thrust ratings to optimise operations. The A330neo have a Max take of weight of 251t allowing it to fly over 8000nm at max max range with a 200t version for shorter ranges. It’s quite common to use widebodies as the charter airlines did back in the 80s with the Tristars, Dc10s and A300s, if anyone recalls Dan Air, Monarch, Orion, British Airtours, Caledonian etc. Those were the days with 3 course meals and amazing inflight service, up to end end of the 90s

@TTE Sam what this video doesn't show is how long it actually took you to get into that Mac n Cheese! I was hoping it was just you and the struggle to get into the meal for 27 mins. Was great sitting and chatting planes for 4 hours.

Why do families take young children on 4 hours flights which make them cranky
I don't think they think of that, family will be lucking at just the accommodation and price of the holiday and just want to get there in one piece. Some family's however are better prepared than others when it comes to entertaining a youngish child
