  • This is just a motorcycle track day at Barber. I decided to ride in the intermediate group being that I hadn't ridden since my crash last year October. I just wanted to make sure the bike and myself were fit for the track and I did not want to slow down the faster advance riders.
I am also riding with my new helmet. The Alpinestars Supertech R10. This is not a review of the helmet, I will do an in-depth review later on. Also, my GoPro fell off while riding. If you zoom into the thumbnail, you can see it dangling from the bike.

Its extremely important to keep your body in shape . It gets your BP down , your Heartrate and so on . So keep in shape , keep running ,swimming , MTB or racebiking ,get your weight down and your muscles up . Eddy from Belgium 60y old and riding on track all spring and summer (the rest of the year weather is pretty lousy)

    The second session was good.
Your body is just re adapting.
I think your more relaxed this time than last time.
I think the tire grows and it came in contact with your equipment.
As you come up through the straights try to breathe a little more so your neck and feet get more comfortable.
More oxygen in your blood will help.
    Stay hydrated too.
    We Are rooting for yah!!!

I was In this position in February had to up the workout routine. Skipping cycling running legs core and a little bit of weights if you want a podium your gonna have to work harder than them off track too. Riding looked great to say it’s your first time out it’s hard to perform 100 perfect when ur physically tired. Watching this I got some tips, 1 u should definitely consider a quickshifter imo. 2 get some electrolyte power to mix with water throughout the day keeps u very hydrated with no cramps, 3 have a look online for nose strips that stop u snoring lol they open up ur nostrils and help u breathe better on track. I’ve had 6 races this year so far and got 2 podiums, people think it’s easy but it’s really not I know how you’re feeling right now. Everyone on the grid wants a podium we just gotta get an edge on them. Great vid as always, excited to see your progress this season. Good luck bro 😎. From 🇬🇧.

Feedback, both positive and negative is always welcomed... So thanks for the positive input.. But yeah, I do need to train a bit more and drop some pounds, or as you guys say, some "kilos".. I'm 6'2" and 98 KGs and want to get down to 86 - 88 KGs.. Yes, I do plan to get a quick shifter, I do drink gatorade but I should add some stuff to my water as well and I did consider wearing nasal strips before. I just haven't gotten around to it yet..
Congrats on your 2 podiums.. And thank you for the kind words.

I'm sorry I missed you. I was paddocked on the third level. I am also recovering from an off at last Octobers GNF, and this was my first track day since. Due to my shoulder still healing I was only out in intermediate sessions 1,2, and 6.... and making no great speed, but happy to be on the bike once again. I will definitely look you up at Cycle Jam. Excellent video. Good luck with the comeback and keep at it. WERA #696

Just keep plugging away. I'd love to see your lap timer data if you have a AIM Solo2 but I think you told me you did not. That's a good looking bike going by at 7:04. That guy at 11:44 is a classic example of what not to do . WTF. Didn't I recommend that maybe you get with a coach for a session? It may be worthwhile.

I didn't use a lap times this day, it wasn't about speed, it was more about building back up my confidence since I haven't ridden in about 6 months.. But I am going to get a digital dash with data eventually..
