Joshua you are a real Guitar Maestro, I'm really enjoying the way you teach us to play this wonderful music on guitar, Greetings from a Spanish fan living in Belgium
I just hate this feeling It just makes me wanna go spain but i can't because of my studies I should be able to play this song in Spain in a few years ❤️
Kia ora everybody. The highly anticipated tutorial for this epic piece by Isaac Albéniz is finally here. Don't forget to click on the link in the description for tabs & sheet music. Let your fingers fly!
This is a good tutorial! I have been playing this for over 20 years and there are so many ways to play this horribly but he is teaching this quite correct as the maestros actually played it (Bream et.al). 7:30 is slightly different but still sounds right.
Thanks Allan. I do put a lot of effort into these videos. To be compared to Bream's transcription blows me away. Interestingly JB's opening chord is played differently to how I play it. He plays a full E and adds a twist at the end whereas I just play a partial chord without the Bream flair!
The way he played it was in my opinion quite difficult to get consistently right. I think your method is a good compromise. Makes my skin crawl when people play the 'B7 in a different position though!!
The south of Spain is worth the visit, beautiful cities like Sevilla and Granada, and really not expensive =D Have a good week my friend ^^ (ouch even the beginning of the song is trickier than it seems haha)
I'd like to see most of Spain if possible. I'm sure it'd be one big adventure for me. Closest I've been is Marseille to visit a wonderful singer that I was in a band with several years ago. I'll definitely make it to Spain :)
Hi Joshua and thank you for your great videos and tabs. I truly appreciate it. I had a question. Do you play slightly different from the tabs you have for this piece? For example, the beginning of the bar #13 the tabs (PDF) shows 4th fret for strings #2&4, but it seems you play differently. Do I read it wrong? Thanks!
Hi Mehdi. Admittedly sometimes I do play pieces slightly different from the tabs. Perhaps I'll go back over the tabs and revise them. Actually, I thought I had! Hahaha thanks for the headsup.
I love this piece. I am not able to read sheet music so i learned it thanks to Josh. How cool is that.
That’s very cool :)
One of the most beautiful pieces, great lesson ❤
Fantastic work Joshua ! You are truly a transmission master of the guitar genius of old times ! Keep it up !
Haha, thank you kind Sir!!
