Could you create a "So You Want to Be an Allergist/Immunologist" video next? I am currently fascinated with the world of allergy/immunology and would love to see an insider perspective on the field. Your videos are some of the best quality on RUclips, and I can't wait to watch the new additions to this series!
It is a great field. My Orthodontist in germany has 2 dr titles (so in Germany, a Dr. med + PhD), completed 6 years of residency in Switzerland in one of the world’s best private practices, did an additional apprenticeship in osteopathy for holistic care, and is one of only 4-5 people in Europe highly specialized in lingual brace technology by DW systems. You are treated so well there, every claim of them is backed by paper that they show you, you are treated with only the absolutely newest, cutting-edge dental tech, and these lingual braces are literally invisible to see, they even provide speech correction treatment, so you continue to sound normal, they clean your teeth every time. After your treatment is done, they whiten your teeth and you get regular aftercare and if needed, invisalign treatment afterwards. So, I take that as an example of orthodontics being a pretty high-tech field, that enables you to be an integral part of a person’s health and happiness in life.
Awesome that you’re doing non physician specialties, also the average pay for orthodontics is us all 300k+ BLS underestimates almost every medical career for some reason.
It’s hard to fathom that there’s enough hours in a day for a orthodontist to see 100 patients in a day in a 8 hour day for example that would give about 5 minutes or less for each patient
I'm 14 and have wanted to be a doctor since..... forever !! . My parents do support me eventhough they are a bit doubtful , and are not completely sure if i will make it. But they did say they will support me no matter what, and i love them for it!!!!. I hope i will make it. I have a doubt to Dr Jabbal and all the docs reading this, i wanted to know if pre med is an actual thing, as in , if it is something like a course or its just 4 yrs of college and pre med is just like a name to let people know I'm aspiring to join med school? . I would be really grateful to have this answered!!
Hi not sure if you got your answer but its more like you mentioned, “4 years of undergrad that lets people know you’re going to med school” There is usually no specific “Pre Med” major , however there are classes you must take to get into med school.
Amazing video! Also, I would really appreciate it if you could do a video on a perfusionist. Technically they aren’t doctors, but are just as vital in the OR. Please? Lol
@@Optometrynerd The cost vs expected income ratio is way out of bounds to start off with, and when you compound that cost with interest payments it’s just a bad idea.
@@edhcb9359 my friend 5 years out of OD school as an associate in a major metro area was earning $180k for a low stress, 9-5, then realized he was getting underpaid. Just recently got bumped to $235k.
If you can guide me please I am about to have a braces treatment done for my deep bite Of all the clinics I visited, if you can comment on this With same degree and same brand of braces (Damon) a doctor is charging me a lower amount because he did not have that senior level experience Another doctor, same degree as previous one (Masters Dental Surgery - Orthodontist) is charging me double the amount for the same procedure. Only difference is--he has been in the industry twice longer than the previous doctor Is it worth to get the high cost treatment for same procedure Would appreciate your guidance Thank you
Nice joke.. Dentists are doctors.. Psychologists are wannabe psychiatrists and are not considered medical professionals.. Fitting for an incomplete field set by pretentious scientists that don’t look at Biology..
@@ThereItIsBuddy funny coming from someone who posts rick and morty videos. Just in case you didn't notice my question was towards the person running the Med School Insiders account and not towards you. I had jaw surgery recently myself, my orthodontist was an integral part of the treatment team working on the post-op recovery to straighten my teeth.
