6 NEW Google Messages Features!

- Yo, Google just gave Android some of the messaging features we’ve all been waiting for! Here’s six of ‘em.
First up, we now have the ability to reply to specific messages which should help keep conversations organized.
Second, in addition to being able to see iOS message reactions as an actual emoji, we can now react with emoji to SMS messages sent from iPhones.
Third, voice messages are automatically transcribed so you don’t have to try to listen to the message if you don’t want to.
Fourth, you can now set reminders for specific messages right from within the messages app. You can even get birthday or anniversary reminders in the app as well.
Fifth, we can now watch RUclips videos sent to us right from within the messages app.
And lastly, we can now star messages to make them easier to find in the future.

What happend to the reply feature
Message reminder has always been a feature, lol. You had to press and hold the send icon and it would pop up.

How to I respond or react? It doesn't show for me when I hold down.
You might have to switch from Samsung messaging to google messaging.
Somehow I just lost all these features randomly, they disappeared

For some reason, I used to have the option to react a few weeks ago, but now I don't. Def don't have all these options yet on my Pixel 7 Pro :( Great video though!

@Northerner i got an app update that was 104mb in size and 2 days later, i got the ability to do SMS reactions. Time for payback to all iPhone users!! 🤣
How do I see timestamp on my google messages? I tap on my messages but the time and date doesn't appear.
Press and hold the message you want, then the 3 dots in the right corner,select view details.
In dark mode the color themes for the messages are horrid. Is there a way to change this?

You might be lol because they just dropped on October 20th. Maybe they came out with the beta a bit before!

How do you activate those features
Google is irritating with their slow rollouts, so if your app is up to date and you don’t have them yet, it will likely be a server side update coming within the next few weeks.

I can't reply to a specific message, though i've updated to the newest version. My wife and friend can reply to a specific message just fine and their devices are samsung a52 and zenfone 5, while my device is zenfone 8. Do you know something about this?
