- I wanted to do a video showing how the spiders are still good and cheap for CIS. Figuring out how you want to use them though can be tough. I wanted to show a lot of the range 4 gunline lists as well as moving in quick lists. I didn't cover a list with the laser cannon because that can easily be switched out with the ion gun and even give you an extra 20 points to add some extra upgrades. 4:24 I love the free attack. Did you ever wicked kick a force user and then self destructed in their face? Not saying its perfect but if your ion spider is dying anyway you might as well kick off some wounds. Very niche but usefull thing to have in your backpocket.
Love that the classic range4 gunline is still alive and kicking. Havent seen any ions being used recently. Mostly flamers in some kind of experimentation lists with close quarters and melee. The Close Quarters Combat list is definitly the one that looks like something I expect to pop up sooner or later. CIS has gotten soo many good melee options over the last releases it feels like its time someobe cracked the code (kraken is also awesome).
I was trying to make sure I included what you mentioned about cis since you're the local expert on them. I hope I was able to give them justice
@@shadowscout0013 I think its good. They are a weird unit but as long as you got override or have orders on them through super tactical droids they are pritty straight forward across the board.

Image the carnage of beaming into a flamethrower that then self destructed in your face just to have Assaji pop up and clean up right after!
That would be THE best case scenario. That could wipe out some minis for sure! Asajj coming in after that would have anyone terrified 😱
@shadowscout0013 absolutely, realistically an impact heavy list would wipe it out before even making it in range and I’d be hiding Assajj behind the tallest cover I could find😂
@@grants565 yea, that's the only issue with armor atm. Everyone is bringing lots of it. And asajj would not be happy 😂
