  • This 100 Square foot vardo style Tiny House shines with character and originality. Parked on a property with several other Tiny Houses, the owners pooled their money together to buy land with a "big house," which they use for toilets, showers, and as a rental.

Correct and agreed with. She at least needs a composting commode. Running back to the main house for the commode would be tedious after awhile. It should go underneath the bed or be where across from the tub. The dresser could be smaller there.

+Corwaka Kane yep, wish there were more like her... TV etc. has taken men and women from their natural beauty. You rarely see a TV in one of these tiny houses, maybe even in a "regular" house, getting rid of the TV would do a chunk of good.. what ye think? no TV, means mind goes into constructive mode, even in just looking for something to occupy it, boredom is the mind looking for something to do. ... they say : )

Daniel Murray Yep, no TV will change your life for the better. For one, you lose the in-group preferencing pressures that sitcoms and dramas project. It allows you to go your own way healthily and unscathed. And two, you find you have more time to do things that interest you.

Lina is beautiful. The interesting thing with tiny houses is that they encourage you to spend more time outside. Most early civilizations maintained small dwellings primarily for (security and comfort) while sleeping and shelter from bad weather. I say early civilization, however the reality is the majority of the people on the planet maintain small abodes to carry out the bare necessities of life--sleep and shelter.

Only thing "missing" is a slightly more accessible sitting area. But I like this one best out of most I've seen. I'm dreaming of building one that is not intended to move so could duplicate this for main living space with a second duplicate space for another sleeping and living area with a covered screened deck or patio and have everything I could possibly want in 200 sq ft space (plus the deck/patio area...)

Samual Whittemore That is so sad! Do you know for sure it was eaten or did the cat just disappear? We have had some real issues with coyotes around here. In particular they have grabbed some tiny dogs out for walks with their owners! There was an article in the paper about this woman engaging in a tug of war with a coyote for her dog. And a commode to use indoors and no more outhouse and the chamber pot that had to be emptied into the outhouse. An cleaned with bleach water. No A/C until I was in high school.

I downsized a couple of years ago and have been living full time in a 25 ft. travel trailer. I've never felt happier or more free. Mine has a bathroom though, and that is the only thing I would change if I built a tiny house like this, adding a bathroom and making the kitchen a little more user friendly for cooking because I love to cook.

Bonita Hobbs but it could have been planned better. She put all her energy into building all the storage units, the bathroom space could have been done better. The tub shouldn’t have been installed. A shower stall and compost toilet would have been more practical and smarter to build. It’s not a home if u can’t wash ur but or go to the bathroom in ur own place! 🙄 This woman has moved in several tiny homes, so she should know better. They pretend they are happy with their build but I doubt it. It’s nice, but unrealistic to call a tiny home. I saw Van builds with a shower stall and compost toilet. Ridiculous! 🙄

It's big enough to have a composting toilet. Most tiny homes don't have a huge chest of drawers; they use the stair drawers/cupboards (her Japanese ones are similar), or the spaces under chairs or bed. She has a lot of storage space elsewhere so, if she wanted to, she could downsize further and get rid of the chest of drawers in her shower room to make space for a loo. I suppose her current location means that she doesn't have to.

I want a tiny home, my problem is going from a three bedroom ranch to a tiny home..my goodness I'd go nuts getting rid of everything..and my grandchildren do take turns spending weekends with me, an i have 9...i do own a 36 ft upright camper and I often think that is big enough..but it is not 4 season, it is only spring and summer and no matter how much heat goes on it..it still stays cold..goodness, we even are going to a 4 season camper place next weekend to see if and what they can do for us..but i still want a tiny home with bunks..well see..im in pennsylvania, so it has to be warm, and I have a rabbitt, cat, and two German rottirs (the bigger breads )
.wish me luck....yours is so so beautiful, love the copper look, it makes it so classy..all my luck to you honey, may god keep u safe...Alice, pa

P, I would love to build my own home. First of all, i have never built anything either. Also, I am looking at container homes too. Some are pre-fab so if you have the money you can buy them. If you put them on wheels you don't need any permit for them. I also need land. One of my co-workers lives near Vermont and has a lot of land. She just might let me build there. We haven't seriously discussed it. I am still working and have about six more years + to go. I would love to get started. There is a lot to think about. Sheila

Lol, love ya'. Get cracking if your pal is offering the land then you are blessed. God love your pal for his/her kind gesture. Just make sure it isn't too close for comfort. Especially if it means a close pal. best way to lose one is live with or near them it seldom succeeds. Who needs money? Most of what I own was left out for free or given to me. I will keep positive affirmation that God will supply the need for my request. So far he does and has.
Blessed am I. ^^ In short, I have no money, lol. Just do eeeet!! Upcycle, recycle scavenge. good luck my fellow brave soul.

Future videos: explain the SIPs to improve the temperature stability and lower the costs of AC and heating. How about a hand sized wind 'mill' electric generator when the sun goes down? Love that shower head hidden inside the medicine cabinet, with a new garden hose. This could be pulled outside for campers. Book: 'The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up' by? looks excellent, how you store all your clothing 'vertically.' Builders in the S.F. This is beautifully designed - the natural wood and the green is so appealing. And so smart to have so much counter space. This is lacking in many tiny houses. I am a new subscriber but I have watched many of your tiny house vlogs as a possible option for me one day soon but what I have not seen or possibly have missed is where and how many of these people settle on a lot spot and all the costs and particulars about that which is critical for many of us considering this option/life. This is a big part of trying to have a tiny house life. What exactly are all the various issues and costs involved. And also perhaps the best states/cities/towns for attempting this life at the lowest costs and best land availability.
Please address this important topic in future tiny house videos.

Wow it just hit me, yeah we do use that word for women but not for men. Let's wait and see once silent gen & boomers have died off, if that mindset is still pervasive.

When interviewing women, people also need to stop asking "do you have any children?" That was what little old ladies would ask back in the 60s and 70s when only a husband and children defined us as the main reason a woman existed. It can also be hurtful if the woman has had miscarriages or children who died. It's a very hard question to answer, and I've seen it bring a TV interview to a tense halt. I've lost two adult children, twenty and ten years ago, and I still struggle how to respond when some well-meaning person asks. Not mention its really no one's business.

It's cute and unique, but better suited for a backyard office space or to use for camping. It's rather impractical for full time living. I see a lot of wasted space, and they lost me with the cat's litter box being in the clothes dresser - we had a neighbor once who kept his cat's litter box in his bedroom closet - his clothes would smell like cat pee/poop, and on summer days, we could smell the odor through our closet which was directly above - we couldn't keep clothes in that closet because of it. Not to mention allowing a cat who's feet are in poo/pee walk all over kitchen counters where food is made.
