Painting anything is no fun. I dread the day when I'll paint my class c!!! You did a very nice job!!! And the flooring looks great too!! Thank you. Be healthy and safe.
My first video on y'all's channel. Thank you ! It's nice to actually see the real deal. Not like" Ohh, this was a simple fix!" I will subscribe immediately 😄
Thank you! Awesome, love ❤️ that. It’s worth every second of frustration. There is definitely a lot to learn, even now I have things I need to do and understand. I LOVE it though and wouldn’t trade for anything!
Looks great! I love the background tile in the kitchen and that's a great idea about the floor around the toilet. I'm planning to get a used RV and renovate it and was wondering about the weird angles (bc I suck at math-it's torture for me). I'm not crazy about black but I love that there are a lot of colors and tile, wood and paint. Not just white, white, white everywhere. (All that white does open up the place and makes everything look neat and clean but I'm not that kind of person).
I agree - I saw so many RVeRS paint everything white and I decided not to paint the cabinets. I think it warmed up the place. And since everybody uses white subway tiles I decided to try black and I absolutely loved the way it turned out.
Love the warm colerful home you have! Im doing same but started with much older class c. Its taken me a year at pay as i go. Yours is one of several that help me stay focused on my goal to hit the road this July. One huge tip for anyone else, find others to help do the things you dont know how to do, then listen and learn so you do know! You ate spot on, choose changes that fit YOU and how you will travel. I moved in fulltime after 6 months, its way easier to do projects if youre not moved in yet. And last, insulated curtains!, add led lights, add usb rechargeable lights and fans, shadecloth and magnets for outside windows and a toolbag even if you wont use it so others can to help you. :)
Thank you very much! I was lucky, most the lights were actually changed to LED when I purchased this Class C. I did sell it and now have a travel trailer and truck and I’m hoping that I will also be getting on the road this July or August.
I was there. Same feelings. My recommendations, if you really want this, start pairing down and selling you items now. Save. Keeping planning and by the time the pandemic is over, you should be able to get a great deal on a used RV!
looks amazing!!! i just started a little painting in my Class C Minnie Winnie. I absolutely love what you did with the dinette space. i want something similar and to definitely take the sofa out
@@btownes5632 yeah the dinettes in some of the older models just was so bulky and I didn’t need a full two seats so I just cut it in half to make an L shape.
I am about to embark, with great fear and trepidation, on the renovation of my elder Class C which we have owned since the 1980s. You made me laugh with your comments and the reality check scenes, all of which in turn has given me courage - thank you! I have to admit, the one with the plumbing fiasco hit home. I am now going to go through your earlier videos and see what you did, how you did it and how any of it might be used in my project. Happy travels!
Don’t be too worried. It was a fantastic way to learn and understand my RV. It’s definitely helps having a sounding board in my brother. He helped figure out the best way to change up the inside. The tool we used came from my grandfather, used to loosen plumbing in small spaces. The nice thing about RVs, you’re really not hooked up to a water line and as long as you don’t have the pump running, not too much water. Just some drips. Good luck in your redo! Would love to see how you progress! Do you have an IG account?
We did a little bit of renovation to our 25' camper. It's nice making it to your own liking. Yours turned out great! Just subscribed and look forward to seeing more videos.
@@awanderingpalette we finished it enough where we could camp in it last summer. We did a video on it. It was all torn out in the front. We still have a couple things to fix for this season, but we will end up selling it anyway because we are going full time next year and need something bigger.
Hello 😊 I don't usually subscribe to RV channels but after watching your videos...I felt like you and I are so similar in personality that I had to subscribe so I could watch your new journey. 😊 I too remodeled a class c and I died laughing everytime you were at " Home Depot " 😂🤣 I also felt like I lived there during my renovations. You did a beautiful job and I'm looking forward to seeing how you transition into living on the road and where your journey takes you. I have a couple of minor things left to do ( new tires, brakes, etc..) then I plan on leaving Michigan and heading to Mesa AZ in September to visit my youngest son. 😊 In the meantime...I will stay in Michigan and get used to driving mine before I head across the country. Take care and I hope you have a blast!! Michelle.
Thank you, I really appreciate it. It has been an interesting journey so far. I am back on the road again, heading south to Alabama for an event. Ohio and Michigan have the same horrible cold winters...excited for warmer weather. I've found I continually re-arrange my space...LOL, every time I drive, something falls, last leg through Ohio the dog food took a dump and my closest threw up my cloths! Apparently the closest latch doesn't really hold too well. Ha!
I am bookmarking this to help me when I re-do my dinette to be like yours! I am impressed with how great keeping the cabinets wood worked out. So many people paint them "WHITE!" and it always feels so cold -- yours has a warm, homey feel. Nice job, indeed. [Reminder to self: walk-thru at 5:10]
I am so inspired as a result of watching your renovation videos. Thank you!! I have a new to me Class C (23.5ft) and I want to create more floor space. My dinette is one of the “U-shaped” dinettes and it is just huge and not altogether useful for me. You’ve done such a nice job. One question: Do you regret not having a table? I currently am not using mine, but I’m nervous about eliminating it, as it will serve as extra counter space and as a work space within my RV. Your thoughts, please? Best,...
That is awesome to hear! Actually I love that modifying the dinette opened the floor space. I currently have a foldable table but just purchase a Lagun table, which allows me to love it very easily out of the way. Will hopefully have that installed by next week! I’m showing that project on my IG account.
I want to sell everything and find a gem class C like yours that I can afford...I have a schnauzer and a cat...my husband passed away...I am trying to start over!!
Very sorry for your loss ❤️ I searched for a long time before I found this RV, just keep looking eventually you will find the perfect ride. Start selling your things now because once you find it, the process is pretty quick!
She loves it...she’s older so it gives her a place to also hide when I’m driving..I actually had to build her a shelf to use to first get up there, now she leaps from the back of the dinette to the bunk...lol
On the walls, it was a combination paint - premier and color - Kilz at Lowe’s - loved it. Took two coats. I did sand all the walls however due to the wallpaper.
You have a new subscriber! The videos are really awesome and entertaining. I was wondering if you could share what you did about the cushions above the cap? Did you cover them or buy new ones?
Actually just covered them with a king size fitted sheet. They were in great shape and it allowed me to keep them cleaner by being able to wash the sheet when needed.
I was lucky and found one that just needed some paint and a few minor changes but was in overall great condition. Good luck have you found one that you are ready to renovate?
@@awanderingpalette not quite yet. I'm currently doing college and unable to buy one cause of it. Just gonna see where life takes me and go from there. 100% gonna buy one when I'm done with my college stuff though.
My dogs don’t shed so my only worry was my cat and really it stayed pretty clean. With pets it's too hard to have any white any where other than the walls
@seeking_the_joy I never said white. And just the dust and dirt from bringing the outdoors in nevermind pet hair. There are so many other colors/prints to choose from.

Thank you! Yes, very happy I didn’t have to paint my new rig! It made a huge difference in the older RV - plus that wallpaper was horrendous!

Gorgeous renovation! Very classy and dramatic! Thanks for sharing even the things that didn’t work out.
Thank you! I’ve since updated it and added a Lagun table! Which is another massive improvement for space!
“Basement of my parents house” 👍 😂 same thing we all thought.

It’s mostly storage and I have a cat, so her food is up there. I had thought about it and might some day but the bed we made works well.
