Perhaps the Yorkshire rabbits like to wash their carrots before they eat them but they’re not willing to reach too deeply in the water to recover them if one gets dropped, I know the raccoons over here in Canada wash their food first. It was a pleasure to see the spring bluebells and hear blackbirds again, I did miss seeing your videos
My cardigan corgi was sitting with me as I watched your video. He started barking excitedly when he saw the lovely sheep through your window. He was born on a farm & I think he misses the country life & his fluffy friends. Thanks from both of us 💕 😊
Sounds strange but maybe the carrots in the river are a type of religious offerings...? but then again that doesn’t really make any sense lol. Maybe someone just likes throwing carrots in the river lol, haha!! Fabulous video Tom.
Hello Tom 👋🏼 new subscriber here from Ohio . I am really enjoying your videos , I also use them to calm down before bed 🙂 I don’t think I will ever hear the words copper , brass , and verdigris without thinking of you 😅
My walks are pretty much all urban dog walks and I am living vicariously through you sir. Thank you for taking me along so I can see the light play in the trees and hear the rush of water at your feet. The finds and your commentary are the icing on the cake.
The peaceful smoothness of your voice is wonderful to listen to. Greatly appreciate the tidbits of knowledge you impart and that you are willing to gather the plastic debris for removal.
YaaaaaaaY!!! The Canadian geese and Mallards were relieved to see you! We had a pair of our 'Blacktop' Quail come to visit yesterday with 6 brand new tiny babies following close behind! Wishing you the best!
Such a beautiful area! I think I could sit and listen to the water for hours!, One definitely needs a shoulder bag for garbage!! Plastic is the gift that keeps on giving! Great ramble in the countryside!!
I do tend to use my shoulder bag for the things I value more, cameras and water bottles and such... the plastic rubbish just gets dropped into the hand bag with the finds, and then sorted out at home. 🙂 I'm glad you enjoyed this.
Interesting as iv always wanted to do this. my favourite place is the Yorkshire Dales and the Moors many happy memories and i hope to go back real soon. It will be the first time on my own when i do as my husband died only 7 months ago from this evil virus. My late husband was a big Terry Prattchet fan. He had a big collection of his. Stay safe everyone love to all xx
Man, those bottles are clean! The carrots are curious and hilarious. I know horses prefer carrots to apples, and I picture them falling from an equine mouth, mid-chew, to plop in the waterway.
Thank you for your video. Although you are critical of the poor finds, we viewers enjoy the journey. You bring the beauty of nature, among the mess left by humans. I was pleased when you took the modern bottle. Looking forward to you next video.
Struggling with computer issues, both hardware and software. Hopefully the problems are past, and I think the next video will be more fun... the finds certainly were. 🙂
Another awesome video of nature’s beauty and her music. Love the finds and thank you for sharing. Your very lucky to live in such beautiful area. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
I too liked the round jar you found, it has a pleasing chunky shape. The chlorodyne bottle was a pretty colour, pity it was not whole. Thank you for a walk in your beautiful area
Thank you. Might have to consider editing up one of the snowy walks I filmed in January, a lot of people seem to be suffering from extra hot summers at the moment.🙂
I LOVE GOING ON WALKS WITH YOU TOM. i REMEMGER THAT ELEPHANT DAY WITH NICOLA. EVERYTHING IS SO GREEN AND BEAUTIFUL !! IM THANKFUL THAT YOU DON'T GO SO FAST AS TO MAKE US WATCHERS DIZZY, THANKS. YOUR VIDEOS ARE SO FULL OF INFORMATION, I LEARN ALOT. KEEP UP THE GREAT ADVENTURE AND BE SAFE OUT THERE. ~:)
I was very happy to see the notification of a new video from you, it was a lovely walk, thank you. I hope you enjoyed your trip and are doing well. Thanks, I am already looking forward to next video.
Thanks Debbie. I'm looking forward to the next one two... the second site of that day was a fun lark, and the third site massively exceeded expectations. 🙂
Kit and caboodlers? northern mudlarks? Your voice is like butter I could sleep to it. You had me at the “naw”, I chuckled and smiled the rest if your video.
Don't think it's a good enough site for either Kit & Caboodlers, or Northern Mudlarks to make the long trip... I know better sites for if they want to visit. Let's go with the Johnsons are frequent visitors, and Docking Bay 51 are fairly local. Lots of people fall like to fall asleep to my videos, it's something I didn't expect when I started, but I really like that even some insomniacs find it helps them to sleep. 🙂
What a lovely walk and scenery. Thanks for sharing it with us, Tom. I think that beautiful piece of Victorian hall tile was the favourite piece for me.
Thanks Margaret, it's been a rough few weeks trying to get computer things sorted so I could finish and upload this video. Hopefully there won't be more tech issues for a long time.🙂
So good to see your post:) As always I love the beautiful scenery! i hope the parking lot doesn't come to fruition and nature wins out:) Thanks for sharing!!!
Hypnotize me with your voice. I am at your command, a new follower. Lead me with your Voice anywhere your voice is a drug so relaxing trying to stay awake. Must slap myself to get through this commentary. The colored glass would be fun in my garden. The drain pipe thingy yes go back and get it stick wires in it with flowered shards made from broken pottery.
Lovely video Tom. I have spent many happy hours on that site and found some wonderful things, mainly in the winter though, it's too overgrown and full of midges right now 😁 x
A lot of Americans find that Canada geese are aggressive. I find them quite pleasant. Living in Texas, with heat most of the year; your videos are so peaceful, calming and the weather, no matter the condition, seems to be cool and fresh. I appreciate your videos and attention to detail, even if you don't find much on your adventures. It must be nice to be able to tromp around without having to worry about any number of venomous snakes one would encounter in the US.
Thanks Angela, it's not one of my best videos, but the next few should be better, and hopefully there won't be more computer issues in the way of getting them out in good time. 🙂
Thanks Ed. Bottle diggers do indeed make quite a mess, but... my channel would be dull without diggers 😀. Bottle diggers only really annoy me when they undermine trees, and parks, and let harmful things like lead get into the streams and rivers... but, thankfully, youtubers like yourself are setting a good example. 🙂
@@tom_burleigh Oh well I wouldn't want to set too much of a good example and put you out of business 😂 It sounds like you had a very busy day going to 3 different places, I look forward to the next one 🙂👍
I don't know about you but I'm finding pushing myself out the door quite a task since we have all been locked away, and I too get tired more than I normally would but your efforts spur me on and show me what I'm missing ;) Thanks for that Tom :)
The piece of Drain looks like a part of an Industrial sized Stove, a Burner perhaps? Could it be cleaned and used in a Kiln? I am recovering from Hernia Surgery and when this appeared in My feed i clicked it without pause. SO GOOD to see You out and about saving and enjoying History. Cheers Tom!
Thanks Christie, I do love Scotland, and hope I can return there before long... perhaps film with Northern Mudlarks again, and Scottish Mudlarks, and Serendip_id 🙂

The pipe thing you tried to flip would be an awesome top to a fountain! You could run the pipe up to the small end and have water come out the small sunflower end
Wonderful to see you Tom. Thank you for taking us along with you. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I'm very curious about why you keep finding carrots in the water. Please keep on staying safe!
One of the most soothing of voices on RUclips. My stress levels instantly decrease thanks to Tom.👍🏻😌👋🏼
Loved this vid, it felt like old times being taking on a journey narrated by a wordsmith with a poetic soul. And a voice that melts more butter.
I've missed you so.
Thanks Teresa, hopefully won't be so long till the next one... I've already edited half of it (and it's much more fun for me than this one was). 🙂

Good Video,
Even though you never found much Tom, the scenery was enjoyable...😀👍
Thanks Eddie. The day got better; the 2nd site I visited was fun (for me), and the 3rd surprised me with a fair number of good finds. 🙂
Sounds strange but maybe the carrots in the river are a type of religious offerings...? but then again that doesn’t really make any sense lol. Maybe someone just likes throwing carrots in the river lol, haha!! Fabulous video Tom.
Excellent! My Sunday is complete!
Thanks Jennifer. 🙂

Yes Brenda, we can live and treasure hunt vicariously through Tom! 🙂
I was thrilled when the notification for your video popped up! I have missed our lovely walks!
Thanks Angela. Not my best video, but I'm relieved to finally have it uploaded... and the next two videos are more fun for me. 🙂
Combines my most favorite things- mudlarking, history, exploring, and unintentional ASMR.
YaaaaaaaY!!! The Canadian geese and Mallards were relieved to see you! We had a pair of our 'Blacktop' Quail come to visit yesterday with 6 brand new tiny babies following close behind! Wishing you the best!
Aww, that sounds very very cute. We had a mallard with 6 babies in our garden a month or so ago, also very cute. 🙂

Good lord, what an outrageously beautiful place. Wow! Thanks.
Thanks for bringing me to this lovely spot Tom. I usually wake in pain in the wee hours, and watch your soothing videos.
I really enjoyed seeing the reflections of the forest across from you as you waded through the river.
I enjoyed seeing the canal boats and woodland scenery. Thanks for taking me along on your journey.
Lovely country , by the river so lush and green , I could almost smell the garlic . As always Stay Safe ; )
Thanks Patricia... it was wonderfully lush there, and the birdsong was wonderful. 🙂
Happy to see you post a video with the sound of rippling water and beautiful scenery who could ask for anything more. Thank you
Toooooooooom! Where have you beeeeeen? Glad to see you 👍🏻🇬🇧

Tom glad to see you out and about.
I love the view from your window, it's very relaxing.
Made my day seeing a new post with one of your adventures.

I'm streaming! I love hearing you talk about what everything is!! And just to see so much treasure in so many different places 🥰😊
Many thanks for this episode!! I love Great Britain!

Thank you for mentioning my artwork 😂 Nice to see you out again and look forward to your next videos!
Thanks Richard, and my pleasure, your artwork is great 🙂
Sweltering heat here, loved the cool green river walk. Thank you.

Ah Dear Tom. Only 12 seconds in and already I feel calm and happy. Lovely to see your exploration once more and to hear your wonderful narration. 😊

Had to come back and rewatch family was here.Lovely day beautiful river.
Some very dedicated bottle diggers around there. Another enjoyable walk. Glad you're back and sharing the beautiful countryside.
Yes, it seems to be a very fast growing hobby, as is mudlarking. I'm glad, my videos wouldn't be as good without the diggers🙂
Great visit! Happy Summer . ..
In these miserable and , bonkers times Tom Burleigh saves our sanity finding treasure and rusty gold.
That's very kind of you to say, thank you.🙂
