Goose bumps. Ring and ping throughout the entire thing.. THIS- folks, is barbershop to it’s core. Richard fitting those baritone notes in so perfectly. Ridiculous.
It was a close year. Score-wise, the top 5 were within 1.5% of each other, and each round had a different winner, if I recall correctly. The top 3 quartets (Powerplay, Gotcha, Metropolis) were all having an absolutely killer week, and they were a cut above... I wasn't surprised at all when Powerplay ultimately took it. Montreal was a great convention!

Best tenor around
Especially for the money. ;-)
Thanks gents for some great singing during these lonesome pandemic days.
I love it!
How these guys never took the gold... that's just ridiculous. I will never understand.
Wen I look back and see their song choices, how they rang the right chords, the listening was such a joyous pleasure I have to agree completly.
I think Someone Broke into the Harmony Society Vault...because theres this sudden Dump of Vids on Talking Shop!
Wow! As someone who tunes pipe organs with an ear conditioned to equal temperament, those perfect intervals are somewhat jarring - but glorious.
The bass/bari fifth at 1:09 is RIDICULOUS. C’mon, HOW did these guys not win the gold?
And 2:24-2:44 - insane ring
