I love French Press coffee too, and recently discovered the secret to take it to the next level (I found a good article on line). Initially, just add enough hot water to barely cover the grounds. Let it sit for 30 seconds. This is called "blooming." Then add the remainder of your water, stir gently, and place the plunger down just enough to keep the grounds submerged. Wait your desired amount of time and then slowly push the plunger down. I bought a hot water kettle with a long skinny spout that allows me to slowly pour the water over the grounds in a circular motion for the initial bloom. And it has a built-in thermometer that shows the perfect brewing temperature. You were correct about not letting the water come to a full boil. 👍☕😋
Hi. I'm going to follow your adventures as I wait on my own T@B 400 to arrive! Thanks for the fun videos! I have a grinder that I seldom use, and now think that I may try that again with a percolator. When I do use the grinder, I just invert it and let the grounds fall into the little cover; it would make it easier for you to transfer. Have fun out there!
That was cute - love the dogs in the video as well. I need to try the french press. I use the old fashioned percolator which can be inconsistent to say the least. But then again, I'll drink just about any kind of coffee!
We always need coffee! Thanks for sharing!

We've followed this advice to the T, and had excellent camping coffee! Thanks for helping us start each day fully caffeinated! 🙃
Glad you enjoyed it! Coffee is important!

Excellent! Will try the whiskey trick.
What chairs are you using. They look comfy.
Did you try the whisky trick yet? ;-)
The chairs are the NEMO Stargazer Deluxe - and they are absolutely amazing!
