    Absolutely BRILLIANT idea using a walking stick for a hand hold! I was dreading adding another boring plastic grip to the inside. Love to see how people “think INSIDE the box”!!

    • @karinhart489
      @karinhart489 5 лет назад +3

      KampKarmaKollies, I saw where someone put in a elk antler or something similar that had the perfect curve.

    • @MandyLea

      I love the walking stick too!! I think we're gonna do it!

    • @KampKarmaKollies
      @KampKarmaKollies 5 лет назад +1

      I live in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and there is a local guy who makes walking sticks. (Sorry Mandy!) We’re going to play around and find one that’s “just right”. I’m a little goofy when it comes to picking out pretty wood grains, lol. His are hefty enough to screw in a few small hooks to hang keys on also. Will most a pic once it’s done.

    • @mont5584
      @mont5584 4 года назад +1

      Hi! I'd like to know how the nice lady attached the walking stick handle. If there's a way to detach it to keep it as a walking stick.

    There were some really great modification ideas! I really liked the idea of using a solid walking stick as an indoor support rail next to the stairs.

    • @MandyLea
      @MandyLea  5 лет назад +2

      Me too! I'm totally going to do it!

    • @sandyw821
      @sandyw821 5 лет назад +1

      I did too. That was a really great idea. I am constantly grabbing the edge of the door when I go out. I happen to have a walking stick that will work. I just need to figure out how I'm going to mount it.

    • @sandyoklahomatransient8557
      @sandyoklahomatransient8557 5 лет назад

      @@sandyw821 Make sure to use something strong, you don't want to get hurt walking down steps and having the stick come off the wall. I'm thinking bolts however, need to make sure the walls can handle them.

    Love the Wings for the galley. Guess she's got a new customer. I did a bunch of mods to my T@G - external solar charging port with parallel/serial switch to the rooftop panel, LiFePO4 battery bank, Roku player tied into the TV mounted behind the panel with USB port for media sticks, battery monitor and the biggest mods are propex ducted gas furnace and I replaced the microwave (it's a XL model) with full extension drawers. Next is to replace the Dexter torsion axle with a off-road worthy suspension. It's the boondock edition but I'd rather have a real off-road suspension. I also switched the 2" hitch with a off-road hitch - of course that's a mod you only need when you intend to tow the thing to places other people don't or can't go.

    I too, like others, here were impressed with the walking stick grab bar to exit the camper. We wonder how it was installed. I looked carefully at that section and it’s attached to the side of the wood shelf about the window to the right of the door and at the bottom to the side of the cupboard. BRILLIANT. Doing that today!!!!

    Love everyones ideas and helpful shares today. But what caught my eye in a big way was the natural wood table top swap out. Wondered where she got the swing about base. I've seen similar in other trailers over the years but haven't seen them for sale as individual use or just as a base alone so you can add a top of choice. I'm a huge fan of the natural edged wood slabs living in the heart of NW Rockies. Just fantastic shares however so stay safe everyone and happy camping.

    • @MandyLea

      Sorry for the slow response!! The curtains I made don't actually cover the window. They are more aesthetic and just go around the sides for looks (and it gives me a good place to hang my pins!). I just used a small curtain rod across the top and I sewed the curtains out of a shower curtain that I bought at walmart!

    Great video and thanks for sharing. An odd ball question for y'all. For those of you that have been living the nomad life no matter what you're living in or out of, have you noticed a difference in your health, an improvement? I've noticed that in the past decade of my various forms of nomadic living that I very rarely ever get sick. Unlike being sick in a stick and brick dwelling where I got the flu annually. I've always been curious as to whether it was environmental, physical or a spiritual change. Anyways a whole lot less stress on this end. Safe travels to all and good night.

    I just bought me a tag xl about a month ago. I am spending 2 weeks in it right now. I am looking forward to a Nucamp camp outing. Do you have any dates for it? I seen a couple of the mods that I could use in mine. Some of these ideas are great for my tag. I won’t be doing them this fall but will do a couple next spring and as time goes on. Thanks for all the ideas. Their great.

    Mandy, have you seen any mods for putting in bunk beds in the TAB 400? The only thing I have found so far is that some people managed to put www.discobed.com/cots/kid-o-bunk-teal-with-organizers/

    Hi Mandy, I have been following your videos for a while now and I LOVE your photos! I find that they have an etheric type of quality to them. I would go to one of your classes, but I live in a different country. I was wondering, have you ever considered giving classes online?

    So are Little Guy T@Gs invited to these, or considered the "evil twin"? I still don't understand the association between these two companies. I was looking at perhaps buying a 2017 LG T@G Max XL. It looks like those two companies were joined in that timeframe, but split shortly thereafter. So is this thing essentially (or actually) identical to NuCamp stuff, or was there no NuCamp till after the split? What's the real story, since I'm new here?

    Just found this channel. I'm seriously looking at the T@B 400 as an alternative to a Casita. A lot of these mods were great. 😁
    Am I the only one who finds the wink at the end of all these videos cringey? What does "love and like" mean? Isn't it supposed to be "like and subscribe"? Anyway, other than that totally stiff and unnatural wink at the end of the videos that creep me out, I'm really enjoying the channel. 😁

    • @MandyLea
      @MandyLea  4 года назад +1

      I've never been good at winking, but I'm not going to let my lack of talent stop me from trying. I'm stubborn. And, I say "love and light" - love to the world, and good light to the photographers out there. If it doesn't seem natural, thats just because I'm being authentic.
