You should be proud of yourself with thinking of all those good ideas to fix a problem.

Hopefully the repair goes well, having a professional do something like this is worth the money in the long run. Good luck.

Hey Paul I agree if this was my house and I was living here alone without a neighbor under me or over me I would take care of it myself but when you have other people involved it can get crazy real fast. My nephews wanted to do this for me but I thought it was better to spend the money and find someone who was a professional The funny thing is he has 25 years of experience but he let his son do the cutting of the tile to get it started and the saw cut into the floor and made a big groove he also tried to double the price when he got here on the positive side he was able to save a lot of the tiles on the balcony that I can use in the other parts of the house that has busted tile that is not available anymore so in a way it saved me a lot of money although the adventure is not over yet.😀

Brad, I never had a brisket sandwich. unless that is like corned beef brisket. What do you make the brisket with and what cuts of beef is it? You should do a brisket sandwich video.

@@RobbsHomemadeLife it was at one time, a giant hunk of meat. My wife cooked low and slow in the over for about 6 hours. We cut it up into old people portions and froze about 3/4 of it. Then, we eat what we got thawed out until there’s none left. Then we wait until til we get the hankering for more, and thaw another portion out. Tomorrow, I’ll probably eat the rest of it in an omelette.

Hi Robb! At least you have solved the dilemma of how the water leaking downstairs. You could always take a stencil and paint fake looking tiles instead of the rug, would be easy to keep clean and not soggy.
    Have a blessed night!

Hello willows that's a good idea I was actually looking into that I may just use the polyester Matt that looks like a carpet and it doesn't hold water but I like the painted tiles also the painted wood

Hey Oscar I thought that was you I appreciate those mixed nuts very much. I will put them in a video. When I was a kid we were very poor and I always thought mixed nuts was about as fancy eating as you could get. All we had was chunky peanut butter if we were lucky.

Hey Richard thanks for watching and leaving helpful comment I have looked into the interlocking plastic tiles and believe it or not during my weekly trash beachcombing trip a few months ago I saw someone throw out a bunch of them from their balcony that I could e used for my balcony. The problem is I have my shelving units on wheels and I don't know how easy they would roll over those type of tiles or if they would leave indentations from being on top of them for a long time. But I'm sure everything is going to workout plus it gives me an opportunity to get rid of a lot of things that I should have tossed a long time ago

    Yup. Epoxy paint. 👍
I remember when the shop I worked in tried two part epoxy paint.
A fellow took too long to finish and the stuff solidified in a nice new Binks spray gun. He may have used too much activator. It was a mess . Once that stuff hardens it’s nearly solvent proof.
    There was no fixing it.
How about a layer of hot tar and then, coarse sand? 😁 That’ll seal it up.
BTW, The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Spatulas wants to speak with you. SPCS don’t mess.

Hey chops that was a dollar store spatula I rescued it's sort of like a service spatula

I will relate the message at the next meeting. Your well within the rescue /re purpose clause.
I bought a Dollar Store spatula and ladle. They were solid stainless but dead soft. Too soft to use.
(I think they were unfinished blanks ,sold when a dream died.) I went to turn an egg and the handle bent.
I pounded along the center of the back of the handles with a ball pean hammer on a metal plate. The pean spread and stiffened the metal while forming a pleasing arc. They work well now. Fifty cents each ,plus a little pounding.

The law of unintended consequences (actions taken with a specific objective in mind can lead to unexpected outcomes), however you did not know about the previous repair under the tiles, so you are acquitted Robb. LOL Also, could you add sand or some kind of grit to the epoxy once it's painted on in order to hide the tile glue somewhat and avoid the rug altogether?

    • @RobbsHomemadeLife
      @RobbsHomemadeLife  4 месяца назад +1

I know I'm looking into how people make their own tiles with paint also I used to have an old girlfriend that made or painted fake wood on things that might work good for the floor we'll see what happens
