- Welcome to my 2009 Corvette C6 Z06. In this series we're going to get to know this sports car, from it's design, its 7 liter LS7 engine, it's TR6060 transmission and everything else everyone loves and hates. We're putting it up against the Camaro ZL1 1LE, the Honda S2000 and we'll compare it to other cars like the Viper, the Porsche 911 and more.

You can still get the 24 Camaro SS 1LE in 6spd along with a new 24 Mustang GT in 6spd as well. But the C6 Z06 is by far my favorite of the Vette lineup because it requires the driver to use actual skill to drive it fast. It has great potential on the track in the right hands. Also, have to love the factory 2 mode exhaust system where you can go from Mild to Wild if you so chose.
The heads will NEVER be an issue unless you keep pounding the piss out of the car. The beginning of the run serial numbers had the issues. Normal driving will never develop a problem. Early heads were made in Mexico, and later cars were made in Canada. One of the best years for the Z06 with the 427 cubic inch, 7.0 liter motor. Big brother was the 1967 Corvette❤
I've never experienced a C6 Z06. But I own a C5 Z06. It's a 2003 model and a blast to drive!!!!
My C6Z is going on it's 18th year with original stock heads untouched, went ripping in it last night, but that said I take impeccable care of it change the oil at 3,000 mi or once a year whichever comes first always bring it to temperature before getting on it etc...you can definitely blow them up if you try so don't and enjoy 😎👍
Get those HEADS DONE BRO !
That car weighs 3100
I work for a GM dealer we have these quite often and would love to own one someday for now I still love my Type R
Love my c6z. Only downside, the interior is dated, and not really boost ready.
Get the Heads. Done!!!!
What type of rear spoiler is yours? I assume you had it painted stock color?
You're correct about everything
Hey dude! I bought your red c8. Awesome car!!!
I suggest buying those plastic syringes you can find at auto parts stores, and extracting the clutch fluid from the reservoir if you haven't done so yet.
Hey Elias! 👍💪✌
Responding to your comment about the convertible LS7 was 2013 only and was only available in a standard trans, Im actually on the hunt for the convertible 2013 model 427 .
I have an 09 AO Z, and searched for three years to find it. My second choice was your Jetstream Blue. Do you have "Mild to wild" exhaust kit yet? You might like it :-) Cheers from Canada Canada
needs a corsa xtreme with the x-pipe
Have you done the head fix yet on the Z?
Have you addressed the head issue yet ?
When did you move to Florida?
