Sean Tucker - I like his street photography
I love Sean as well- simply brilliant
Oh yeah Sean Tucker is a fantastic photographer!!!
OMG!! Monaris is amazing. I have been studying her work for while. Thanks for doing this.
Love this series Omar. You did a fantastic job explaining the composition of all of the photos and what makes them great. Keep this series going and thank you! -Kevin
appreciate it!
Great idea! Sean Tucker or six street under would be good
Everybody knows of them tho.
Absolutely love this idea! Inspiring and thoughtful. Helps me as “pre-beginner” (like pre-K 😊) learn what actually goes into making these beautiful photographs work so well. Thanks so much for continuing to teach and encourage us. Looking forward to the next one in this series!
James Nachtwey - Incredible photo journalist 🤟🤟🤟 love your videos ❤️
thanks so much! Incredible work. Might be too sad to explore. (but important) . :(
I like this idea. I like your channel and delivery. Please do more of these videos.
I had missed this video of yours but YT algorithm proposed me may be because in these day I'm studying Paola prospective in photography. I loved your explication, thanks a lot
Omar, es una idea excelente presentar a estos fotográfos. Todos podemos aprender mucho de ellos. Adelante con el proyecto.
It's a genre of photography that you have to have a passion for in order to get good at it. This lady obviously has it. Good video.
Another great video, Omar. The Spotlight concept is brilliant!
thanks so much!
This is a good little something different from you. While we have no shortage of photographer ‘spotlights’ on youtube, it’s something I always enjoy and is always good to hear another voice on someones work. 👍
Plus, I always seem to find another brilliant photographer to follow! Thanks Omar!
This is a great idea to shout out great photographers that may not be well known. Now I wanna go find some good instagram profiles. I know my feed is all over the place so kudos to those that keep a consistent look to their feed.
It's so funny when you said: "Aaahh! Street photography is so hard..." LOL
Brother!!!!! You nailed it she’s a humble human. Love her work and special artist. Very inspiring
Great start of the Series. I've been following her for a while now in Instagram.
Oh. I am going to love this series. Thank you Omar!
thanks! Looking forward to more. :)
@@ogonzilla Same here! Can't wait.
Excellent Video and idea Omar, Loved the work of your guest and the way she looks at her subjects she shoots and uses her own personal photographic style to portray her work.
It is always good to look at other photographers work, both past and present to get inspiration for yourself and your work.
Saul Leiter, Robert Doisneau, Diane Airbus, William Kleine, and Ernst Haas are worth looking up for inspiration all with different styles in Street photography. Of course there are lots more you can look at.
There are so many styles in street photography all telling a story in there own way. That's what makes photography fun finding your own style, in whatever type of photography you like to do.
Love your idea and look forward to seeing more. Cheers Steve
Great series! Look forward to more.
2:52 inspired me so much! Thank you Omar for a great video
Did you notice the caption on the photo at 07:14, the woman in the yellow dress looking out through the window? Perfection!
This was so fun to watch Omar great job in breaking down her style of shooting I love her work you nailed the ending with the hibarito music thank you for this video mi gente! #Boriqua
That’s why my favorite lens for street photography is the XF 100-400 on the X-T2, no confrontation with the subject (of course I have to shoot everything from 100 yards away) LOL
I'm looking into a 1200mm...lol
@@ogonzilla LOL
Loved this video - please share more. Thanks
That photo at 3:38 is an incredible capture
and the comment underneath the caption lol
Great idea for a series. As always nice video Omar,... Thanks
Great vid Omar - you mentioned consistency - have a look at Joshua Jackson's work, his use of colour (especially red) is wonderful and it's different as it's often street photography at night with an abstract quality that I absolutely love and inspires me to try out different styles. I definitely need to be more consistent in how my pix look, your vid on Monaris has prompted me to look at how I can bring that to my photography. So thank you Omar, love your vids, always fun and inspiring, be well, jayjayjjetplane (Birmingham, UK)
Love it. More more...
Great series! There are loads of videos to show you how to take a technically correct picture, but learning good composition and training your eye is far too often neglected on YT.
Thanks!
Videos like this is so cool... And monaris skills is awesome. And also cool to see Latinos puetoricans like you doing art. I'm Dominican btw. 👍
Yes, yes, yes! More please.
Love it. The explanations of the techniques with examples is great for me. Gives me something to go out and practice. Thanks!
She’s super talented!
Cool episode. Love her work.
Yesss, keep this series going!
Hi Omar. I have seen her work on IG. Very nice. However, you really need to interview your guest photographer and maybe let him/her talk about their work/techniques. Also, shooting them actually employing said techniques would really make this series much more interesting.....you can possibly make this into a separate youtube channel.....spinoff series, anyone??
Great stuff Omar .. Street Photography is controversial, challenging and fun .. Viva Puerto Rico 😀
Love this Spotlight series
More like this please. Really enjoyed your video 👍
this is great Omar.
Her photos remind me of Saul Leiter. Also check Fan Ho, Daido Moriyama, and Alex Webb. A lot of street photographers today try to emulate them.
love this omar!! i gave her a follow. great work. i'm a street photog. too. mostly in NYC, but wherever i go.
Great idea for a series. For street photography, how about Joshua Jackson @joshkjack?
on the list! thanks!
Love it!
LOVE this new series!
More of these, please! Suggestions ..... heroesforsale .... golden2dew ...... for a study in minimalism, captain.solo
Boriqua for life... lol great video. Can’t wait to see the next in the series.
Nice idea, this is more interesting than just a lens review
Great episode! Lets discuss Sean Tucker next!
Man, your channel is amazing. Just discovered it and loved specially this video. I would suggest two photographers I love: Fran Mart and Garrett King
Great idea, waiting for next episode 😺
Frame in the frame, this is my take-away, thanks, OG mate.

Un ami de France...

Great choice!!
For landscape photography you may check out Nigel Danson

Excellent choice! She is the reincarnation of Saul Leiter :)
Fantastic series and great idea , something new in photography , if you could add some suggestions on how hat photographer took the pictures wish you good luck , i love it
Muchacho afeitarse, good job 👍 brother
Love the series and dig the beard!
do more! Great!
Excellent idea for a series...suggesting @glanzpiece
Great idea to do this, I love it.
Liking the idea of this series. Pau Buscato or Daniel Arnold would be my photographer recommendations.
in the Adorama video, she said her favorite focal lengths are 55mm and 85mm (on Sony mirrorless FF)
love this series!
@alan_schaller is definitely one of my idols in street photography. I think showcasing his works is definitely a must.
On the list! Great for BW talks. Thanks!
Very interesting Omar. Thanks.
Great idea for a series, bring on the next one. All respect for monaris, but 'convenient' choice to pick a Insta-Giant 🙄
My suggestions:
@cloudsdealer
@thethinblackframe
Hi Omar. I really like this video and the idea behind the series. How about Joshua Jackson or Craig Whitehead (sixstreetunder) ?
Love this idea!
Great idea, Omar!!! And that ending LOL
I love monaris!!! She's amazing. I also really like: @alan_schaller @pampinf @manolobrown and @sixstreetunder
Thanks Dani! Added to the list!
Great Idea. I discover Paula Franqui.. I like her work , ouwaouh! Longer lens is perhaps the solution for me as I fell unconfortable with taking pictures of people in the street here in Brittany... Thanks... Ideas of photographers? Sarah MOON and Jordi KOALITIC .. See you soon !
For potrait photography, you probably love Brandon Woelfel.
Luv it
Great idea for a series, looking forward to more. Pls. consider bigheadtaco.
Taki!!
wonderful light
Very inspired photography - nice to be introduced to Monaris' work!
Suggestions for street photographers: F.D. Walker, Bas Hordijk
Great video series. Waiting for the next analysis of photographers! BTW, at the end of the series, analyze this guy - @ogonzilla
Hello Omar, I want to shoot videos, do u think fuji xt3 will be on discount at Black Friday on November? Ty, I'm from Argentina and I'm really poor xD
Hi Omar, I've been watching you since the beginning when I bought mine XT20 (about the same time you did). I feel I know you, but I don't (unfortunately). I like what you are doing with this new series (it has a lot longer legs than any camera). Please say Hello! to Moe, you guys are great together.
Hey, if you're ever in the NYC area...we can go out and shoot! Thanks for sticking around.
Hey Omar
I’m suggesting @sixstreetunder
Or
Myself ;) @la_photo_de_rue
Best regards
Jérémy
Thanks!!
Omar, I love your channel, you inspire me to want to be a better photographer. I’m new to photography and this may be a stupid question, but in street photography, do you need the subjects permission to put them on your social media page?
In the USA, you do not. However, if you plan to advertise with the photos, you'll need a model release. I believe one can sell and display street images as "art." but contact your lawyer. :)
@paulbrouns, his IG focuses on geometrical and architectural images and I find them visually striking and unique.
You keep talking about Monaris framing ..but it appears that she may not be actually shooting were people were framed at all ..or at least in your observations of her work.
Video is aces.
John Free (out in L.A.
Great idea! Cool to see what inspires her! Looking forward to the next one. You could go way back and check out Robert Capa. 😬 Like, way back ...
Hi mate, can I nominate Omar Gonzalez to talk about tips to photography toddles on Fujifilm? They move too fast, I am struggling to get sharp photos indoor with my 18-55 kit lens, my ISO is about 1600-2000 and shutter speed is only 1/160 ish. I bet he has the first-hand experience.
Yo soy boricua!! Pa que tú lo sepas 🇵🇷❤️
this is so interesting! I'd like to see Joshua K. Jackson @joshkjack on the next video!
he's on the list! thanks!
Can you find more people who use our camera's? The Fujifilm people need inspiration because we're kind of the "hipsters" or different from the norm photographers.
Sebastião Salgado PLEASE!
NiCE!! He's only got 20 insta posts....will have to search deeper. Thanks
Omar Gonzalez Photography there is a documentary on him called the salt of the earth. I think it was on Netflix at one point
Holy smokes! Omar, this is lovely work, many thanks for inspiration to start the day. I love that you include the feeling of the photographic art in your videos and not just the mental-technical side. Just an aside: I don't think a photographer could match her work by thinking "frame within a frame." That's just a tool, but the power that gives her photos life is the expansive feeling of sympathy with her subjects - they aren't objects; she's saying "we are one." Skipping lightly over that - I'm in love with the Canon 135/2 for candid people shots. (My article with real-world examples from other photographers: anandagarden.com/eye/2019/05/38-more-reasons-to-order-the-canon-135-f-2-right-now/.) Also, Monaris's work reminded me of a wonderful documentary that's available on Amazon Prime; "Nothing Changes: Art for Hank's Sake," about 88-year-old NYC artist Hank Virgona.
Great! Will check out the video thanks!
I try to edit tones like monaris, but it so difficult 😭
My suggestion: Hideaki Hamada, an amazing portrait/lifestyle photographer.
Beautiful soft airy look! Thanks!
@@ogonzilla Oops, with your title and description, I have no idea why I missed that this series will be focused on street photographers. I appreciate your reply, though!
if she hasn't been mentioned yet... I like @visualmemories_ (she mainly uses a Fuji X100F and sometimes iPhone)
Please do @YK!! He's very good
Next photographer for this series should be Sixstreetunder...aka Craig Whitehead.
