    For God sake, why don't you start by simply saying what the hell is Eutectic material;
    i.e. A eutectic system is a homogeneous, solid mixture of two or more substances that form a super-lattice; the mixture either melts or solidifies at a lower temperature than the melting point of any of the individual substances. The phrase most commonly refers to a mixture of alloys.

      So I was studying this topic for my exam right ? And I came across this video, could not understand a single word of what he's saying. Then there is your comment. I had to login for this. Thank you so much for the explaination. All I needed is just that.

      The higher up academic you are the lesser good of pedagogic skills i feel like. High school teachers are normally better to educate then university schoolars imo. Sorry for my bad english

    This type of question was on the FE Chemical exam. I never learned this in school. Thanks for the video.

    See, this video is an example of why you just can't learn anything in schools these days.

    It is certainly more than enough to understand microstructure in eutectic alloys. Thanks a lot.

    I am a student who is not from metallurgy background. I don't understand the difference between solid solution and two phase mixture. Please explain.

    Very nice presentation, thank you! Just one question remains for me: near the end of the video, you explain that more eutectic than alpha-phase is present. Why is that? When taking the lever rule, the distance between alpha and "x" is much shorter than the distance between "x" and E, so more component alpha must be present?

    How to know the optimum mole fraction or mass for A & B? Is there any calculation?

      I'm guessing this one is an introductionary video with the sole purpose of giving the viewer an idea of what the concept of the eutectics (??) even means. It would probably take a way longer video to answer your question. But I don't know because I'm a total laic, and I don't even understand how can a single material have two or three different melting points. The diagram seems pretty nonsensical to me to be honest.
      EDIT: Nevermind, I sort of get it now.
