i am mixed with low porosity 4c natural hair and my mom never taught me nothin about caring for it. but i haven’t been natural in a long time so my relaxed hair is very low porosity. but i have been “co-washing” since i was an early tween. I started to rarely shampoo my hair cause i knew the difference in moisture when i would vs when i didn’t was drastic i love that i figured that out on my own
Same happened to me, like i was deep conditioning but i was using so much protein, even my DC had some protein in it,then i got protein overload cuz of that. Also i cant use nothing that has coconut(oil, butter, milk, water)basically nothong that comes from coconut or Aloe vera things. So its more difficulty to find produts protein free that doent have this ingredients cuz when the protein overload its so high i cant use this ingredients

I have to use leave in now. The Whole no leave in movement doesnt work for me. Since my hair is damage. So you use eden cream with miss jessies custard?
so with the ACV you spray in and rinse off after you have washed to close the cuticles, so then does that mean the products you then put in after you have washed wont absorb into your hair because the cuticles are closed from the ACV?
High porosity hair's cuticles easily open back up, so they can't be "locked shut." That's the nature of high porosity to easily accept moisture. Hope that helped!
Hi, have you ever experienced moisture overload in your hair? If so, how long did it take to bounce back and what helped? It’s been a little over two weeks and I don’t want to make my hair worse. I have 4a, fine, high porosity and medium density hair and it’s breaking easily and getting more tangled than usual and so far I’ve clarified and added more protein to my hair (no intense treatments though). Should I just keep at this process? I miss my hair being in its original state 😩
How do you keep the ends of high porosity hair moisturised and detangled? My daughter has high porosity hair and even before we finish moisturising the entire head, the “moisturised” ends are dray and tangled again.
How do you really know if you have low or high porosity hair? I did the strand test and it looked like my hair floated when I had one single strand but when I did a larger clump of hair, they sink to the middle. However, the characteristics that I experienced are of high porosity hair. For example, my hair can look extremely dry the next day after a wash day, I have some breakage, hair fills somewhat brittle at times, and I get a lot of tangles.
whats the order/difference of shampooing and just washing ? is shampooing with shampoo and conditioner and then co washing is regular conditioner and deep conditioner? and do u have to hydrate or moisturize after co washing ? someone help 😭 , also i have thin high porosity hair so should i put all my moisturizers in while still wet after shampooing ? or does it even matter??
Sorry I forgot to ask you where I should store it, do i have to put it in the fridge? And for how long can I use this spray till it goes bad (if it goes bad). And mostly, should I use the spray every wash or once a week? Thank you and sorry for the many questions 😅
That stringy feeling is kinda scary to me cause to the touch it feels stiff and like my hair could snap any second almost like dry hair but not quite... that's what stopping for continuing to use ACV.

You must deep condition all the time on wash day and protein at least every six weeks as Mae sure to moisturize use leave in to
doing LOC instead of LCO was a game changer for my high porosity hair! thanks for the tip!!

Glycerin is tricky for me living in the humid south. I don't touch it in the dry winter either.

I would go for maybe one intense treatment! I have & it took me about a month to recover 😭
How do you keep the ends of high porosity hair moisturised and detangled? My daughter has high porosity hair and even before we finish moisturising the entire head, the “moisturised” ends are dray and tangled again.
No biggie! Just add water as needed & work in small sections, twisting them up as you go so they don’t dry out!
Very good tips
Thank you!

Sounds low porosity to me! Especially since your hair doesn’t sink, but seeing how easily your hair accepts moisture is the best way to know 💕
Do you co-wash with regular conditioner or co wash, wash it out and then deep condition with a separate deep conditioner?
Yes ma’am!
Great video
Thank you!

How many minutes has the Apple cider vinegar to stay in the hair and then rinse it out?
Don’t need to leave it in at all! I rinse it out after I squeeze it through my hair
