On our first trip to Borneo Malaysia we head to an island here in Borneo that no tourists visit. While other islands near Semporna attract masses of tourists, this peaceful and isolated island near Kudat above the tip of Borneo has hardly any visitors. We were the only guests here on this hidden tropical island for our whole stay, which we spent on our very own private beach watching some of the most epic sunsets we've seen in Asia and eating some of the cheapest and best seafood you can find in Malaysia! This is our life on a remote Borneo island...we found paradise here on Banggi island and it has to be one of the best places to visit when you travel to Sabah in Borneo Malaysia.
Tammoyo Place: goo.gl/maps/rg...
How to get to Banggi Island:
KK - Kudat by shared car: 50 RM per person, leaves when full, go to the parking lot near Merdeka square early before 9am for the fastest departure.
Location: goo.gl/maps/4s...
Kudat - Banggi Ferry: 23 RM for economy class ticket (make sure you ask specifically for this at the counter, or they might charge you for first class which is basically the same)
Leaves at 9am & 2:30pm, takes 90 mins.
Location: goo.gl/maps/uB...

my god. Im a local Sabahan and all i have to say is not many people that i know have been to that island including myself. Certainly you guys are the ONLY FOREIGN RUclipsR who travelled and stayed there !!! Now thats AWESOME. That is the REAL TIP OF BORNEO off to the island. Cheers mate. Can't wait for your next video and stay with Sabah!!
Thanks so much 🙂 we always like to go places and film where other foreigners haven't been
one of your best episodes so far..keep up the great work and thank you for showing these underrated places around Malaysia
Ah thanks so much, that means a lot 🙂
Also recommended here in sabah :
1. kundasang
2. climb mount kinabalu
3. sepilok orangutan rehabilitation centre
4. sipadan island
5. borneo kellybays
6. mabul island
7. danum valley
and many more.
The metrology department of Malaysia have issue a heat wave warning so do becarefull. I think allot of locals would probably stay indoor or at a waterfall in the jungle cause its cooler there.
Banggi Island looks beautiful 😍
Thanks for showing us the Sabah side that we seldom see, looks beautiful there!
Oh my God... thank you for sharing this beautiful remote island ... hats off to you both... 🙌🙌🙇🙇❤️❤️
Wow! This was wonderful! So glad you had this beautiful experience!
Just Wow! To the sunset...
Wow this is the best video so far I have seen for sabah... I am local Sabahan and I don't even know this place.
Must go to Ranau.. yeahhhh..
Your enthusiasm and energy is just so explosive, keep it coming! Real adventurers you both!

So Very Beautiful!
Greetings! From: Sabah, Philippines.
Borneo feels so unexplored. I remember seeing a lot about it on National Geographic as a kid.
You guys! I'll be following your trip in Borneo Malaysia for sure!😃Nice drone footage ;) keep on traveling. Stay champ 🏆
Thanks man!
Bro Mario, you really need to learn fishing from me haha😂🤣
Glad that you both enjoy your stay in sabah, by the way.. Harvest Festival is around the corner, if you are able to stay. There would be an event on 31st May

@@TravelsonToast 😀
So beautiful. Just awesome.
OHHHHH u finally come to my Area!! please visit THE TIP OF BORNEO too! (recommend around sunset, its beautiful there. bring your own snack just in case)
great video btw and happy holiday
I have been to Banggi and stayed there for a while. My take, it is important to always be careful around saltwater crocodiles, as they are usually more aggressive than freshwater crocodiles. Both of these crocodile species are commonly found on Banggi Island.
Also, sorry for the inconvenience when you bought the ticket. As a Sabahan myself, I can tell you, the local (particularly those living along the Sabah's coast) will take advantage of tourist. If you have a choice to reject any suspicious transactions, then do it.
nice guys
Dope 😎👌
Mario, that haircut suits you really well man! You should keep that cut lol. That place looks beautiful btw! So glad you guys get to experience all of that together! Love from the U.S!
Thanks 🙏
Like it...an amazing advanture. Keep it up guy's and take care also. 👍
Thank you!
This island is quite remote and the largest in Malaysia and not many Malaysians know about it because it is not popular for tourism.
Please vlog more when you still at kota Kinabalu
Wow that looks amazing, the best accommodation ever, enjoy guys x
Already miss it!
Oh man Borneo has been on my bucket list for a long time!!! I want to meet an orangutan! Happy Travels

Go to Sibuan Island sabah...very33 beautiful👍🇲🇾💃
7:12 i told ya
Great video 👍🙂
Thanks bro 👍
Remote tropical islands 🏝 very nice natural retreat 👍 but quite scary when find out that the river/estuary u guys crossing got saltwater crocodiles 😨..saltwater crocs in Sabah are ferocious...
yeah, i wonder if they have signboard warning there😅😅
@@sirbobhatethenumberyoutubegive I don't think so, it is remote island.. if there's a signboard I am sure Mario n Olivia wouldn't cross it😅
Nop no sign, only warning from locals. Apparently they don't like people so they won't usually come near you
@@TravelsonToast maybe they afraidof u guys😆😆
Love u channel 😍 , im a sabahan myself never even travel enough to discover my own place thanks for letting me know about banggi island and what to do there , i would to go there if i have time hehe
Do it! Great place to unwind and take time off from the busy world
𝕍𝕖𝕣𝕪 ℕ𝕚𝕔𝕖 𝕗𝕠𝕣 𝕧𝕚𝕕𝕖𝕠 ❤
Nice beach, esp the tip of the cove, conn to triangular island.
But the white sand began to rot.. guess dirty water swept from some major cities to here.Maybe this why nobody feels likely to come.. not so clean water .?!?
Next, can you come in Semporna, Sabah😂
Guys. Be carefull with saltwater crocodile min 10.54 👍🏾
👍👍👍
U r in heaven
I tried the Lingvist code and wouldn't work for me. Sent them an email so hopefully they can sort it out. Was so cool to see your adventures here. I have looked into staying at Bak Bak beach and some of the remote beaches in Kudat but didn't realise you can actually get over to Banggi Island as well. You guys are making my travel wish list too long haha.
Hi Mel, we're really sorry about that! We've also contacted them to solve this issue too so we will keep you updated. Another great spot not too far from bak bak is Tajau Laut guesthouse, we stayed there just after tammoyo place!
They've got back to us and said it should be working now!
@@TravelsonToast awesome, yep it’s working now. Thanks for the tips!
❤❤❤
Dont miss mabul pleaseee
🌳🌳
Hike up Mount Kinabalu guys. It will test u mentally & physically.
hiking need months of practice... not easy😅
Yeah we would love to but didn't plan in advance, you have to book to do it because limited spaces. Maybe next time!
Sabah is paradise of seafood, super cheapp the only downside cost of traveling there way expensive that why mostly people in mainland end up in Thailand
Yeah we found the transport to be the most expensive so far in Malaysia
Most beautiful islands in sabah are near Semporna
Yeah we heard about them!
Be careful of salt water crocodiles. Always ask local.
You should be careful when you in isolated beaches in Sabah. There are saltwater crocodiles
U guy find the secrets beach again?!
Always!
Poring hot springs
Just watch out for jellyfish. These places have many records of jellyfish stings.
Mosquitoes??
not cold at night?
@@sirbobhatethenumberyoutubegive now heat wave.
@@keangwooichoo6138 make sense
Only around sunset or if it rains, but they provide a mosquito net and incense, best to take bug spray 🙂
Do not tell people over tourism is bad
Buaya!
