@@denelloangelo I had a look when I first commented on this video, and the “Mac” versions were dodgy and the reviews said it didn’t work. From what I found, the real programme isn’t available on macOS. :/
Here are some ways i use nowadays on my pivot animations: 1. To have pivot version 5, the newest version available 2. Making smooth animations. These are one of the most important things for making an animation, the more smoother your animations are, the better they will be. So l use 33 fps and inbetweens for making extra - smooth animations. 3. Downloading cool figures. This will make your animations better to look at, as some figures are almost impossible to make by yourself. 4. Making time for creating these anims. This is far - by on of the most annoying things of an animation, as they take time to make, but also on second thoughts, the more time a person consumes for making a complete animation, the more better his animations are
33 fps is by far overkill. just because you want smooth animations doesn't mean you should completely gut hastiness and speed in your animation. 20-25 fps is more than enough.
While it is up to personal preference, I prefer to not use anything over 25 as that is CRAZY fast! My personal favorite frame rate is 20, but sometimes I go a little higher or lower.
My suggestion for weapons, never let the stock dangle behind, unless you are making a hipfire animation, try to see how big the weapon is irl and try to size it that way.
it may be more smooth, but when u make ur animation walk its not like how humans do it, humans will have thier feet planted in one place, not slide along (btw its number 2)
Remember, don't just follow the frames that this guy uses, I used to use 14 - 17 basically the entire time I was using pivot animator and I recently switched to 30 fps which I find a lot more comfortable.
@@DanzEdita yeah, old enough I learned my lesson lol its better to start at lower animations because you can get your skill in overall animation better easier, remember lower fps doesnt mean worse animation, good animation makes good animation. anyways, with 30 fps you CAN double frame to make slower actions even slower, you can do this with all fps, one of the more popular animators michi (flame) uses this and my god her anims are amazing
??? What are those walking animation? People don't just casually slide while moving. When animating walks, make sure that the "foot" of the figure don't move, as it is what is pushing the figure foward. When the other foot step down, then the first one start moving. Do not make them sliiiiiide
People still make pivot animation??? Man, i used to make them as a teen a decade ago. I'm so glad the community still exists.
Tbh for me Pivot animating is like a forgotten Animator tradition, only a few Animators make Animations from pivot I think
@@denelloangelo I can’t use it coz I use Mac nowadays :( otherwise I would be making animations again
@@shockafter7 wait I think pivot is available in Mac, idk I'm a windows user :C

Yea, its better than ever, especially with the new pivot.
Although, I've mastered these principles, it's still nice to see someone shares their knowledge
AS AN ANIMATOR MY SELF i appreciate your tips with respect and honor

i love the new feature in pivot 5 named inbetween for much smoother animations, i think u shoudl use pivot 5

Thanks for the tip
dat what i do

that speech effect really helpled a lot thx

Thanks for the advices man.
thanks for helping me
nice bro u got my sub
Nice thanks for advices
You have discord
My favourite fps (frames per second) is 20 - 24
I agree with everything except the walking part. You did it wrong sadly, you have to do it correctly
Now with the in-betweening it's easy and might even be easier to make a high fps animation
The in-between is basically adding an extra frame in between 2 frames, so it does make it smoother but slower.
for me when i do walk or run one leg stays at the same place like real life
Hey man this will be very helpful video for beginers.
for the gun tho, make sure the stock is against the shoulder and the back is arched to make the stick figure look like it's aiming
it may be more smooth, but when u make ur animation walk its not like how humans do it, humans will have thier feet planted in one place, not slide along (btw its number 2)
last tip was tthe best for me
i think 15 fps is best for beginners, 18 is for advanced with best flexibility to time ratio
Me, using 24 since my first animation
Bro it was Soo rare to get a good animation 😢

ik this is old but when you do your anims with 30 fps do you double frame or just use multiple frames with slow movement to make it smooth

NICE im tryna learn how to animate can you tell me how you get the weapons

the thing is when you put pivot on high quality it goes fast and its like a 30 sec vid
how do u make the figure on the floor without making mistakes without puting it down or up
Please make a video to teach stykz users on pivot
Question, how'd you move it in a perfect straight line?

Hi
Hello there from 2023
5:31 that is sus
apart from the first step everything is soooooooooooooo wrong, well i gues its not wrong but the way you do it is
yeh the walking animation was sliding, instead of having the feet stay in place until lifted from the ground like real walking
I’m watching this in 2023

@@pivotworkseg2880 probably the stk file you've used in this video
A person should not slide 😐
I have 3 fps
I'm not gonna lie to you you're tutorial is just making animators worse at animating, it's not helpful at all for new unexperienced animators...
thank you so much
