It is amazing to me that in my 66th year of life I have finally discovered you and your bassoon world. Your enthusiasm and joi de de vivre which you are demonstrating to me in your video performances on utube are truly remarkable and inspiring to me. I sincerely hope that our paths will cross some day in this lifetime.
This iss for sure a favorite concerto by CPE Bach since it has e beeen adapted for many instruments. I think that the original was for keyboard. Only the melodic line was kept for wind indstruments adaptation, but I am not so sure of that. .
Yes, you are right. It was a flute concerto originally; one of my favourites. Ever so difficult. I noticed that the bassoon part is slightly different from that of the flute.
This concerto also exists as a later version for harpsichord (probably dating from the Hamburg years), which is where the orchestral scoring with the two French horns comes from. Most likely this is just a modern adaptation of the harpsichord concerto.
Que belleza ¡¡¡ C.P.E. Bach , un genio...........por sí mismo , divino .
grande Sergio !!! fantastico 😊👍

It's a beautiful baroque piece.
It makes up a great performance of lively melodies!
Amazing piece, masterfully rendered by solist and orch. Why is this virtually unknown?
This guy Azzolini is terrific - and CPE ain't bad either!
Merci pour partager ça !
Better than original version

The original was for flute, I think
Where can I buy music sheet for this?
It seems that this concerto was written for flute ... (not for bassoon)
But it does sound good on bassoon ... :)
