- All the story cutscenes from the multiplayer mode of Assassin's Creed: Revelations. The multiplayer story is told through the eyes of Juhani Otso Berg, a Finnish templar agent. The multiplayer takes place in Rome during year 2012.
Assassin's Creed belongs to Ubisoft.
He initially joined the Templar Order after they promised they could save his dying infant daughter. But through steady conditioning with the Animus, they slowly brainwashed him into a loyal member.
Sounds familiar, Shay...
@@SavageSquishy86 Shay made his own luck. Assassins were making soldiers so Shay went rogue to stop assassins foolishness by joining the templars of his own accord
Edited: even Achilles admitted he made a mistake at end of the game
@@danwarner7816 Quite. The same excuse couldn't be applied to Berg. It was obvious he was 'enjoying' the job too much as well and that made him careless. His death at Layla's hands was deserved.
@@cyberjordan1 agreed
@@cyberjordan1 he is not Dead.
It is confirmed Otso Berg managed to escape the Assassins following the events of AC Odyssey. He was sent to Tokyo and used the Templars' research on the Staff of Eden and his knowledge of the Staff of Hermes to regain the use of his legs. He now still runs Sigma Team in hunting the Assassins.
All this time, I still didn't know this was Otso Berg.
It was never stated in the game. It was only later revealed in the Assassin's Creed: Initiates website that the multiplayer of Revelations is played from Otso Berg's perspective.
@@Crazybone92 Where can I find it saying that and what should I look for? is it in a file? if so which one?
Nor me. Hard to believe someone so gifted and competent fell so far and was killed by an Assassin novice in Odyssey!
Actually, he is not dead
I just get this now
Killing Vidic was one of the best Assassinations i've had in AC.
So true. I hated him since the first game. It felt so damn good when he begs for mercy and then you just force one of his own bodyguards to kill him. Tbh, AC III also had the best modern day segments in the whole series. I wish they would do something like that again in future games.
@@Crazybone92 we hope . They will get Elijah miles maybe . What do you think sir ?
@@siddharthsudhakar9135 Perhaps. But it won't be happening soon. Layla Hassan will return in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

I kind of wished we’d gotten a game where Berg was the Black Cross going after the Juno fanatics. Would’ve been interesting.
I just want to know what happened to Berg after Odyssey. He seems to be alive as in Valhalla there is a computer file named "Otso Berg interrogation" and it is dated to 2019. Sadly the file is innaccessible. He might be paralyzed now, considering what Layla did to him

@@Crazybone92 he is freed now and back with the Templars, a believe he is now healed and able to walk again as well, found out on the AC wiki.
@@brilicusgaming6922 Yes I know. It was revealed in an AC Board game or something. He was paralyzed after the encounter with Layla but in 2020 or 2021 he regained the use of his legs using experimental Abstergo technology. However, I doubt we will see him in the games again. I think Ubi wanted to remove him from the games because they couldn't figure out what to do with him, so they just wrote him out but without killing him

He may be either reincarnated Francesco de Pazzi or Cesare Borgia.
It's Otso Berg... And Otso definitely isn't a reincarnation of either of them.
I’m just pretending because Otso Berg was voiced by Andreas Apergis who also voiced Francesco de Pazzi and Cesare Borgia.
For his sake, I hope not.
back when Ubisoft made good games
Did someone else do Berg's voice in Odyssey?
Did you have to have certain requirements to unlock all of those videos? Or all of them were available right from the get-go? Also, that's all there is Lore-wise on the multiplayer?
You unlock them through levels. You have to reach level 50 to unlock them all. In terms of lore, you can also unlock "Abstergo Dossiers". They are text files which give you more information about the history of Assassins, Templars, Abstergo and The Precursors/Isu.

i would like to know how Otso got rid of his finnish accent.
Well it was stated in Syndicate that he lived most of his childhood abroad and kind of forgot the Finnish language there. When he returned to Finland as a young adult and joined the army, everyone made fun of his accent. But I think this explanation for it is bad. Just a poor excuse for the fact that they didn't bother to hire an actual Finnish voice actor.
He was formerly part of the Finish version of the Navy SEALS - people like them get trained to learn and adopt not just languages, but also mannerisms and accents. Plus, spending time around the Americans also helped him.

What is that AC Game?
Assassin's Creed Revelations. The multiplayer mode of it to be precise. But I'm not sure if it's playable anymore because they shut down multiplayer servers for several older games last year.
name of the game ?
Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Or more precisely, the multiplayer mode of it.
So is he related to shay in anyway?
No, as far as my memory goes, but he does related to a viking... maybe this is where the new game is heading in to.
@@032_m.alfathcirrus5 He does own the broach that Shay owned in Rogue. The broach almost looks like Yggdrassil. And as we know many Irish people have 'Viking' ancestors. So the Lindisfarne ancestor of Otso could also be the ancestor of Shay, the only thing that doesn't make much sense is why Shays descendants returned to Scandinavia if Otso is related to him.
assets1.ignimgs.com/2014/10/13/shay-cormac-1280jpg-800677_1280w.jpg - you can see the broach on Shays belt that looks like Yggdrassil.
66.media.tumblr.com/b694d91437dd17d2720597a7b9e51ffb/tumblr_nv278iIzdS1r6tmsdo1_500.png - you can see the 'Yggdrassil' broach on his left lapel.
Edit: Here's Shays assassin outfit with the broach as well, just to show it's not just part of his Templar garb and it does belong to Shay and obviously holds some value to him (on his belt again) - vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/assassinscreed/images/7/71/ACRG_Assassin_outfit.png/revision/latest?cb=20150513131055
So if this is a family heirloom passed down, you could probably trace it back to Viking settlers in Ireland, because who else other than Vikings would have an ornamental depiction of Yggdrassil? And it's no coincidence Otso has the same broach.
Yggdrassil being the world tree in Norse mythology, so if it is then it could be hinting at Shays Viking ancestry. I'm not saying Shay knows of or worships Norse deities, it's just if it was a family heirloom he could just wear it for sentiment rather than to show he follows the Norse religion. He also talks about how faring the sea is in his blood, the same way Connor did in TOKW because of his ancestry with Edward, and what were the Vikings if not seafarers? Although we do know Shays immediate family worked aboard ships.
@@jameslove1162
You know, you might be right with that theory... we'll see how this plays out in the new title.
@@jameslove1162 I kind of thought the broach was depicting the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, which would be *incredibly* symbolic for Shay, Otso, and the whole story of Rogue.
Shay's whole story is about him wrestling with what he knows to be good and evil. At first, he's gladly loyal to the Assassins, but as he starts cutting down decrepit old men who have been branded as the enemy by his friends, he starts slipping, then after he tampers with the "Tree" in Lisbon, he snaps, and turns on his brothers, deeming them to be wrong.
Otso is loyal and grateful to the Order for "opening his eyes" and all that, and believes that he now knows how the world truly works. He believes that he knows the true nature of good and evil, thanks to the Templars.
Also, Shay compares the Precursor sites in Rogue to trees. He tells Haytham, "We haven't found an Apple, but a tree....they hold together the earth like roots."
Messing with how the "Tree" is the catalyst that drives Shay to change sides, like how Adam and Eve were changed after eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge in the Bible. Shay even remarks that the site is "from a time before Adam and Eve," and he even finds the "Tree" in a church!
