This is why ACR multiplayer is only multiplayer I play because it ties in with the main story. We play as Juhani Otso Berg who captures William Miles from Egypt during AC3 and he takes over from Daniel Cross (guy who shot you with a chip) after he and Vidic gets killed by Desmond in AC3. Plus Juhani is the project leader in AC: Rogue.
I think it was Eddie Kenway who said it best, I'll summarize: "You would have us (humanity) corralled in a neatly furnished prison, safe and sober but dulled beyond reason and sapped of all spirit". For this, in spite of the perks (and I am tempted), my loyalty lies with the Assassins.
In all honesty, if we are to look at both sides I would more likely than not become a Templar. Let me elaborate: The idea of Freedom, as preached by the Assassin Brotherhood, may sound like something good for people, that it may bring peace and all that. However, the way I see it they look for Anarchy, Freedom at all cost with no one and nothing to bind you. In principle, I believe that people require limits and rules to survive because, if nothing is true and everything is permitted, then wars would be waged daily and human nature would make people follow others despite their freedom. I also want to point out one of Altaïr’s ironies of the Creed: “The Assassins seek to open the minds of men, but require obedience to rules.” This, to me, looks like the Assassins are more inclined to the side of the Templars that one may think, that they realize that order is the path to freedom. In a way, I do side with the Assassins, but if we take the most radical views of each side I’d take my side as a Knight Templar.
Well, you better learn how to deal with it because that's the future that awaits you. Living in a small container, sustaining off soy milk and bugs, all while hooked to a VR headset almost constantly
It’s sad that Ubisoft shut down all multiplayer modes for both ACB, ACR, AC3 and AC4, someday fans should revive the multiplayer modes for those games into a private server if that’s possible.
I could get used to that Templar good life...as an Assassin. I honestly believe in liberty with human flaws over subliminal dictatorship. I'm tired right now so I don't have enough energy to state my whole opinion of why I'd join the Assassins over the Templars but please respect that that is my own opinion and I have stuck to it since 2009.
I like this new trend where some games have started adding stories to their multiplayer. It actually give incentive to rank up beyond the "get shiny new gun, get more shiny guns, then prestige and get shiny guns again" carrot-on-a-stick that most games have nowadays. Bioshock 2 did the multiplayer story thing pretty well, and AC:R does it even better.
"Your skill acquisition in the Animus thus far has been superior to that of your colleagues, who, as I speak, continue to struggle down below us." lol those "colleagues" being those who bought brotherhood and had yet to buy revelations. I get it.
I like how they showed templars: AC1 - they remember about their real goal - helping humanity, even if we don't want it. AC2 saga (AC2 ACB ACR) Templars got corrupted and greedy and only care about personal gain. The other men had to keep Templar's goal alive - Savonarola, Ercole Massimo and the first pure templar for a long time - Prince Ahmet. AC3 - the return of pure Templars, hopefully.
well to be fair the final ac game was supposed to be ac3 "the one where warren was killed" as doomsday was "scheduled" to be December 21 2012 and ac3 came out October 30th 2012 so it was pretty ballsy to have an ac game a few months before the "end of the world" and a lot of people didn't think the world couldn't not end on Dec 30 '12 although that doesn't explain why THERE WAS A FUCKING CLIFFHANGER AT THE END OF AC3
The ac story gets more convoluted with every spin off. Ac1 - pieces of Eden, Templars bad, Lucy assassin AC2 - pieces of Eden, Templars bad, Group of assassins ACB - I HAZ TEH APPLE!!&!! , Main enemy in AC2 ( the pope) turns out not to be too bad, Lucy Templar? ACR - I FOUND TEH MOUNTAIN, Templars barely exist, Altair lived to be 1bajillion, Desmond had a troubled childhood, Daniel cross says hi, subject 16 says bye.
Yes, he took over the role after the "Mentor" was assassinated by Daniel Cross, a templar sleeper agent in 2000. Now that the Templar's know William Miles is the leader of the Assassins, these templars you see in the video will be sent to hunt him in AC3 I presume, as part of Desmond's story. Pretty deep. I know.
It seems that way, in Revelations if you play Desmond's Missions you get to learn more about his past, he normally mentions growing up on a farm with his family and how they said they were Assassin's.
I think the person you play as actually symblifies alot of Templar agents. And in ACIII Desmond may have to fight to protect his father, Rebecca and Shaun(whom I wouldn't mind getting himself killed). But we'll have to see cause Desmond will use the Animus 3.0 to live out Connor's story and the American Revolution. I feel Desmond will fight Vidic in the end, after Connor takes care of whats-his-name.
A think this is really Daniel Cross, as in the agent file of the Abstergo you can see the list of the members of the Inner Sanctum of the Templar Order, and his name is there, in other words, he is one of the "few poeple that ever see the room"
for some reason I always had the feeling you'd run into Alan Rikkin. apparently I was wrong (btw the Abstergo mission was probably my favorite in the whole game)
Rikkin was the CEO and Grand Master. Probably too high up to bother with meeting a new Master, or else he was out of country on business. We know he was still alive (he outlived Desmond by 4 years so was definitely alive during the events of AC:R).
@AutumnKnightmare I saw a dev. interview and it said that Desmonds bloodline isn't liner, it's is like a tree. So it is possible 16 is Desmond's cousin through Connor, but it is highly unlikely.
For the "Privilege" cutscene and others that show the agent, I wish that Ubisoft added cutscenes for the female Templar agent other than the default male. Still I have not other huge complaints.
First off, I didn't read the comic so I din't know what Daniel Crosses deal was. Secondly I was like William Miles? In Assassins Creed Initiative contacting Lucy using the name William Miles, so why would they want to kill him. Thirdly, the ending scene directly correlates when William goes to Cairo to retrieve the third power source, clearing up how he was caught by Abstergo.
i haven't even STARTED any multiplayer matches, i've been so focused on the main story and the lost archive, well...i still have a few months to enjoy it before i have to move on to the AC3 multiplayer, better get started
@BangingMash he was in the assassins creed comic the fall let me save you a log story prety much he was the decendant of a russian assassin he was put in the animus when the assassins found him he killed the mentor (the leader of the assassins at the time) and decided to join abstergo
I put together a video series about these games for my channel, and my next episode is on the Multiplayer modes. I'm using this footage for brief clips in it, but you will get full credit and a link provided back to this video in the description as well.
My mistake I ment to say when you aeoving up the ranks as a templar a lot of other people are too. So this man = number of people who play this game (large enough number for an army)
@DJSisawsome Oooh. I think I read something along those lines a while back, like Abstergo did something to him mentally when he was a child or something like that..? Dunno why everyone is like "Oh Desmond vs Daniel!"...clearly Desmond would kick his ass?!
It isn't the end of the series, Alex Hutchinson already said that they were going to make more games. This is the last game with Desmond as the 'protagonist".
That's what I figured AC3 would be about, but I have yet to see ANYTHING related to Desmond. I suppose they are trying to keep it secret, but if that's the case then the whole game must be 30 hours long if we are going to see 20+ years of Conner's life AND have the conclusion to the whole series. I'm still trying to figure out why they have to go back in the animus if they are already at the location to the Grand Temple.
Sounds great then. The action and meaningful story moments better flow continuously. I have felt that the story in each game has dragged on a little bit, especially in Desmond's world. The only exception being the first game.
Oooookaaay I think I see how this ties in with AC3, "you" are either the one or part of the team that captures William in Egypt in AC3 when he goes to fetch the last power source for the Grand Temple. Leading to the events of Desmond [SPOILER WARNING] infiltrating Abstergo to rescue his dad and assassinating Daniel and Vidic in the process. You never see her again though. Or Alan Rikkin, Vidic's other supervisor from AC1.
Guys it's not sub.16 16 is like Desmond,he was kidnaped, the Templar guy u play as in multiplayer is just a Templar agent, but it would be cool if he was a descendant of Al mualum (dramatic music)
interesting. seems AC3 will be in 2 parts as rumoured after seeing this and the news that the final Creed Game wiill be entirely Desmond and the next one is not. If you didnt know at the end of Revelations they are at the Grand Vault. Im guessing they have to travel somewhere after the Vault
Actually ezio had one more ascensor :Aquilus from the roman period: maybe we can see him in ac4 just saying or playing as daniel cross and his russian assassin Nikolai Orelov .
that, kind sir is what will happen in AC 3 when desmond will save the world... i think so. oh and btw, now we can see the training of modern templars, so in ac3 desmond will fight real "assassins" not just militia soldiers :D i cant wait to get my hands on AC3
A cross darkens the horrison in ACB was a reference to Lucy she was a cross (Templar) and she darkened Desmonds future. So don't go reading into that too much. ACR - I FOUND TEH MOUNTAIN, Templars barely exist, Altair lived to be
I'm just disappointed that they didn't wrap up the storyline with Lutitia English. Or the rest of the animii, or the recruits. I really thought Desmond would use the apple to annihilate all the animii and all the information they had on the Pieces of Eden and everything they knew about all of it. Just a complete database crash. And then William could have led Desmond to Lutitia to assassinate her as well. Leaving Alan as the last survivor so they still have an enemy left for the next game.
I like THAT Revelations had these cutscenes, but will this even affect AC:3 in any meaningful way? I doubt it. Considering that we are seeing Desmond less in the AC:3 promotions than in Revelations is probably not a good sign. It makes me think there will be another game. Either that or the game will be 30 hours long compared to the previous games being 15-20 hours.
I hope Daniel Cross and whoever this guy are actual characters involved in Desmond's story and shows up quite a bit in AC3 (If anything, it'll just be Cross). Classic movie plot: Every main protagonist has that one epic, final battle with that one enemy. Now tell me that wouldn't be a badass scene. Cause think about it: They're sending Daniel and this guy to KILL William. Desmond's gonna go Ezio on 'em.
then what would be the point of desmond using the animus vidic could have used it to relive al mualims memorys and find out where the other apples were
I wonder if this guy will try to assassinate Bill in Assassin's Creed 3 (AC3 has been getting alot of buzz in the past week and is set to release on October 30th). Maybe he will succeed and then Desmond will kill him. Or perhaps Desmond will just narrowly save his Dad's life.
You got to admit that Templar have way better retirement plan than Assassin
that we can agree on
After all we engineered it that way
They have all the rich businessmen/financiers on their side.
Just realised they show that ending room in AC Chronicles in the secret ending... that's some nice attention to detail especially by ubisoft nowadays
LazerzZ I CALLED IT I knew you would be the top comment
hahaha classic me
the guy who we playing is Juhani Otso Berg

my favourite quote in the entire game
@@PabloNavarrete5780 i would rather want freedom than control

Can't believe you're taking this shit seriously.
Used to watch Priviledges so many times back in the day. Was so relaxing. All the cozy sound effects throughout the video
I like this new trend where some games have started adding stories to their multiplayer. A shame it fell off after Erudito's video files.
and pretty soon you will never get to access this...
"Your skill acquisition in the Animus thus far has been superior to that of your colleagues, who, as I speak, continue to struggle down below us."
lol those "colleagues" being those who bought brotherhood and had yet to buy revelations. I get it.

I was COMPLETELY fine with the Templar life until they put a tracker in my body!!!!!!!
It goes to show you that the Templars don't trust you as having free will of your own
They shouldn't have killed warren vidic, he brought a special feel to abstergo, shouldve planned to kill him in the final assassins creed.
Too bad the franchise ended up dying too. This theme was abandoned long ago
well to be fair the final ac game was supposed to be ac3 "the one where warren was killed" as doomsday was "scheduled" to be December 21 2012 and ac3 came out October 30th 2012 so it was pretty ballsy to have an ac game a few months before the "end of the world" and a lot of people didn't think the world couldn't not end on Dec 30 '12 although that doesn't explain why THERE WAS A FUCKING CLIFFHANGER AT THE END OF AC3
AC1 takes place during the Third Crusade in 1191. Not at the founding of the Templar order in 1119.
The ac story gets more convoluted with every spin off.
Ac1 - pieces of Eden, Templars bad, Lucy assassin
AC2 - pieces of Eden, Templars bad, Group of assassins

Correct.

Daniel? As in Daniel Cross? From the comic? A really easy and smart way to get people to play the mulitplayer. Definitely playing it in AC III!
Altair's master that goes corrupt after he held the apple of eden
dang these cutscenes remind me of the desmond miles story mode where he sees a office
are those cutscenes in the ezio trilogy for ps4? because there is no multiplayer
No it is in ac revelations only
Daniel's story just makes me want to bawl.
for some reason I always had the feeling you'd run into Alan Rikkin. apparently I was wrong (btw the Abstergo mission was probably my favorite in the whole game)

He's the de facto leader atm, since they're a little off and their mentor was killed. But that was William Miles, Desmond's dad.
After playing AC III This makes a lot more sense
the life of a templar is worth it
Daniel, Daniel Cross aka the man who killed "The Mentor", the leader of the Assassin Order before William Miles took over. The plot thickens!
For the "Privilege" cutscene and others that show the agent, I wish that Ubisoft added cutscenes for the female Templar agent other than the default male. Still I have not other huge complaints.
Oh Vidic the new HD graphics make you more likeable.
@Tamarrack nope in singleplayer you play as desmond an assassin. in multiplayer you play as a trainee templar

This now explains why Desmond's Father was there at the end of Revelations
I put together a video series about these games for my channel, and my next episode is on the Multiplayer modes. I'm using this footage for brief clips in it, but you will get full credit and a link provided back to this video in the description as well.
Developers announced that the game will be about 30hrs, and im pretty sure this will be the last AC game with Desmond involve but i could be wrong.
My mistake I ment to say when you aeoving up the ranks as a templar a lot of other people are too. So this man = number of people who play this game (large enough number for an army)
@DJSisawsome That's why the next AC will be awesome though. Should entirely be about Desmond apparently. Can't friggin wait!
He may be a Templar, but we don't know if he's loyal, or just an Assassin agent playing that part.
@DJSisawsome Oooh. I think I read something along those lines a while back, like Abstergo did something to him mentally when he was a child or something like that..? Dunno why everyone is like "Oh Desmond vs Daniel!"...clearly Desmond would kick his ass?!
Lol, I get the rank of "Master" when I basically get a collar placed on me? Great.
That "master templar" is going to be owned by Desmond and Daniel will finally be punish for his betrayal. Can´t wait for ACIII
Its basically saying in the next game templars will try to capture William Miles.
It isn't the end of the series, Alex Hutchinson already said that they were going to make more games. This is the last game with Desmond as the 'protagonist".
Well now I know how the beginning of Assassin's Creed 3 will start. They enter the chamber only to come outside to a bunch of Templars! CANT WAIT
Yes, and I hope that he becomes the new protagonist in AC4 or the main villain (besides Juno).
no, he sees Abstergo as the only family he has in the world. Poor guy, his story in the AC comics is really depressing
Even the fucking Multiplayer storyline has a cliffhanger, goddamnit.
@jjmp123 no, this is the other side of the story taking place in revelations... the templars side
THE guy who hit you with shot daniel i think thats the guy who killed the assassin leader in the year 2000
it would be awesome if your multiplayer character is secretly an assassin infiltrating the Templar Order just as daniel cross did with the assassins
There IS a great resemblance... HOLY F*** THAT WOULD BE BRILLIANT!
First video that has that many views and no dislikes :)
Guys it's not sub.16 16 is like Desmond,he was kidnaped, the Templar guy u play as in multiplayer is just a Templar agent, but it would be cool if he was a descendant of Al mualum (dramatic music)
@BangingMash probably because unless we got out of the animus every memory we get little character development from Desmond
William Miles (the Assassin leader) is Desmond's dad! We see him at the end of ACR!
William Miles is played by John de Lancie (which I'm sure any fan of his can hear). That's your fun-fact for this video.
interesting. seems AC3 will be in 2 parts as rumoured after seeing this and the news that the final Creed Game wiill be entirely Desmond and the next one is not. If you didnt know at the end of Revelations they are at the Grand Vault. Im guessing they have to travel somewhere after the Vault
@bnbnnb1 I think their talking about the Templar Cross, but good catch
Templars send their agents after William Miles.
They don't come back.
Desmond has killed every last one of them before they can touch William.
Actually ezio had one more ascensor :Aquilus from the roman period: maybe we can see him in ac4 just saying or playing as daniel cross and his russian assassin Nikolai Orelov .
Laetitia is in AC IV too
Thnx for making this video!
william miles is desmond dad probably once you enter the farm or village were you left off ac revelation
he is not templar, he is assassin who allied himself with the templars then betrayed them
that, kind sir is what will happen in AC 3 when desmond will save the world... i think so. oh and btw, now we can see the training of modern templars, so in ac3 desmond will fight real "assassins" not just militia soldiers :D i cant wait to get my hands on AC3
@kurzor0007 Well daniel was not the guy send out to kill william. Daniel was the one giving the main character the injection thingy...
Oh God that would be a fight for the ages!
William is Desmonds father. In ac3 you might meet this guy who is ordered to kill him.
by Daniel do they mean Daniel Cross from the comic book responsible for the great purge
A cross darkens the horrison in ACB was a reference to Lucy she was a cross (Templar) and she darkened Desmonds future. So don't go reading into that too much.
The ac story gets more convoluted with every spin off.
Ac1 - pieces of Eden, Templars bad, Lucy assassin
AC2 - pieces of Eden, Templars bad, Group of assassins
ACB - I HAZ TEH APPLE!!&!! , Main enemy in AC2 ( the pope) turns out not to be too bad, Lucy Templar?
ACR - I FOUND TEH MOUNTAIN, Templars barely exist, Altair lived to be
doubt it ubisoft said that ac3 will be the final game for desmond so maybe in ac4 we play as the character in acr multiplayer
so do you get to play as the villains in the last game as well
Q was the voice of his father
@IronHeadMaiden That's so what I thought when they said Daniel!
Actually, Desmond's story is set to end in AC 3.
Oh... so this is what assasins creed the next one is going to be about
I like THAT Revelations had these cutscenes, but will this even affect AC:3 in any meaningful way? I doubt it. Considering that we are seeing Desmond less in the AC:3 promotions than in Revelations is probably not a good sign. It makes me think there will be another game. then what would be the point of desmond using the animus vidic could have used it to relive al mualims memorys and find out where the other apples were
Wow i hope you get to protect Desmond's father in ACIII story mode! :D
I honestly hope Daniel Cross doesn't die in AC3, I was still hoping to play as him and his ancestors in the next Assassin's creed :P
This aged like fine milk
I wonder if this guy will try to assassinate Bill in Assassin's Creed 3 (AC3 has been getting alot of buzz in the past week and is set to release on October 30th). Maybe he will succeed and then Desmond will kill him. Or perhaps Desmond will just narrowly save his Dad's life.
Man, that Templar agent is sooo screwed.
I don't know what'll happen in AC3, but I know it'll be big with a capital B.
You know the werid thing is who ever this recruit we're playing as we're going to end up killing him in the end in the Single Story.
So there I was, about to go into a multiplayer game, and that second cutscene comes up and freezes my xbox wtf!
@bnbnnb1 or they could just mean the cross in which the templars wear...who knows
i dont think shes the leader of the templar order
