Follow up video of me installing the UPVC window this is just a quick video of me showing you how to fit a glass unit into a window. Woodland windows and construction
Interesting video thanks, so air and noise can get through the drain hole, pass under the glass to the only thing stopping it, the internal bead. Bit rubbish.
Hi Shane Trying to fit rehau window 706 beads on casement window. Your videos look so easy Told to spray glass before because dry gaskets. Still won't engage properly. Very frustrated is it the beads or me! Any help greatly appreciated. Ian.
Hi Shane. I need to remove aluminium double glazed windows to replace with UPVC frames and glass if you end up doing this could you video it too? I’m not even sure what’s the best way to measure up for the replacements
Good video....But would be good to know what those screws are called and how long they need to be...And when you put the sill on did you say you put silicone in before you screwed it to the frame?
Could you put expaning foam around the window first to hold it firm before putting the screws in? The reason I ask is that I've removed the old frame from an outside garage window and it didn't have a lental and so the bricks above have moved, they haven't fell but I'm thinking if I drill first it might upset them and cause a problem but if I firm the window as much as possible with foam it's less likely to happen. Thanks
Some fitters may do but unless there opening windows or doors it's not necessary the main object is to lift the glass so any water penetrator can flow freely to the drainage channel
Question ,,if a frame is e,g, 1000 mm x 1000 mm ,,whar size of pane do you order ,,995 x 995 or 990 x 990 ? What gap should you have ? Hope this makes sense, im a DIYr only 👍
I’ve just had a window fitted. Everything as you say however, they’ve siliconed external beading in place which you don’t mention? Is what’ve done correct? Thanks.
I've just had my glass changed due to this happening, the window company said its because there's a leak in the seal, if air / moisture get in then its no longer double glazed, it's just two panes of glass serving very little use

Two excellent videos. Thank you!
Two great videos. Well explained.
Great videos and it looks straight forward when you do it!
Thank you. That was very helpful👍
Really clear and helpful. Thank you!
Good video - very useful

Hello mate, why did you put the packer at the top? would that not create two fixed points and stop expansion?
Do you ever do tilt and turns mate I’ve been having a nightmare with mine
Hi Shane that`s a very informative video , one question however do you need to pack/spacer at the side of the glass as well ?
Some fitters may do but unless there opening windows or doors it's not necessary the main object is to lift the glass so any water penetrator can flow freely to the drainage channel
Nice

Watch his other video which shows you how to measure.
Take 3 measurements for the width, 3 for the height across 3 different points. Then subtract 10mm from the smallest measurement for height and width.
Do you only fix the frame at the sides? My large window frame has movement at the top in the middle
... what size packers are standard to fit most windows ...
Hi, what sealant do you use around the perimeter?
Where can I find the glasses please? Thank you
Hello Shane I need to fit an extractor on my bathroom Bible glazed window is it possible to do this
You didn't put much seal glue around the window. What happens if moisture gets through the gaps

UPVC windows no longer have external beading.
Thank you
I’ve replaced double glazed units but am finding condensation on the inside of the window. Have you any pointers to help solve this.

New sealed units if that's happening the unit as failed
Hi
Jobs
What if both glass frames are smashed. Is it the same process with 2 window frames ?

You can do either to be honest, I wouldn't worry. I'm assuming it's the trim pieces next to the wall. If so its fine
