When the band first started, the lead singer Andy smoked a lottt and his voice was deep and raspy when he sang. But since he's recently quit smoking, and also practiced singing more, his vocal range has improved and his voice is a lot more clear sounding.
Part of his voice change is just him getting older and becoming a more experienced singer - I think him quitting smoking is a smaller part of his vocal changes
I would recommend to check out The Legacy and Perfect Weapon! Saints Of The Blood together with The Vengeance is a new EP called The Night - they’re not planning a new album, but instead they’re going to release a series of two song duologies, in order to give them more time to tour while still releasing new music.
The best thing about this in my opinion is that they returned with their old school sound, with great riffs, fats pace songs and sick solos but now Andy has a much better voice. I really enjoyed his more deep and raspy vocals but it's really nice to see how he improved his vocal techniques

So apparently what they're gonna do is release two songs at a time for next year and a half. I don't know about the frequency but I guess we'll see. It won't be one album with like 12 songs on it though.
Nice review. I remember that whole fiasco when BVB couldn't get into Canada. I hope you get to see them sometime in the future. I think you'd enjoy BVB Throw The First Stone, Faithless, We Don't Belong Here, Coffin, New Year's Day. Oh they did an awesome cover of Billy Idol's Rebel Year years back.

Like the pre bridge section. “Woah woah woah.. we are the saints of the blood”. You could turn majority of there songs into pop songs, but give it a metal core structure and you have black veil brides. It’s as if someone tried a pop sound but used whiskey and smoke to grit his voice out to get that metal sounding vocal quicker!! Kinda F’s the vocal chords up but it works!!
His voice has always sounded the same im studio but yes live he used to have a crap voice vut his screams used 2 be worst then his voice now its all balanced out in my opinion
