sorry to burst your bubble, but electric vehicles literally all burn more fuel than gas or diesel vehicles for the same distance travelled. between 20 and 40% efficiency for internal combustion, and around 20% AT BEST for EVs. Electric vehicles are a scam propped up by governments.

Yeah, interesting. I imagine you would need a hauler interested in taking care of their equipment.

    Will work if it's affordable.

There is no mention of the weight of the batteries and drive motors, which subtract from payload on a 1 to 1 basis.

Depends, these are rumored to qualify under the 2,000# added ev weight allowance, even if setup behind a diesel tractor. So it might be a LOT less than people like you are trying to claim. Oh yeah and well over 65% of ALL freight hauls are cubed out and not gross weight maxed. 😀👍🏻

@@4literv6 To qualify for the added weight allowance, the vehicle must be "powered *primarily* by means of electric battery power". Even the 288 kWh version can probably only add 115 or so miles to the range of a diesel semi, which typically has a range of 1,000 miles or more; so it seems unlikely the rumor is correct.
Your point that most hauls are cubed out also means that BEV trucks can increase their range simply by towing lighter loads. For example, a Tesla Semi can add a similar 115 miles of range just by reducing the payload to around 20,000 lbs.; and get the dramatic reduction in fuel/energy cost of a BEV for the entire range, and not just the range that's run on batteries.
It may well turn out that there's a niche where the required combination of payload and range can only be met with this trailer, and which isn't particularly sensitive to operating costs. It'll be interesting to watch this offering to see if it gains any traction.

@@BigBen621 electric semis are worse than diesel semis. Full stop. There is no competition or argument. And nobody should be forcing them on us either.

Well, that's certainly a well-reasoned and factual claim. Thank you for sharing.

      Nobody is.
