- I had great luck today, despite some early glitches, and caught both Marine 80 and Rescue 1 plus a handful of other units! For some reason Pulse Point didn't notify me about this one, and Twitter was over ten minutes late, so I missed most of the responding units.
Despite that, I was still able to catch Marine 80, which is a super rare unit! I've only seen them once before and it was a distant view, so this was way better. I also got Rescue 1, which is always a joy to see.
This call was for an electrical fire onboard a docked sailboat, which was quickly knocked down. Marine 1, which usually responds to boat emergencies, must have been out of service today.
I haven't gotten a new camera yet, and I don't fully trust my current camera, so a few of these clips were filmed on both my camera and my phone.
Clip listing:
0:00 - Ladder 5 arriving
0:07 - Medic 17 arriving, while Engines 17 and 31 reposition
0:39 Safety 2 and Deputy 1 responding
1:00 - Rescue 1 responding
1:16 - Engine 36 and Staff 10 responding
1:33 - Marine 80 responding
2:15 - SFD units on scene
2:38 - Port of Seattle police on scene
2:54 - SFD and Port of Seattle on scene
3:21 - Outro

Love this!👍 They are mostly rarest trucks in the Seattle Fire Department, i really like them!
Thank you! Yeah, this was definitely a rare catch I was excited to get!
Ooh nice big score! You know it's a good, rare one when catching Rescue 1 becomes a nice "bonus" instead of being the main attraction!
And actually, I was in Seattle not that long ago with a couple other buffs. But we were only there for less than a day, so we didn't reach out to any local buffs (sorry). Still itching for another trip down south so I'll let you know when those plans become more concrete!
Thanks! It's true - it's not very often that Rescue 1 takes second billing.
No worries about not meeting up - travel can be complicated enough without trying to wrangle the schedules of even more people. Did you get some good footage while you were down here?
@@lucaslaughing Aha yes it was indeed a pretty complicated trip, with the number of places we wanted to visit in such a short amount of time. We lucked out at Station 32 and later in the night, Station 10, but ran out of luck at the other locations we tried including Bellevue. Alas, it gives us another reason to visit again ;)
I had a feeling you were going to be there. I was riding the bus for fun and realized I was going to go right by there. I was going to come say hi and try to find you but it was over when I was close enough
Yeah, it wrapped up kind of quickly in the end - next time!
Awesome catches Lucas, love the look of Marine 80. That's definitely a rare one, nice work!
Thank you Liam! Yeah, I was super stoked that I got this one - definitely a throw-back look.
Awesome! I got a bunch of views of Marine 80 on traffic camera. I figured that call would be in your area!
Nice - I'm glad you were able to get Marine 80 on the cams! I got them at 15th and Market, and called that good enough for a future Quick Clips 😀
Hey look you are the first to get the New Engine 16's Rig !
that's rare for Marine 80 to be out & Responding and i'll ask around why Marine 1 not in Serviced
also Cool as always :)
Yeah, I was super excited when I saw Marine 80 coming down the road! Thanks for watching Pete - happy 4th of July!
Great catches, When was the last time Marine 80 was out?
Thank you! I spotted them on traffic camera about a month ago, heading to help with that boat fire in Tacoma. The last (and only other) time I saw them in person was in 2018!
Nice video
Thank you!
Harbor 2 with the tres 350's--strong. SFD must hate 36, their rig is ancient.
Yeah, that looked like a fast boat for sure! It does seem weird the 36 has such an old rig, since they have to travel all over the city...
Quite the cool variety of rigs. Any
Idea what’s carried on Marine 80?
Thanks Jeff! I know Marine 80/Marine 1 carry dewatering equipment, as well as other gear for ship-board firefighting, but I'm afraid I don't know too many specifics.
@@lucaslaughing appreciate the offer info Lucas!
Nice catches! Always cool to see the rare/obscure apparatus!
Thank you! I agree, the rare ones are always exciting to get.
Nice!
Thanks Remi!
@ 3:06, is that a battalion chief’s vehicle in front of E-9?
Yep, that was Battalion 4 - they look different with all the doors open. Here's a photo from a different scene with a better look at the rig with the doors up: flic.kr/p/2iTiaLe
Don't you have scanner or phone app on for Seattle buddy
Lol, I have some online apps that I use, but I usually just rely on PulsePoint since it rarely lets me down!
