It depends on the book. I don’t mind getting them from the dollar bin if they’re old. There are some really valuable ones out there. Thanks for watching.
Weird War Tales 89 is more a $12 book but it wouldn't surprise me to see stores trying to sell it for $70 because of the swastika. Batman 205 cover was by Irv Novick. Who's Who cover is classic George Perez. I think it's ridiculous and stupid that people are selling Crystar 8 for obscene amounts of money because Danzig used the skull on the cover and put it on a shirt that he performed in. It's a $2 book. C'mon.
In the end, there are no rules on what makes a book valuable. The Danzig skull theft is what makes the book desirable. If people are paying 40 for it, then it’s basically a 40 dollar book. Also a book like that will bring in non comic book collectors who will pay a premium cause of the Danzig connection.
