Women in project management virtual event

Statistics show that only 30% of Project Managers and 20% of IT professionals are women.
Several reasons explain this gap, however much to do with stereotypes associating IT industry workers and leaders with masculine traits.
However, recent studies show that skills and traits considered feminine, such as empathy, listening, collaboration, relationship focus, caring and servant leadership, are the ones that most motivate collaborators, especially in times of crisis.
Awareness of the existing gap and the benefits women leaders provide in projects helps promote diversity in organisations, projects and the information technology industry.
