    it's not useless in games like Squad & Post Scriptum, because people actually wait to be revived instead of insta re-deploying. If they increased the redeploy time for giving up bet you medics would all of a sudden become pretty viable.

    • @TwinCityShredder
      @TwinCityShredder  11 месяцев назад

      There needs to be incentive not to redeploy, as punishing a player is not engaging gameplay. If you didn't get your ammo back when redeploying, it would be more engaging, and require players to be conscious about dropping ammo/supplies. Then redeploying wouldn't be worth it in most cases.
      Squad and PS both have a ticket system, which adds value to waiting for a medic. HLL with tickets might work on the new skirmish mode, but would be terrible overall.

    I appreciate that you explain the importance to the medic role that is more then just reviving fallen mates. My main is medic, and watching people give up as I run to them is infuriating, when I know the impact it has on the overall gain. Well said. Thanks for video.

    I enjoy playing medic mostly because I enjoy shouting out to people saying 'I am on way' 'hold on a little long' 'Noooooooooooooo' I make it my own fun :P
    which does get people talking on the comms.

    • @TwinCityShredder
      @TwinCityShredder  11 месяцев назад

      I think it's Battlebit that rewards a player by shouting out, and then reviving. This could be implemented in HLL, with just a button press.
      I have definitely watched Medics run 100m to revive me, which is always good, but when I redeploy, I have to factor in spawn points and how much ammo I have.
      The role playing aspect seems to be best as Medic. I always appreciate those who play Medic, as I've played it and it's frustrating when your mid revive or healing someone and 2 more people right next to you redeploy.
      I swear some players have turned the volume off on all comms.

    The medical class is very much needed. There’s been a heap full of times where my team was losing strategic points on the map and I coordinated with other medics to get some bodies back in the fight and it definitely helped especially when we’re fighting on two different points trying to not get pushed further back. However, lack of ammo is definitely an issue.

    They need to give medics a level up class with mp40s, or something. Maybe mp28 or 34/35, just something else. And maybe an artillery luger class. Idk. Give it some flavor for petes sake. They need to be less lazy.

      Couldn't agree more.

    Raising the damage of the M1 Carbine, adding another magazine and an extra smoke grenade would significantly increase the effectiveness of the Medic. The Carbine feels so painfully inconsistent as opposed to the German/British/Soviet bolt actions (but I understand it should as it is a much smaller caliber and semi-auto). Also, so few people realize the anti-suppression effects of Medic; playing up on your teammates/points is so helpful when being fired at. This video was great; I never knew how the points/tickets worked!

    • @TwinCityShredder
      @TwinCityShredder  11 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks bud. I agree the carbine is like a pellet gun. It used to be a 1 hit kill back in the day. So more people played medic back then.
      I wonder if the suppression effect is still lower since the suppression change in U10 or U11.
      Medic needs a buff. But in a fun and rewarding way.
      More ammo would help a ton. Faster run speed would be awesome too.
      If they implement dragging, it could increase the success.
      Surly T17 has looked at some options. I hope.

  • @timndel
    @timndel 11 месяцев назад +3

    The lack of ammo storage is what hurts the most. And the only good medic load out is the second load out that can drop bandages, however, the medic then loses it’s main armament, which is quite ridiculous on the battlefield.

    • @TwinCityShredder
      @TwinCityShredder  11 месяцев назад +1

      The ammo is definitely an issue. The handgun loadout is more useful with bandages. Medic rework would be a welcomed adjustment.

      At a minimum, giving server admins the ability to modify existing maps.
      Some people are so good at level design, if they just had the pieces.

      They offered their services, and discord admin, put them in contact with someone at T17.
