This is gorgeous. Accompaniment and singing. I’m an enormous fan of Quilter. I wish his music was more mainstream.

I did this song cycle for my Senior Recital at FSU in 2006. I loved it back then. I still love it now.

The choir I used to be in sung the movement ‘to daisies’ (I think there are very very slight differences in the choral version) but oh my lord, what a delight. I am not a fan of overly ‘romantic’ music but this is just restrained and flowing in all the right ways. Stunning 🧡

Beautiful art-songs of real Love...."Julia's Hair" "Cherry Ripe." I still remember those Feelings! (Even though they occurred during the second Rutherford B. Hayes administration.) BRAVO from San Agustinillo!

Exquisite songs. The performance is so deeply felt and idiomatic that one quickly forgets the sound quality. Incidentally , Roger Quilter lived in Brunswick Square / Brighton.
I had compositon lessons in the same square with another British composer :Michael Finnissy (b.1946j

I wouldn't mind whether a tenor, baritone or bass sang these songs, just so long as the sheet music matched the performance.
