It was an informative video! I have to try if setups that use Art of Phoenix D1+2 fit into my playstyle. I rarely use that move, because it's so slow to come out, even though it is safe on block. I just launch with UB3 from AoP, because it's faster. That is -17 on block though, AoPD1+2 won't have that weakness. The Butterfly into the AoPD1+2 is actually a nice trick, the enemy could interpret it for a low and then it will be already too late for them to start stand blocking from crouch when you throw out the mid. Also thank you for the shoutout, sending virtual hugs there! (*^▽^)/
Thanks for these insights from an 42 old guy now at Bushin rank only but playing Xiaoyu since T3. I don t have much time to practice and I like your way of explaining stuff. Maybe thanks to you I may hit Tekken King once. Thank you young man. Count me in your subsribers😉
@@SilantroTekken i finally made it !!! 235k Tekken powerness points and tekken king now. I am so happy to have made it till this rank. Thanks for your content, especially on defense.🤴
Its all about proper conditioning. If you manage to abuse any lows whether its a launcher or regular poke, you can easily tell they will always expect those moves will come then you can now bait them with your mid attacks. ☺️
I feel exactly like that about Hyp 2. Everyone has already been conditioned to duck. Even after I’ve hit like 4 hyp 2 in a row they STILL duck afraid of the low. I have to condition them NOT to duck and then just when they think it’s safe…
See? =))) Glad I am not the only one that thinks EVERYONE thinks EVERY Xiaoyu player will do HYP 3 haha Although, with mirror matches, it's kinda different coz for some reason...you feel what the other player will do (HYP 2 OR HYP 3)
Hey! Thank you for this video! This will be def helpful again to condition opponents. If you notice my match with howarang, what I have noticed with high rank players, they are frantically ducking or busy fuzzy ducking after the RDS heat move, and atleast 70% of the time I get away with the Thunder Strike. Lower ranks start their stings right after it and it gets countered. This would be a good move to suggest? I wait for the player to make the wake up move to hit the button. But I have had a higher success rate than the hyp2/3.
I am not really a Thunder Strike user but with the matches that I saw...I think you need to learn how to use Thunder strike using just a vanilla HYP instead of doing it with RDS Heat Smash
Question: is there any consider safe/guarantee move against people near wall? i felt sometime my combo get disconnected when my target slide around the wall like they side step in air. i am not sure what's the condition that will cause it as it doesn't seem to be consistent and i am not sure is it a bug or some kind of in game mechanic causing it. i have seen some of your video regarding heat f2,1,2 where limit wall hit to 4. it do seem help my situation a bit. i wonder is there any other hidden mechanic like that i am not aware of. many thanks
in one of your previous videos you talked about "dancing"; i'm struggling quite a lot with it ngl. Whenever i try it i feel clumsy and i'm not sure how to do it properly and a lot of times i get punished for trying to do it. do you have any tips for that?
Hello, I'm a Steve and Shaheen player who has finally found his happiness in the character of Xiaoyu. The character allows so much expression and not only to be stuck in an eternal gameplay. I have a question, playing Steve and Shaheen made me understand the crucial importance of while standing moves. I was wondering why nobody uses Xiaoyu's iws2 as a natural poke move? Eu like using it as a second df1. Or also I saw a video of Mr Croft showing how to do it from behind, why not add the option to the Rain Dance game? That would give us a new Middle 14 frames counter hit launcher (I think it even comes out in 13 if it's done perfectly according to Mr Croft). And if we want to go further and use the while standing 4 and 1,4 from the rain dance position? I don't know if I'm making myself clear, but here's the idea I had, I'm not yet good at back input, I'm still working on that, at Steve's and Shaheen's, to do his iws I either went through a stance or I did D,Df1. Why not do the same with Xiaoyu?
You guys talked about frames in the Xiaoyu Dojo so I will be answering the other stuff I personally don't use iws2 as a poke because of how risky it is. Xiaoyu doesn't really have a qcf type of move which allows her to make her gameplay flow gracefully. Sooo inserting the iWS input can put you in dangerous situations because of misinputs. I do agree in Discord that I want to integrate it to my gameplay as for example, ws3 gives us a +3 on block which is great if you want to continue the pressure.

I think it's speed is what makes it a good launcher
You kinda need to practice that coz you might input AOP 1+2 instead haha
No problem! 😁

Yep! I don't condition a lot to be honest as I am more of a setup type of player sooo yeah haha
