No the judge can make a ruling but we all know the truth. Just how OJ was found not guilty yet we know he did it. To think just because a judge makes a ruling we all have to ignore reality is quite foolish or gullible to be honest.
Guy clearly knew what he was doing putting it back in the same spot twice before playing Anima. Or he's just really bad at the game and has to read cards and not know to put them back in the same place but somehow made it into the finals/semi's of a YCS...
Agree. I think in their first time, they do it accidentally since it looks like they check the card quickly and put it in the closest zone from their hand. But the second time it looks deliberate

Neuron takes a lot more time than just picking up the card and reading it when it's right in front of you. Using Neuron in that scenario would probably have been considered slow play.
warning once should be given a match loss 2nd time with an investigation into whether he was a habitual cheater throughout the tournament. really disgusting behavior
I’m a casual player and never went to tournaments but even I know how important zones are because of effects like Imperm or a monster that can special summon if there are two cards in same zone so he was definitely doing it on purpose specifically putting it in the same zone every time for anima
The first time I could see being a mistake, maybe due to their nerves, I mean it is a YCS match, not like a little pickup game at your card shop. But the second time? That’s def😢cheating, especially since Anima was played immediately after hoping he could steal his opponent’s boss monster or remove a high threat monster from the board
That's why I don't like playing in irl sometimes because your opponent has to pick up the cards to read them and I forget fast, so if they placed it in the wrong spot on purpose there would be a chance I wouldn't realise.
Oh yeah that was definitely deliberate. He put it right in the center of the zone. You can tell by how comfortable he was doing it that he had definitely done it before as well. What a scumbag
Well I can say for certain your build is better than the one I was brewing. I went for a Superior Mode build that used more of their cards in lower ratios.
Once can be a coincidence, twice or more is a pattern. Seeing as he played Anima right after and, you know, put it in his deck, it definitely was deliberate.
As a judge I’ll take it as a mistake the first time around. I’ll give him a PE-Minor for not placing an established card back in its correct zone. Now the second time that’s when i have to call a Head Judge because now that’s a pattern plus the penalty needs to be upgraded.
If he's playing anima, he's going to be highly aware of zones 2 and 4. As soon as a monster is summoned, he's going to be paying attention to whether or not they're in one of those zones. There's no accident here.
As a magic player, clearly communicating your board state is a big pet peeve cuz it should be expected. Not doing that when you only have ~11 spaces to worry about is insane. Its one thing if I flash a vorinclex in and you forget certain lands are locked when the stack triggers down. I can call that an accident. Imperm has been in yugioh for idk how long, but I know it's a hand trap that cares about columns, yugioh players have no excuse for not keeping track of that shit
it does not care about zones when used as handtrap. yugioh players can't keep track of shit. I constantly have to remind my opponents of this fact when I'm the one using Imperm as the hand trap which keeping my mouth shut would actually help me.

This guy though? He was deff cheating. He knew exactly what he was doing and he did it twice. He probably been doing that all tournament.
I'd be willing to believe it was a mistake the first time, but when he did it a second time right before summoning the thing that needs it to be right in that specific spot for a second time I start to question if it was a coincidence
The fact that he made the anima the same turn as these “mistakes” and even had some time pass between placing in the wrong zone and playing anima shows he was probably cheating in a way that he could easily say it was a mistake. So, either he gets away with it and successfully absorbs his opponent’s monster or apologizes and at most gets a game warning.
Well there is "yugioh can't read" like that one instance where a Kuribros member send a Dragon with Diviner and pass turn. But this is definitely deliberate, especially when he had Anima in mind.
Once I had a monster in monster zone 5 and I accidentally put it into the grave while checking my graveyard, I didn’t even realise until a bit after I do think that this isn’t like that, but absentmindedness can go a long way, at least it was caught
If he had done it once then maybe it was a mistake, but the fact that he did it again proves that it was deliberate especially since he has links that want to point at the opponent’s monsters
To do this not only once but twice while also having anima in your extra deck and attempting to use it afterwards, yea no that's definitely cheating and the player should get a punishment for this
