One aspect which most new developers don’t understand is that most of the time you have to work on an application which is already present … you don’t start creating stuff from scratch everyday … and those existing application uses legacy set up most of the time . While then clients are more than happy to upgrade the tech stack they are mostly constrained because of budget .. so my suggestion to those junior developer would be to learn the legacy setup as well as the newer framework (understanding what pain point does the new framework solves)
This is so true!!! Thank you for sharing!
ok bro
I'm glad I found your channel. I really love the content, appreciate your effort for making them and please keep them comingg
Always giving us great pointers to help us meet our goals. You are the best!!👍
Thanks for watching! I'm glad this is helpful for you!
As always a nice piece of advice and cleared my mind from useless thoughts of not getting along with the trends. Thanks, Jessica
Thank you so much for every video you have made so far. I spent the last 20 years in law enforcement and security and just made the decision to move into web development. I have spent the last 2 months studying everyday for hours working on HTML, CSS, and now JavaScript. some days I feel like I am out of my league and extremely overwhelmed and your videos have helped keep me stay motivated. please do not stop making these great videos. there are so many people that you are helping.
I am thinking to get into web development. Sometimes it make overwhelmed me thinking how much ive to learn.😢
I would also say that the market is a good indicator of what trends are popular.
Python is extremely popular as a programming language yet there are more jobs for C++, JavaScript, PHP & C# than there are for Python. The "python trap" catches a lot of young ambitious developers out there.
So ultimately I'd focus on what's really going to help you land the job you want instead of what's the most up to date Framework.
This is extremely important, thank you for sharing!!
I'm lucky to explore your channel at the beginning of my journey. Thanks a lot for your effort!
That was a stress reliever. I have just prepared my mind to start learning programming and everywhere online I see these things about learn this over that and it almost had me scared. Now I can kinda relax and take it easy on my first step.
You got this!
There is so much to learn these days, the best thing to do is to learn whilst doing what you want to do. Don't focus much on tools, they change over time.
@@spidersdotco2923 dude, thank you for your opinion. if I want to learn some program languages for developing high interactive featrues of websites, which one is better?
@@spidersdotco2923 or more animation features. because I prefer animations
Was worried about this as well, but kinda just stopped worrying and focused on my framework of choice and kept going with it. Really relieves some of the stress.
You just spoke my mind and addressed my decision on remaining on the very common cut-across programming language such JavaScript, which is very relevant, updated and surpassing new tech ways of doing things. I Love JavaScript and anything.js. Thanks for the advice.
Glad you liked it! And you can't go wrong with JavaScript 🔥
you are great! you really know about what we are facing, what we want to know, what we need
love your videos, quality and entertaining content ! 🔥👍
I'm took Kevin Powell course in HTML AND CSS and i loved it a lot! Great for beginners and for people who need a refresher

That's what I needed. Thanks a lot!
This video was needed, thank you.
Very glad it could help!
Hello Jessica 👋
It feels overwhelming when people say they are learning web3 and other new stuffs.
Personally I focus on learning native languages then I go for any framework and spends a lot of time before jumping for a new one.
In my opinion, learn the foundation and the practices like testing, accessibility, performance improvement tricks etc to make your apps robust
your channel is a motivational hub for us ......love from India
Just need to get brilliant on the basics. God only knows how many libraries and frameworks have come and gone, but the HTML, CSS, and JS are here to stay.
Editing is insane!
Thank you!
Thank you so much for this very informative video!
Thanks for these resources.
Great advice I will check Stack Overflow's annual developer survey, is better to use data and reduce speculation to keep my FOMO in line.

Recently decided to make a shift from firmware development to web. Although I have been coding all my life, the web is an intimidating arena where the technologies grow so rapidly.
Twitter is the best place for me to keep in-the-know with latest tech trends.
That's a great place to see what's being used and talked about!
Very very important video for beginners.

Thanks for watching!
The Best way to learn new libraries get the extension called hacker tab for chrome
can you show how to create "surprise me" bouton on webpage
for exemple you see article on devellopement and you click surprise me and open 3 article webpage on developpeement but not the one you watch before
Jessica ma'am, I have been following your videos for the the last 2-3 months.I wanted to be a web developer.I don't have a computer science degree.I'm 27 years old.My friends, who are working in IT companies in India says, that no one will talk to you until and unless you have a degree. They further add, when there are plenty of young people available in the market ,who are from good colleges, have a cs degree then why someone will hire a elder person like you, who don't even have a degree.I really got inspired when I listen to your story of how you became a web developer without a degree but now I feel I can't do it.
Any updates?
How did things work with you?
@atul dwivedi hi
Thanks
I am just started web dev and i am using angular and angular material as my frontend stack
I have a question. what do you recommend'
using a css framework(bootstrap or angular material) or just making our own css classes
i dont like angular material because i cant customise some the padding, margin of some the components
but building the css from scratch also seems like too much effort
which is why i like your content since you show how to do things with css alone
Nice.
Sound advice here.
can I use python ml code in node js? please anyone give me the answer.
Damn good advice thanks
Thanks for watching!
@@TheCoderCoder You're welcome :")
Ma'am pls start tutorial series on HTML, CSS, JS, React from beginners to advanced.
By the time I got good JS, Ts is the industry standard
Hi, Jessica, when do you plan to launch your first course? Cannot wait to learn more about Sass from you.
I am still working on it, but hopefully by the beginning of summer!
The VS code extension Live Sass Compiler V5.2.0 from Glenn Marks (not that old one) is supporting the @forward and @use rules, but I don't know if it's better to compile Sass with gulp and all that setup through npm or with this extension. Is someone here already using it?
They're both good options! The extensions are great if you're just working locally. But using Gulp or some other kind of build tool or bundler is what you'd have to use in a real-world production environment on a team. Hope this helps!
Thanks your information, I am 34 years old, I would like to change my job and I start to learn to coding. But it is very complicated.( So many programming language). Could you mind give me some advice to me How to start it ? Python is my first Priority. Do I learn more language ? Thank very much
Good 👍

I want to ask one question.. I made few very good project of Web dev and I want to connect with people and get opportunities.. I also started using twitter.. do you have any advice for me on networking with other developers?
Thanks and keep it up 👌🏿❤️
What you're doing sounds good! You could also try LinkedIn for networking
😍😍😍
Can someone give an honest answer if coding or web development need mathematical skills or being good at math bc I want to give it a try and I'm kinda hesitating
🙏🏼👍🏼
fireship tech news on youtube is also good
as a beginner, one should spend how much time to complete JavaScript..
Svelte is so good
Awesome! 🔥
My best advice is to focus more on learning a skill instead of a tool because tools change over time.
That wallpaper is so modern tho 🤣
BTW, Video on Coffee Script Please ❤️
Hey, if I learn three.js, is it a waste because most of the big companies don't use threeJS right?
So if i want to use that all the time, should I just do freelancing
Or do i find a startup that wants a website made of threeJS
Is that it?
It's definitely not a waste to learn, but if a company that can give you a job doesn't use three.js, I would rather learn whatever they're using in order to get that job. Being flexible to learn is super important!
what the title of your thesis ma'am in college?
Hello miss, pls tell me the road map of web development. I want to start my blog website and also monetize with affiliate links. I know HTML, CSS and also learning JavaScript from RUclips.
What should I do?
I was thinking about the same thing, you didn't tell that you are a mind reader😬, just kidding, tnx so much 😁 🙌😃
Thanks for watching!
I Want to go in Web 1.0 😮😮😲
How to keep up with web technologies?
Use php :?
Bro PHP is very unsafe. Most devs hate it
Why always PHP
PHP is used a lot due to WordPress, and the Laravel framework has helped it a lot
