I remember watching this on Channel 2 when I was about 12 years old. A relative of mine was in an orchestra Fiedler conducted. That relative arranged for my parents to get tickets to one of his concerts when my parents were dating (circa 1958) and then they met him back stage afterwards. Fiedler has always been a playful conductor. Sometimes too playful. Mom reports he pinched her behind when they met. He went in for a hug and grabbed her butt. She didn't want to make a scene so didn't tell my Dad until he took her home. They didn't attend any more concerts though I did as a young child some years later get to watch a lot of rehearsals when I spent time at that relative's house.
