My great teacher and dear friend John Holmes principal oboist. Lessons every 2 weeks at his home in needham, ma. I miss him until today. He made me into a fine oboist. Worked at symphony hall while at NEC of Music and saw this character perform in 1968
So good to finally see this again. I recall watching this on public television in 1974. No video recording for the masses back then, so I recorded it on my mono cassette tape recorder. Had never heard of Professor Schickele before this broadcast, but went out the next day and found a double vinyl copy of "The Wurst of PDQ Bach". Fantastic! Thanks for uploading. RIP Peter Schickele
