Jennie is one of the most talented kpop artist out there in all aspects. Haters, toxic "blonks" and toxic solo stans are just jelaous of her. She's so strong and gives her best for the fans; and always supporting Lisa, Rosé and Jisoo. I admire her the most and I will always support her no matter what.

thank you for reacting, this video is 1 year old but jennie hasn’t stopped being hated. there is video explaining that whole “lazy scandal” called THE TRUTH BEHIND JENNIE KIM LAZY SCANDAL and you’ll learn that she injured herself many times. dispatch is a piece of shit because they have been stalking jennie for 2 godamn years and recently revealed that jennie was dating another yg artist. yg does the bare minimum to protect their idols.

It seems like you definitely got a sense of the meaning behind Jennie's rap line. Because of Jennie's promotions, she gained the title of "YG's Princess"-but in a negative way. She got so much hate, but she never asked for any of the "favoritism."
In reality, what people viewed as "favoritism" is just YG's marketing. Jennie was pushed as the face of the group because her swag/diva image would be more marketable and help push the group into the eyes of the public. Plus, she would be more likely to survive criticism with her 6 years of trainee time (longest of all members), which if anything, made her more deserving of getting a solo first. Having the solo meant Jennie would obviously get the promotions she needed to get ahead. This was reflected in things like her wardrobe standing out. But in the Light Up The Sky documentary we discovered that all of the members, despite/along with their stylists, agree on the wardrobe and theming which resolved the argument that YG favors and gives Jennie better outfits.
In other words, YG was testing the waters and Jennie was the sacrificial lamb. She isn't my bias but I recognize and admire all that she has went through. I remember viewing those stages and thinking, _something is not right with Jennie._ And so did many other people. When Jennie performed at Coachella so many people paid attention to her because it was almost like she transformed completely.
It definitely seemed like Jennie was going through a tough time during the "lazy scandals." We do know she has motion sickness, her mother has said that she has such a physical lack of energy that Jennie was even "born with no physical energy," and the documentary confirms that Jennie has suffered from ankle injuries. Since before How You Like That all the way to Lovesick Girls you can see how Jennie was struggling with her leg problems. For example, in the HYLT Dance Practice Jennie cleverly wore a pink wrap around her ankle which blended with the background and blinks still managed to notice and point out. Poor girl works so hard...
Now it's Rosé's turn to go solo and I wish her the utmost luck. I know she has the other pinks and especially Jennie to stand by her so I'm not too worried. Jennie really supports Rosé which she showed by wearing a red dress with a giant, fabric rose 🌹 in her performance of _Solo_ during the livestreamed concert.
Jennie and Hwasa have to get the most hate as kpop artists and it hurts me bc they are so beautiful and talented and seem so sweet at the same time

I judge them on their actions going forward so she has apologized and not done it since so I have to as a black person myself let it go but that's just me if another black person doesn't want to forgive that's their decision. this video is old but to clear up this "lazy" scandal it basically came out last year that during 2018 and beyond Jennie was working/promoting/dancing on a seriously injured ankle and that she had injured this same ankle about 9 times since her debut and that she actually seriously injured the ankle RIGHT before blackpink was about to perform their debut stage basically meaning their FIRST public appearance as a group so dealing with that and her motion sickness as well as all the hate she received even DEATH THREATS really took a toll on her mental/physical health so i dont blame her at all i wasnt a fan back then either but this whole thing was so blown out of portion its ridiculous people are just jealous of her beauty and success so glad she is doing better and surrounded by bandmates who support and love her!

jemmies lazy scandal was actually a mixture of her anxiety and she actually had a bad ankle that she broke days before debut and she constantly hurts it which will obviously make it harder to dance. as time go by it would’ve been because of her scandals and all the hate since she can be really sensitive. i’m sure something else may have happened but that’s private and we must respect that and support them instead of hating on them.

This video was made in 2019 so it didn’t answer your question of what was going on with Jennie during her “lazy scandal”, but in 2020 news reports came out confirming that Jennie had received complications with her ankle and at one point had to go to the hospital bc of it and the pain. On Twitter the hashtag “Apologize to Jennie” trended bc of it. Jennie received so much hate it was a mess not only that in 2018 Blackpink as a group was also getting so much hate so you can only imagine how much worse the hate was for Jennie. So I’m the end those “lazy” performance was bc he physically could not put a lot of pressure on her ankle and kind of had to work with what she had.

I know you're new to Kpop but trust me there's a reason why EVERYONE hates YG. We all love their artists, we all love their music and the YG vibe but YG himself and the company have always been sketchy af. Read up on how they treated 2NE1 and BIGBANG. They recently had a change of CEO and as they have shown in 2020, they're getting better with them promoting BLACKPINK really well and debuting TREASURE successfully. I just hope that this good streak continues because if YG does well, our fave YG artists are also positively impacted.

Lazy scandal- Jennie had major ankle injury for nearly a year and her motion sickness was very bad, she could only half perform as she didn't want to let the fans down. She and others members have mentioned it briefly. She had to perform in her solo as it would affect future solo project, she didn't have a choice
