It’s funny because, when she wasn’t being as active on stage, instead of people asking if she was okay, many people immediately came to the conclusion that she was lazy and start bullying her to the core that most of people worried that she will also ended up like sulli (the former idol who suicide because of being bullying).At the end of the day, we will never know what is going on with Jennie behind the scenes unless we’re Jennie ourselves. Just imagine how much pressure she went through and still she is on it. Jennie isn’t a baddie, she is just a fighter who fights everything that comes her way. the girl literally carries the group on her back but never gets appreciated still baffles me how YG allowed the hatred for JENNIE to fester and even caused it to stop the release of her solo album. She was emotionally pliable. Imagine how she must have felt when people, including some of her fans, threw her under the bus, only for her agency to do the same. Shame on them, really. Imagine waking up knowing that there are thousands of people out there who express that feeling towards you. Knowing that, you still keep on going every day. You know very well what people say about you on the Internet. “She’s so this, she’s so that.” People call you unacceptable names and words and they think that it’s okay. Yet you still manage to smile and laugh despite the malicious rumors, the gossip, the harsh comments. This is what has been in for you since 2016.
That’s Jennie. The very same girl people believed to be spoiled and lazy. The one who had hate comments directed at her left and right. Jennie doesn’t deserve that treatment. Nobody deserves that. But she still gets it. Day by day goes by and people hate on her. She doesn’t deserve it at all.
One person sitting in their home can go online, create a profile, and say anything they want without anybody knowing who they are. They can navigate anywhere on their screen all while staying right in their seat. In other words, anyone can make a mask and hide behind it. People who hate on anyone can use this mask and, once they reach the comment section, say anything that they please. You can become a whole new person with a few clicks of a keyboard. The real people behind the masks of haters are capable of all of that.
What’s strange is that in someone’s youth they can be a bubbly, happy person. Then, as time goes by, they can change. They can become someone who rudely remarks people, who enjoys bringing down others. We’re all born loving, but over time, that can change. Haters are never born with the intention of what they come to be. It doesn’t make what they’re doing right, but when you realize how they could’ve been like in the past, it’s strange seeing how they’ve changed to someone who hates others.
In “You Never Know”, there is a line that says, “But you never know unless you walk in my shoes, you never know my tangled string, ’cause everybody sees what they wanna see, it’s easier to judge me than to believe.” This is the truth of what not just Jennie, but what all of Blackpink goes through.
In the end she doesn't deserve to be hated just try to put yourself in their prospective.

I don't understand why everything Jennie does becomes controversial The real cause behind the hate towards Jennie is fans' insecurity. Fans are deeply attached to their favorite idols, and when they perceive another idol outshining their favorite, they start dragging that person down. This has been the case with Jennie and still is. I've observed that things that are normal for other idols become a huge deal for Jennie. People didn't genuinely care about her lack of energy; they just needed a reason to bash her.

Money can change people. Yes these girlies might started out pursuing their dream but when they realized they can still make banks without any efforts and even their fans defending their every actions, they might just not care anymore. Why spend hours in improving your singing and dancing when you can just look pretty? It feels like wherever I see Blackpink's name there's something negative. This group just lives off of established hype. They're overrated. Their songs, their vocals, their raps, their choreography....I could never see what was so jaw dropping and awe inspiring. They aren't horrible trash but they aren't anywhere near spectacular. They were always just mid for me. I was completely turned off from then when I saw a performance of their on some American show and it made me realize how much all that fancy camera work they do in Korea carry their performances. Overhyped is the perfect word to use when describing Blackpink and there's many reasons to back it up too. For one, there's really no reason or excuse as to why they're the "biggest GG in the world" but yet only have 1 full album and about 30 something songs as a six year group. And I already know what blinks are going to say "tHaT JUST PROVES how SuCcEsSfUI ThEy ArE" no it doesn't. The only thing it's proving is that they're heavily popular which we all already know. But it says nothing about their musical success which is what it should be focused on but it isn't. Another reason would be the majority of their songs talk about being independent women who don't need a man, but yet their whole career is literally controlled by a group of men. It really doesn't sit right with me how you have lyrics that are meant to be inspiring for females, being produced, written, and looked over by males that don't even respect women it the first place. It makes no sense to me.
People hate Jennie for no reason, but they criticises her for reasons. Jennie has been accused of being lazy on stage for two years. And then after two years, YG suddenly reveals that Jennie had an ankle injury at the time. Thus, we can understand that they were just hype. Jennie herself could talk about the fact that she has an injury, or at least the members could speak up in her defense, as for example Shuhua from (G)-IDLE does (who are under bad company too (cube), and they also have a bad relationship with the producer). I also wanted to give examples where many idols with injuries danced without problems, but I realised that we don't all have the same endurance levels. The fact that her lipsyncing to the song in some parts where she should be singing, and other parts barely getting through the lines vocally (you can notice it by her breathing). Her vocal performance is very weak for an idol that is so popular and spoken about as greatly and multi talented. I feel like when she sings live, she tends to yell. Doesnt really display any vocal skills on stage. Which is really disappointing. I think she totally deserved the criticism she got for it but not the hate. No one deserves hate. I don't want to bash the girl, I just want to express that this behaviour is not okay and how upsetting it is for people who see her as an unreachable dream. All the power to her because people will blindly love her regardless of her work ethic, attitude, talent etc. She is making so much money and is living a luxurious life. We don't know what she is going through, but at the moment, I have no respect for this celebrity. A human dancing R-rated dances (with men and by herself) in order to get hyped up is not an idol for me.
At this point it's funny to me when people say that they should be freed from YG because they're artists and want to pursue music....Them being artists and passionate about music is nowhere seen, especially on the last tour. Let's be honest, if they wanted they would find a way to release more music, even for free. To contact their fans regularly too. They're bored with their music and they embarass themselves as performers. They're just more models and influencers. Their earlier choreos are way more challenging and interesting. Now a big part of their choreos is just them walking around except for the choruses. Haven't you seen any of their vlogs? They're under YG! They do what they want. They eat what they want. They go around with their friends with so much energy yet during performances they can't even dance with 50% of that energy? They have presented some if not many of sloppy perfomances. Is that how they repay all the supports fans have given them? Their choreos are not even that difficult, yet they cannot manage to slay many of their perfomances, and their synchronization sometimes falls apart. There are only 4 members, I am sure it is not that difficult to get everyone in sync, but they occasionally show like they don't care and not even trying to. I swear Seventeen that has 13 members can keep their synchronization in place even with such difficult choreos. The Blink fandom is so toxic that they cannot even see there are something wrong and that many more groups out there that are way better than BP, the overhype surround BP is just way too much. It's sad that the girls do not seem to care how to improve themselves, musically and performance wise, it seemslike they have gotten lost, the passion isn't there anymore. Each come back has been nothing but worse each time. I don't care if blinks gonna attack me, but what I said is nothing but facts. But I wish I could see BP improve in the future. As a 6 year old artist in kpop industry, it's time for them to get up and prove themselves. I truly want only the best for the members of BP but do they deserve to be this famous? No, the answer will always be just no. There has been so many groups that have come and gone that were more dedicated to the fans, to their personas and to story/depth/choreo of their songs. Some of them literally created a group for themselves and hold themselves, manage to write albums for themselves without any problems, and sometimes even create a choreography (BTS, Stray Kids, Seventeen, Mamamoo and (G)-Idle). Does BP out perform all of them? The answer is no. Hype and popularity rarely loses to quality and compasion. I'm just thinking critical, I'm not hating them. Their popularity is not because of their music and talents but because how well YG promoted them and attracted people towards them as individuals. Sadly you can't become nearly as popular as blackpink just by making good music. YG's marketing strategy for Blackpink worked super well for them. They know fans will digest anything.
