As a Floridian, I can tell you that I have such a big love-hate relationship with Disney. I've done everything there is to do at Disney as I've been going there all my life, but I can't help but feel bad for tourists. It's gotten worse the past ten years or so. The crowds, even for special events (ex. the Christmas party), are almost unbearable. They need to cut down their ticket sales; they have plenty of $$$ already. Most food I've had in the parks is good but the food in character dining places (more specifically Crystal Palace) was so nasty. And I can't help but agree with you when you said that it almost feels fake. And don't even get me started on overgrown kids in strollers. Parents, too. I recall a grown man bruising my ankles with one of those strollers. Oh, and the heat. Families spend so much money on Disney and it's honestly mind-boggling in my opinion. Tourists, beware. Edit: That's not to say that I fully hate Disney. I just like sitting in the Main Street train station, just taking in the views and people-watching to be very real with y'all.
The only magic in Disney is how they make your money disappear. So expensive So hot No shade So many people Long lines Live by the clock All the food sucks Everyone is rude If that list sounds appealing to you, then you will love Disney. For the price of Disney for a week, I could take my family on a week cruise, and 2 weeks at the beach. Needless to say we are going to this nightmare again next week. The things you do for your kids.
I have cousins and a aunt and uncle who have a unhealthy obsession with Disney world..they go every single weekend. They completely ruined the Disney experience for me..just because how stressed they made me feel
What I didn't like about Disney was we spent the majority of our time waiting in very long lines (even with fast pass). In fact we spent more time waiting in line than doing anything else our entire trip. Long lines for the rides, long lines for the buses, long lines for food, etc. It just wasn't that fun. I also thought the food was not good not to mention very over priced. 12 dollars for an ice cream cone that was made with the cheapest ice cream on the market is ridiculous and yes you have to wait in a long line for that too ;)
I’m honestly not sure why people are saying that Disney world is awful... like I’m sorry but HOW?? I feel like it just depends on how you see the world, because I’ve never, not one day of my life, felt Disney was fake. Maybe it was because I grew up on it. Maybe it’s because I’ve done overly extensive research on the history of it. I don’t know. I’ve always felt that Disney has a soul and is almost like a living, breathing thing. It helps with my depression, ocd, and anxiety by providing another world where all my worries disappear and I don’t have to think about people judging me for buying stuffed animals or wanting to hug Mickey. When I’m there, I feel completely free, even though I’m still thinking about money and how to plan my day. It’s like an older sister to me, honestly, and I love it with all my heart.
That’s really great, it’s wonderful that it means so much to you and just because it isn’t for me it doesn’t mean anything on your experience. Best wishes ☺️
Yes! My entire life I have waited to go to Disney world, 38 years and finally was in a position to bring my entire family (10 people). It was supposed to be the most magical day of my life and I was sadly disappointed. Firstly, I’ll admit yes, I had the Magic Kingdom built up in my head and was very excited to have all the people I love in the “happiest place on earth”. We stayed on property and had the extra magic hours, we were herded like animals to the people movers, waited in a long line, we had to wait in a ridiculously long line to have our purses checked (they have one old man manually checking, there’s no scanners like literally every other park on the planet). By this point it was well over an hour... we entered the park and despite all the hassles already I was excited but this is where it ends. When we entered there was no magic, in fact the park was at capacity, you couldn’t move let alone walk, people pushing and children screaming all packed in like sardines on Main Street. The entire day there were no characters walking around the park, no princesses and in fact there was a fast pass to meet Mickey? The face of the empire and I need a fast pass?. Turns out all of the princesses were at Epcot, not sure how that’s logical, the castle is at MK. You couldn’t see store fronts, or spot any of the hidden mickeys due to the sheer volumes of people. The regular lines were all almost 3 hours, fast passes +60 minutes, food lines were insane. At 15:00h there was a parade, like I said the park was at capacity so how is that fair to people to “stay in the white lines to view the parade”? We were stuck until that bullshit ended. There’s a billion other reasons it was just an awful experience but IMO save your hundred dollars and go to universal - they have amazing attractions, lower wait times and characters everywhere in all the parks! Long story longer, we promptly left after the parade and all 10 people, children included agreed it is nothing more than a cash grab at every corner with no real magic to be had.
I’m sorry you didn’t like it either, universal was amazing though so in the end the trip wasn’t totally ruined. Thank you for posting your experience, majority of people think it’s blasphemy to speak ill of Disney. Lol
You know, Disney has estimates on crowd levels each day asked on how many tickets were poked for that day, maybe you could try then, also, you don’t need to pay for fastpass
"Felt like you were on a movie set"......yeah, A DISNEY movie set. I live in Florida so i can understand not liking the weather, but what did you think you were going to see?!? I mean, if I flew to Scotland or the UK in the winter and said, "I can't believe it's cold and rainy" you would instantly know i lived under a rock
@@SparklesBooks I still remember buying a small cup of coffee, we're talking only about 7 ounces. They wanted a whopping $10. In 2011, that was still a pricey cup of coffee. The crowds even in August, were unbearable. I learned something shocking: schools in the state of Florida sometimes let parents take their children out of school to go to the theme parks just because they can't stand the crowds. Well, no wonder their child's education is so poor. Bloody fools...
You are so spot on! Feels good to meet a fellow Disney hater. I worked there for a year...that’s a year I’ll never get back! The second it was over I moved straight to Europe to see the REAL Epcot.
When I was little my dad, once a year, would take me and my brother to Disneyland in California (this was in the 1980s). Disney felt magical and special back then, especially riding the Monorail to the Disneyland Hotel. Unfortunately the last time I went most of the original Disneyland Hotel was demolished and the park felt tacky and fake like McDonald's. It was ridiculously overpriced, and crowded with rude trashy people. Disney just feels greedy and shallow now. It was sad.
I have never been to Disneyland but according to my cousin if your kids want to go to any Disney related events. Avoid them and run as fast as you can! The people from the California theme park were useless and rude. She came back home crying. I seriously don't recommend anyone going there!
Florida is disgustingly hot and humid all year round. Don't know how people can live out there. It's so hot to the point you really can't enjoy yourself.
I also felt it was suuuuper strange with everything being so fake. I visited Disney world in Tokoy. One pizza slice in future land about 8 dollars. It's a robbery.. and Mickey is the robber!
You would feel differently if I could take you back in time to 1965 when Walt Disney walked the park. Once upon a time Disneyland was magic. When the artists ran the park.
Oh dear!! 😄 Why on earth did you go??? For what it's worth, I think you unfortunately weren't aware of the amount of planning and preparation a disney world holiday generally entails. You need to pre book fast passes, restaurants etc months in advance. It's not a holiday you can book and forget about until you get there. There are some stunning restaurants on property, but again, it requires a bit of research and forward planning. But look. You're just not a Disney girl, and fair play, why should you be? It's just unfortunate that you spent a lot of money to confirm that. Glad your daughter loved it though, and you can pat yourself on the back for being a great Mum and enduring all that torture for her 😂.
Haha, I went for my little girl, it was her dream holiday so I took her. We did a LOT of pre planning once we booked, we had a year to plan so I booked all fast passes, planned which rides to use and picked places to eat, everyone else loved it, it just wasn’t my sort of thing but I’ll be going back in the future because my daughter loved it so much!
@@SparklesBooks You're a superstar, and possibly a glutton for punishment 😂. She's a lucky girl. For what it's worth, staying in a villa next time might work better for you? It's nice to get out of the "bubble" and eat your own food etc. As I'm sure you now know, November, January and February suit us Brits much better weather wise. Honestly, Virgin should be strung up for recommending literally the worst month of the year. Anyway, good luck for next time.
Yeah I’ve been looking at times of year for the next visit and I think that November might be the month for us and I’ll just grin and bear it. I actually enjoyed staying in the Disney hotel, the pool was decent and I liked the cafeteria on hand for diabetes inducing breakfasts 😂
@@SparklesBooks Lots of villas right outside of Disney have their own pool and hot tub, and they're much cheaper than the hotels. And if you're going to hire a car anyway, you might as well get a villa, hire a car and you'll have lots of stores nearby for much cheaper, possibly better quality food. That's my plan anyway.
Disney world is my absolute favorite place on earth, but I'm not even remotely offended. It's not for everyone, and you don't seem miserable to me. You seem really nice, actually! The heat, lines, crowds, sore feet, and overly sweet foods are definitely not fun, but I deal with them for the good parts. Also, NEVER drink the water in florida! It is awful. Buy bottled water only if you ever decide to come back.
I’m glad you love it, life would be so boring if we all liked the same things, I bet my ideal holiday would have many people screaming and running the other way too haha. The water is terrible isn’t it? Next time I’m there I’ll only drink the bottled water ☺️
The best time to go to FL in my opinion is any time between October-February. With the balanced school schedule every one seems to have gone to, you have plenty of time to go if you want. In my area, they get a week off at the end of September, a week off for Thanksgiving, two weeks for Christmas and another week off at the end of February. So THATS the time to go to FL if you don’t like the heat or crowds! Hope this helps anyone planning a trip in the near future! Also, having been to a couple of theme parks that are NOT Disney, they are usually overcrowded, you spend most of your time standing in line and everything is overpriced! IMO, Florida has a bunch of other things to do besides Disney...beaches, parks and many historical sites to explore! I’d much rather relax at the beach than spend all my time waiting in line for a 2 minute ride!
This tactic no longer works. Did you know that because of the theme park industry's MASSIVE influence on Florida, some elementary schools will let children skip classes to go to the theme parks? I am serious. There are far fewer "slow days" than you think. Doesn't matter to me, I stopped going because they keep hiking prices on tickets. It's no longer worth the insane expense.
Pushing an 8 year old in a stroller is not a normal thing in America, that's 100% a Disney thing. Also here in America our foods are MUCH more sugar filled! Although I completely agree that after only eating Disney food after a couple days you feel like a garbage can; Disney food is like regular American food on steroids.
Strangely enough, I actually like the food at Disneyland better than Walt Disney World. But then again I live right near Disneyland so I'm more familiar with it. When we went to Walt Disney World back in May, I had tacos at Pecos Bill's Cafe in Magic Kingdom and found it way too salty. At Epcot we ate at the Mexican restaurant there (table service) and I wasn't impressed. I thought the counter service. Rancho Zocalo at Disneyland was much better. For dinner we ordered groceries from Amazon which was delivered to our hotel and we cooked our own meal.
Agree, it isn't normal here in America. My family pushed my sister at 5 years old in a stroller at Disney, but only because she has an "invisible" disability (arthritis) and needed special assistance in getting around when she would get too tired or when it would be too hot. Nowadays, she's in her teens and much better, able to get around theme parks on her own very well. If those kids aren't being assisted with special needs, then that's definitely bizarre.
heat - go in November or Jan. You don't need Virgin to tell you it's humid and hurricane season if you did your own research. fake - what did you expect? Its a theme park. 🤷♀️ food - personal preference. I prefer their food to ours. They sell no more meat and sweets than majority of theme parks if not all across the world. again - don't know why youre so shocked. it's a theme park. crowds - it's the most visited theme park in the world. you go to any theme park you get crowds. sept is no longer low season. they have plenty of times of year where its quiet being in your face - I find that quite rude. let them do their job talk to them get to know them. being run down - what cities and towns dont have their rough parts ? look at most or Scotland and the UK. Its not just florida 😂😂 drinks - they do free fresh ice water and bottled. 🤷♀️ lines - ....fastpass or deal with it. and as to meeting the characters, ofc you find it weird but try and get into it. don't go in with such a negative mind set or youll never enjoy it. prams - they've tightened on pram laws now. culture - your attitude towards the people who love disney is insulting. we love what we love. we aren't bothering you? I actually pity you thar you couldn't get into it and why put others down for it? I work hard and if I wanna buy a 60 dollar disney shirt for my holiday I bloody well will. don't go back. it's not for you. maybe just stick to cultural holidays. I dont see the appeal of wandering around a castle in the piss rain here in the UK but there you go 🤷♀️
@@SparklesBooks ah the usual 'you need to calm down response'. 🙄🙄🙄 My comment is simply defending a place I adore as well as give people another insight into what disney world is like from a prospective from someone who loves it. I wouldn't want someone to come across this video whos thinking abiut going to disney and be put off by your video which is just full of negativity and mostly petty reasoning in my opinion 🤷♀️
Jesus Christ @heartsindisneyworld you’re absolutely tragic, look at you making out that you’re trying to save the masses from being put off Disney? Get an actual grip, it’s rally pathetic that your life revolves around Disney so much. You are what is wrong with the world.
@@neonheaven76 If disney served her a bowl of sh*t in a mickey mouse bowl, @Hearts in Disneyworld would still love it and defend it, because "It's a place I adore" therefore they can do no wrong.
I like Disney but was really turned off by their prices and very long lines for everything. And yes they way over charge for poor quality food. We won't be back for a long time. I have been to Scotland and will say that Scotland has some of the best tasting water in the world so I figure most places' water does not taste good compared to theirs. That being said Sparklebooks I enjoyed your video and review of Disney.
I've been to Disney World Florida once, I went when I was 8 or 9. So obviously it was fun back then because I was a kid. But now my dad brought up some good points that proved to me that it's actually pretty bland and boring. I'm a massive Disney fan, but I don't think I could go back for myself to that Disney World. It's cool for kids and kids only really. And it is artificial, those people in the character suits are pretty much forced to stay in character, it's a rule at Disney World (all of them). So I agree with you. Happy to see I'm not the only one who doesn't like it.
@brash candiboot I would actually take offense to that due to the fact I actually disabilities, but I won't because you sound dumb as fuck yourself. And not everyone enjoys Disney World, and no one has to. I enjoy Disney films, not the parks. Me not enjoying Disney World as an adult is my opinion and feeling towards it, I could give two fucks about how you feel about it.
Used to be that the only time the crowds were over the top were blackout times. Now it's year round. Of course also the population of the world doubled since I originally went when it was more affordable and you could get discount tickets. There was no way to fast track the lines unless you had a disability. You didnt have to come back to a ride hours later and you didn't have to pay extra unless you park hopped. Those days are long gone.
I went to WDW back in may of this year and I agree it is SUPER HUMID and I came from Texas which get hot as well but not as bad as Florida, and I do agree it is pretty pricey which is why before I went I bought a Disney shirt from Etsy and made my own mickey ears to save money from buying them there. I feel the main reason some young kids being in strollers cause its a HUUUUUGE PARK!! so the kids might have gotten tired and need a rest so they use the stroller (if I was young I would have loved it lol), all in all if you ever wanted to do Disney again to give it another chance I would recommend a Disney cruise which I did that in may as well before going to WDW and I felt relax on that.
Love your observations! Thanks for the chuckle. It’s important to take some cool breaks when venturing into those parks. Cool misting fans help too. And only drink that bottled water! Florida has some of the worst water in the U.S. In the Magic Kingdom, please try Liberty Tree Tavern which serves several courses, and it feels like Thanksgiving. Our family thinks it’s one of the better restaurants for the money. Of course you have to make those reservations in advance.
Walt Disney World is really the WORST of what Florida has to offer. I really hope you didn't waste too much time in this crowded, sweltering, mosquito infested, exploitive tourist trap! It's like $15 for a simple soda, and you have to sneak in liquor and pour it into a flask in your hotel room for walking around and stuff, and steathily pour it into your hyper expensive soda. Food is OUTRAGEOUS in the resort, and a decent meal costs as much as you would spend on a weeks worth of groceries. Second, I don't know why you would go there as an adult unless you have children. And even then, your children would have to be kind of dumb and infantile to enjoy themselves there. I remember going there as a kid, and was underwhelmed. Epcot was really the only somewhat OK part of it. On subsequent trips to florida, we skipped it entirely. There's much better low key and relaxed places to visit in Florida. One time we visited Ocean World, which was a knock off of sea world, but better because they don't beat the animals and stuff. Sea World got pissed and had fake animal rights activist shill sue to shut it down because they were threatened by it. Anyway, florida has sea fishing (cheap charters), all different types of beaches (from family oriented to places to pick up chicks), fantastic nature preserves where you can see rare birds and alligators, jetski and parasailing, motorcycle tours, cool museums, airshows, car shows with cool hot rods, good barbecue and world class sea food, friendly girls, the list goes on and on. Don't get conned into attending miserable, sweltering crowded hellholes like Walt Sleazy World!
Disney is certainly not for everyone. Sorry you had such a bad time and yeah Virgin surely gave you some bad information about September being a cooler when it comes to temperature. September is one of the worst months to visit Florida because it's very hot and of course it's hurricane season. Disney World can also be overwhelming for a lot of people as it's not unheard of to make dining reservations 180 days in advance and making fast pass reservations for rides 60 days out if you're staying on Disney property and 30 days out if not staying on property. It's really a lot lol. If you ever wanted to visit a Disney park in America I would suggest going to Disneyland in California. It's more of a locals park and a totally different vibe than Disney World. Best wishes to you and hopefully you give Disney another chance.
Hello, thank you for the tips. I’ll definitely be giving Disney another go but I think I’ll stick to maybe March time for the weather. We definitely planned it all, fast passes were booked and each day was planned out so I think we nailed that side of it, it was just the stuff out of our control that didn’t quite go to plan but I’d like to try another time of year ☺️
I'm with you on Disney, I've been there many times over the years and it dosen't get any better over time imho. Our food here in America can tend toward the fried side of the kitchen but it can be controlled by the choices we make about our diets. Be ready when you go to a restaurant to get an over abundance of food. I save money by taking home what I don't eat in the restaurant and it then becomes 2 or maybe even 3 meals. I met my wife in Florida so I feel your pain about the subtropical climate. I. Hate. It. And so we moved 700 miles north to the mountains of North Carolina. We both love it here, cooler but we can get hot & humid several months a year. But we have 4 distinct seasons here. There are many beautiful places here in the States & I hope the man made prettiness of Disney doesn't put you off from coming across the big pond and visiting other places. In reference to Florida, I've joked over the years to my wife that if the world ever needed an enema the tube would be inserted in Florida 😉😱.
I’ve been elsewhere is the states and enjoyed it very much. There are a fair few places in the USA that are on my bucket list of places still to see, I don’t class Disney world as a true depiction of America, it certainly is it’s own little bubble! The portion sizes in restaurants were huge! We also took stuff away with us because it was a full meal again that we couldn’t manage in that sitting. I’m definitely not a fan of humidity haha .
As an avid Disney lover I find this interesting. I would say that if you visit other theme parks in America, Disney is actually incredibly detailed and well build in comparison. They spend a lot of time on the details. Yeah the food is really sugary and fatty and just not the best. I found Disneyland to have better food, but honestly it’s pretty American to have everything fried and fatty and sugary unfortunately. I’d love to see Disney up their food game with better healthier foods in the future. Disney World used to have down times where the crowds were not bad and it was much easier to navigate and enjoy it, but now days it is always crowded and exhausting... they really don’t have a low season anymore, which sucks. Props to you for putting up with it for your daughter! It’s a lot and it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
I could definitely see that a lot of people loved it and I’m happy for them and it’s a great place to go for a week or two of escapism but yeah, it definitely wasn’t for me but I’m certain I’ll end up back there with my children again in the future ☺️ They definitely could do with upping the quality of the food though!
One of my traditions when I go to Disneyland is to eat at the French Market in New Orleans Square. I always look forward to the Cajun Jambalaya every time I go.
I completely understand all the points you touched on. I'm from Canada and most treats in Disney World are way too sweet for me as well. Though in America fake sugars and extremely sweet food is common and preferred. I don't get it either. I've never been to Ireland but by the way you describe it, I'd assume theirs not as much small talk or people like Disney cast members. They do their best to make your stay as "magical" as they can. When you're miserable in the heat I completely understand not liking it. I know you probably won't read this or if you do, won't care about my input and opinion, but with all that said by family and I really enjoy Disney World.
Oh I think I’ll enjoy it next time. I was actually really unwell whilst we were there too which really didn’t help, there were lots of things I did enjoy (but that wouldn’t have fit the video haha) I’m hoping to go back again in the future ☺️
You are so right! To make it affordable you have to go to a local store and being scared to do so is not good. It is run down and prostitution and drug sales make it worse. And yeah, those forty people, probably not all family members, wearing the same thing, that is so laughable. I'm just glad you didn't get to the point where the disney employees would threaten to spit in your food and drink if you complain, which happens a lot.
As far as #2...the U.S. doesn't really have castles. The closest we get to a castle is maybe Boldt Castle near the U.S./Canada border, which really isn't old and isn't even complete. Your British neighbors didn't build us any while they were here colonizing, nor did the French or Spanish. It just was not done. Our castles are based on an imaginative idea of STORYBOOK castles. Not real ones. Most of Magic Kingdom, is based on American buildings, history, and imagination. Naturally, since we come from different cultures, it is going to feel different and look different from what you would imagine. Magic isn't real, so naturally our magic embedded dream world, isn't going to be hyper realistic. Its supposed to be nostalgic, adventurous, and imaginative. Distant from the REAL world. Love the video and seeing alternate opinions about this theme park resort, but sometimes you gotta know what your perspective is, compared to the people in a different country and the way each approaches dreams and fantasy. ]That's just good customer service in general. I love the welcome home and optimism the cast members project. Its nice, because on the street people can be rude. Then again, I'm from Texas and we are generally friendly people. Some of us like talking to our neighbors and sharing stories. Interacting with the people, especially on trips, is one of the best things for me. I went to WDW back in 2009, as a young teen, and I still remember the names and interactions of cast members we talked to, and other people my family has talked to on other trips to other places. Maybe its just your culture being different from ours. The positivity is so nice. Honestly I love the cast members reaching out so much, but to each their own. The princesses in my opinion, are great role models and a lot of them DON'T need princes (I've had lots of discussions about this). They are kind despite being abused or dealing with awful things. They push for their dreams (apart from Snow White, but she's also the YOUNGEST Disney princess. There are other better role models in general, but the princesses being nice is definitely something I think is odd to be upset about. The families with the matching shirts in large groups are often family reunion parties. I saw a lot of these when I went. My family doesn't do them, but other families do and love to. Its nice to see families get together maybe after long periods apart or for one big annual trip they do together, in my opinion. My parents and my sister and I occasionally match things, but its not so many of us and it isn't all the time. We just enjoy it. Being a fan is just something that seems to happen or doesn't. Honestly, I'm a big Disney fan, but I'm friends with people who don't like Disney at ALL or just like it passingly. That doesn't mean that Disney fans are weird haha Everybody has something they can go a little crazy over or that they know a lot about. Sometimes the characters and movies help people feel more relaxed or happy, and even if I don't get that way about everything others do, I don't see a problem with it. I'm sorry you didn't have a good time, and that your booking team decided to send you in hurricane season without warning. That is awful. I hope you can find a better vacation spot that you and your daughter both equally enjoy and can be excited about!!!
@@amazingtoad7244 No. What I'm saying is that the closest castle to the U.S.is up north, close to the Canadian border. I passed geography, thanks. I used to live in NY (the state), I went to Boldt Castle, and I have been to Canada. If you look up Boldt Castle, it is very near the river boundary we share with Canada in that area. Besides that, I'm a hockey fan, so I think I know where Canada is.
You’re spot on: in an earlier comment I said that the review reminded me of going to the beach and complaining about the sand, but there was also seems to be a bit of going to Florida and complaining that it’s not Scotland. There is a lot to critique Disney for, including the exorbitant prices, but some of the critiques in the video just sounded a bit ignorant if I’m honest. And I’m shocked that she says she plans to return.
I don’t think there’s anything “flat pack” about Disney. I agree with some of your critiques, but this review is almost like going to the beach and complaining that there was sand. What did you expect?
Those are really bad reasons if you go to Florida you expect the heat you expect the rain and you must have been an excellent guest if you seriously thought about putting things up people’s bums, and by the way have a magical day is a secret insult to the people who worked there.
If you were being told to “Have A Magical Day” all the time I guarantee it’s not in the way you think it is. That is their nice way of letting you know that you have upset them some how.
Yeh, Florida in general is just hot and humid most of the year, I lived near Orlando for a few years and it's pretty miserable in September, so sorry you were advised so badly. You might have done better going to Disneyland in California for easier weather. I am an American who has lived in Japan and now Italy for the last 6 years and can tell you the sugar consumption in America is off the charts compared to other parts of the world and it's an addiction at this point for many people. Much of what you described is why I'm not in a hurry to go back but it seems we are slated to return to America next. I wonder if anyone has been to Disney Paris and how it compares?
I definitely blame the travel company for selling us on the promise of mild weather because the humidity and heat were unbearable. I was pretty shocked by the sugar consumption, it was hard to eat being from a country where we have a huge emphasis on cutting sugar. I’ve spoken to people who repeatedly go to Disney Paris and they love it but it’s supposed to be rather expensive. Especially for character breakfasts and such.
Biggest fact of all when it comes to Disney. They'll bleed you dry and send you home penniless. Everything's so dam expensive, and they'll put on these fake lil events to make you feel like you're in a wonderful and magical place as they bleed your wallet of all it's funds. I lived there before, and it absolutely SUCKED, but I was in Casselberry, which is a bit north of Disney and Celebration. People (due to the heat) would sweat, and then you would plop down on some theme park ride they just stepped away from while you enjoyed their moisture. In addition, you paid like 10 dollars for a burger that made would make McDonald's lil cheeseburgers look like a Angus beef patty fresh off a flame broiled grill. I mean you get this puney ass little patty slapped between 2 dry buns and no lettuce, tomato, or ANY sort of condiments. You have a sloppy condiments bar that had ketchup and mustard squirted all over it and no attendants to keep it clean and refreshed. It was DISGUSTING!!! For what you pay, you get absolutely ROBBED by this place, but hey, people are stupid enough to keep feeding this company it's money like a kid to an arcade machine at the local laundry mat. Enjoy the magic you're paying for. Suckers
I live roughly 30 minutes from Disney World, but I don't go that often. Every time I leave the park I just feel... underwhelmed. Everything is overly expensive, lines are miserable to wait in, and fast passes have become a necessity (even though they are blocked now, cause of COVID). I don't know why people are so personally offended with your point of view. Even my friends that love Disney cannot fill the time to stay all day. And they always end up complaining about the walking, crowds, and, humidity. I'm glad your daughter enjoyed it though.
Hello David here from Sebring Florida, I been a Disney, and Disneyland fan in California and a Collector for over fifty years and I can understand some of your concern’s. A much better choice for you and your her daughter would have been Disneyland in California. You would of liked the weather much better. It is the original park that Walt Disney built himself, so it has a more magical feel to it. It is much smaller. The best way to see the park is to get there early in the day so you can see a few rides before it gets real busy. The other good time is when there is a parade going on, the rides are not as busy. I think the main problem is that you did not grow up with the classic Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie mouse they’re very special to millions of people. So it’s a thrill to meet them and have your picture taken with them. I hope you have a chance to see a classic movie on RUclips called Disneyland USA from the 1950’s so you can see how different it was when Walt Disney himself ran the park, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on my thoughts and thoughts about the movie, and have a magical day! Lol 😂 so sorry I could not resist. 😎
3 years later and Disney still sucks, I went to go get a frozen coke once and I was drenched and dripping in sweat and my hair is longer so it's safe to say I looked pretty wild but this guy dressed like a pirate and missing a tooth/his other teeth looked shit too decides to almost mock me, this was m first time there and I honestly hate crowds so much I never wanted to go in the first place but I did for my kid that's all anyway there's a small line so I just wait for him to call me up and when he does he just has the biggest smile like he's trying not to laugh idk that wasn't the only incident when a worker was passive aggressive as hell like they hate their job but they can't say anything I think you shouldn't work there if you're gonna be making fun of people, like I so bad want to go back to just that one spot and roast this pirate mf literally made no sense I felt so out of place the whole time at Disney. Another thing as an adult going to Disney for the first time I felt an obligation to be fake myself, Disney is definitely so fake but the views are cool but the places you really want to go, star wars, toy story you never get into because there's too many people. More on that last point I felt like I had to have a fake smile on the whole time or someone would flip out on me, I heard so many different times "how can you be sad at Disney" or "it's Disney! Smile" like nah if I don't want to smile at the creepy ass people in suits that I'm not sure to look at their eyes or mouth since ik their eyes are in their mouths idk but fuck Disney I'm sorry for the rant
One of the biggest reasons I am glad I do not have children: I don't have to hear them whining and crying about going to Disney World. My dubmfuck parents dragged me there when I was 8. I will never, ever forgive them. I remind them of this often.
Disney has kind of pissed me off for a different reason. My family loves it but it's ME that does the paying and the planning. No matter what I do, it's always something! Favorite rides closed, reservations changed, someone screwing up our tickets... it's getting harder and harder to navigate. And honestly. ... I think Disney world loves my money and doesn't give a crap about me. (Rant over!)
Greeting from mid coast Maine. We got it you don't like Disney. It's either a hate it or love it kind of place. I lot of people hate Disney. I grew up on classic Disney, therefore I over look the negatives. To me it nostalgic of a time when Walt was alive with his creative genius. Disney is not so much a place but a feeling. However, you did make some excellent points about too much on the computers (Face Time), Strollers, and a really overindulgence of junk food. The water in central Florida is not very good. It takes getting use to. The water has a lot of Sulfur. It smell like rotten eggs out of the faucet. That why WDW get away with selling bottle water $4.50 per 16 oz , because few can gulp that liquid down.
That said, Im must say the fireworks were awesome. But at the end of a long grueling day, not enough to repair the damage already incurred. And then, try getting outta the Magical Kingdom. The pushing and shoving to get on the monorail to get to my car parked at the end of the world? It's a blood sport. But at the end of the day, I was ready to take on the opposition.
This is wonderful. Somehow your hatred of all things Disney just served to solidify my deep intense life-long love of the same. Everything you said is right about sweets, lines, prices, but I live forDisney magic(as saccharin as it is). I need the fantasy. Guess I won’t see you there. New Zealand is GORGEOUS!
Well keep in mind your idea of Humidity and heat is far from what your idea is. There are alot of Veggie the turkey legs are only in one area normaly, But sugar really you come from the people of fryed marsbars! XD.
I enjoyed WDW for many years. But I can honestly say that Disney World today is nothing like it was during my very first visit as a little kid in 1986. A lot of the classic attractions are gone, the cast members are rude, and guests are rude, rides are constantly down, the prices are way too high, and don't even get me started on that stupid dance parade they have at MK...no thanks. I also don't support their liberal/SJW agenda they're pushing these days either. Hell, look what they've done to Star Wars! Disney is dead in my eyes.
When I had kids I didn’t like Disneyland, but now that I’m older my husband and I love it. Stress from kids can ruin a lot of the Disney parks. We now like to eat at the more expensive places in downtown Disney and relax and do what we want. However, we go to Disneyland not world, and we go during off season and can literally run to the ride as there will be no one in line. Kids with phones is a parental thing not American. LOL this was hilarious, definitely don’t agree, but I understand if you don’t like Disney you won’t get it and it will be a horrible experience.
SparklesBooks my kids were 6 and 7 the first time we went. They cried on every ride. The park cast members would tease them and look shocked saying they never saw kids that hated Disneyland. We went back when they were 16 and 17 and now they love it. I didn’t pay any attention to other kids though, probably because mine were those psycho kids. Nothing like spending a fortune and being miserable.
I agree with you. What was your travel agent thinking, lying to you about the weather?! I lived in Fort Lauderdale, which is 200 miles SOUTH of Disney World. September is the HOTEST month in Central and South Florida, as the daily thunderstorms start to let up. Orlando is generally not as hot until December at the VERY earliest!
Someone should tell you that Florida is one of the weirdest places in America. It is the southern California of the East Coast. It is a very unusual place that doesn’t follow any kind of logic The whole state is fake and revolves around image. If you would’ve travel to Miami he would’ve seen the same thing. Also it is hot year round. I prefer Disneyland in California experience this more intimate and the structures are more detailed. Just a very different vibe and experience at that park. But just for the future know that florida is a crazy place.
Man I really just wish they would make bigger and better rides. They don't even have a giga coaster in any park, and they don't even have any rides faster than 65 mph. They would be a very nice place for me if they just spent some money on coaster enthusiasts making rides like Top Thrill Dragster, Maxxforce, Intimidator 305, Maverick, so on. They are the richest theme park company in the world and they can afford it.
I think a weekend trip and bring your own souvenirs you bought headed time for the kids and bring your own snacks and water is the best way to go. Make your meals at your place your staying or plan and research places to eat before going. Disney world is good in small doses. We've spent 14 days there and it was way way too long and almost killed my sanity. Iv also been there for long weekend trips and it is way more enjoyable.
I loved your review. Excellent commentary and observations. Real insight. I went to Disneyworld Florida with my parents when I was 8 years old and also at 14. I enjoyed it and had a great time but thinking back I believe it was really because I was with my parents and sister and we enjoyed being together on holiday. Now, decades later, I believe I would feel exactly the same as you. I've been blessed to travel around the world including Glasgow, Edinburgh and Orkney Islands, Scotland. When you've seen the REAL, the FAKE can easily get on your nerves. When you go to Europe and other older places in the world the buildings and structures have "soul". The energy coming from the lives and experiences of millions of people who lived out their lives there. Unfortunately, the comments you made about food, meat, sugar, water, fizzy drinks is really a blight on our American culture. The S.A.D. (I.e. Standard American Diet) is creating disease and many health problems for children. When trying to find good food in America look for Asian, Indian and Mediterranean options. Sometimes there are Mexican options that are healthier than others. That said, Florida is a unique culture in and of itself. It would be great if you could visit some other places in the USA that would appeal to your more cosmopolitan tastes. I think you'd enjoy the Pacific Northwest, Colorado and the Rocky Mountains (i.e. where I live), New England and New York. I'm sure you'd like some Canadian locations like Montreal and Vancouver as well. Thanks for your honest and thoughtful comments.
Honestly, these complaints could apply to any Florida theme park (I mean giant turkey legs are a staple of theme parks down here). I think you just don't like these type of highly themed parks. Because, in the end, a theme park is not the real thing. It is supposed to be a highly re imagined recreation.
While certainly every theme park has theming, I do not agree that every theme park feels the same. While others aim to recreate the existing world, Walt always wanted to present his own perfectionistically enhanced version of the world. And let's be honest: not everyone likes Walt's style. This style strikes many as creepy, and if they researched what Walt was like first, many would probably not go at all.
I've read that when a Disney World worker says "Have a magical day" it's often code for F.U.--the way southern American women say, "Bless his heart." Sorry you had a bad experience. Next time you're in America go to Yosemite, or drive along the California coast from L.A. to San Francisco. Based on your reaction to Disney World, you would be making a huge mistake if you went to Las Vegas.
I have a friend who did the College Program and she says she never said it with that kind of intent. A lot of Cast Members mean it genuinely and just love their jobs, the environment, and interacting with people. As a Texan with lots of experience with "bless his/her/your/their" heart, I can honestly say I don't equate it that way at all hahaha Maybe some mean it that way, but overall that's probably NOT the sentiment. Even Disney Store cast members say it and they don't mean it that way either unless they're probably dealing with a rude customer.
Ok, come to Florida. it's hot here. Live here 365 a year. Don't like fake castles stay at home. We don't have real castles here. Don't know what you were expecting. Amount of meat? Don't eat it... made it to 3:42 and was bored....
yea its especially boring when you're 21 like me and didnt bring any friends along, the only ride i enjoyed there was the pirates of the caribbean one, also the line to the train that takes out of the park after the fireworks is fucking massive, it took my family 2 hours just to get to the parking lot
Couldn't agree more. Disney World is the absolute worst. The reasons are too many to even name. Went to Scotland in 2011 and it was amazing and perfect.
first of All I am sorry you did like Disney World but the Disney cast members work very hard to make your Disney Trip fun And Good Disney Cast Members Don't Get Pay A lost of Money I know This Because I work for Disney World AS a Cast Members and it is are job to make you Experience Fun And Happy yes we have to say have a Magical Day or we Get Fired we don't like to be in your face but are our Manager tell us we have to say it Disney can be fun
I enjoyed a lot of Disney and I think the magical day parts and the work of the Disney cast members is perfect for the children of the part, my daughter found it to be a magical experience, I’m just miserable 😂
I love disney! but I also found this really interesting and could appreciate your POV - don’t see why some people in the comments feel like you shouldn’t be able to express your opinion about the negative experience you had 😂 much agreed that crowds are one of the big down sides of the parks :( I’m really glad your daughter enjoyed! x
I didn’t like Disney World because I thought it was boring(ride wise). I realized it’s a Theme Park and not an Amusement Park so that’s just a main reason why it’s not for me. I did like the fireworks in magic Kingdom. But that’s it.
Yes yes yes even as an American I think it’s crazy the fandom and debt people go into to have these vacations. I didn’t enjoy my Disney world trip as an adult and I call it tragic kingdom 😂
Great video , i too live in Scotland and I'm used to cold weather , here's the thing my wife and i are going to Orlando next March we booked March as i hate the hot weather thinking it's gonna be cooler and less crowds , but i read that March is busy with Americans as it's Spring break and it might fall on Easter, so i pray that it won't be too crowded, can you tell me can you buy chilled bottled water on the parks ? i love water especially Scottish water and i drink gallons of water every day , also is it true you can't buy tea to drink its only coffee, one more thing what was wrong with virgin was it their planes or just bad advice ? thanks 😁
From what I recall, there was chilled water in bottles around but it was very expensive, I used to take my own bottled water in with me. As for tea, I don’t know because it was so hot I didn’t look for a warm drink, I do recall seeing bags of ‘Irish tea’ in the cafe at breakfast time which I’m pretty sure was just the same as English breakfast tea so you should be able to come by a cuppa each day. Virgin told us loads of half truths, tried to sell things we didn’t want and insisted on putting us into a really poorly rated hotel even though we wanted a Disney hotel and had to change this ourselves. The actual flight was fine but the hotel part and the info we were given was actually appalling and, for a large part, incorrect.
SparklesBooks sorry to hear your bad experience with Virgin i was going to book with Virgin but changed to Thomas Cook, im am fair skinned so i just hope it's not too hot in March, i might just avoid Disneyland as i hate long queues and large crowds , did you enjoy Orlando and would you go back ? oh i enjoyed your video on Chillingham Castle we used to have a static caravan in Northumberland just recently sold it 😞 used to visit Chillingham castle love the atmosphere of the place especially during the autumn season , the owner of the castle is a character, have you ever visited Bamburgh and Alnmwick castle? completely different from Orlando Disney 😀 almost forgot there's a nice little castle in the quiet village of Etal Northumberland and it's free and most of the time it's quiet worth checking out. This will be my first time in Orlando and I'm not looking forward to the long flight, did you visit Universal at Orlando is it as bad as Disney?
I have to say, I wasn’t keen on Orlando, I did prefer being inside of Disney world to wandering around Orlando but I’m not a city girl, I’m not really into shops and people haha so take that with a pinch of salt and just see what you make of it. I went to Clearwater beach in Florida, it was lovely there, White sandy beaches and warm sea! Was perfect. I didn’t get to do universal but I’ll try that next time I’m there but I think it’ll be largely the same as Disney with the crowds but I’ll probably try for March or November time for the weather. I’m glad you liked the chillingham vlog, where abouts was your static caravan? Haggerston? I’ve been to bamburgh and Alnwick many times, I’m actually heading to Alnwick this weekend ☺️ I’ve never been to Etal, I’ll have to look it up. The flight wasn’t too bad, it was long but the in flight entertainment was pretty good, there were a lot of movies and things to choose from which kept us busy for the most part. ☺️
SparklesBooks Hi, Yes our caravan was in Haggerston we had it for 9 years , i loved haggerston but the site fees are expensive and i wasn't really going as much as I used to, i am sad that it's been sold i miss it, but i will be back just hire someone elses caravan, i love Alnmwick Castle and the gardens, they use the castle now for rock concerts, the tree house is nice, i just wish they would stop adding things to the grounds as it could become a mini Disney , it's good that if you buy a ticket once you can use it for the year which saves money , have you ever been to Chainbridge honey farm ? it's worth a visit especially the double decker bus cafe , oh i bet you are a frequent visitor to Barter Books in Alnwick? i love the east cost of England beautiful beaches and it's great to get away from the city and relax, you mentioned the beach in Florida is that Cocoa beach ? Talking about books there is a great little book shop in Berwick upon tweed called Berydyn books small shop but a lot cheaper than Barter Books, you will probably know about the book shop in Alnwick Rotary club book shop, i like this shop but the opening hours can be strange and it can be pot luck if it's open . Regarding Orlando what's it like at night can it get busy ?
I was looking at a caravan myself at Haggerston but the site fees were way beyond what I would consider reasonable but I’ll definitely have Holidays there now and then. I do love Alnwick and being able to reuse the tickets is a bonus, I’ve got Historic Houses passes this year and that gets you free access to Alnwick, bamburgh etc and loads up and down the uk so that’s my summer sorted. I’ve been to chain bridge once a few years ago, I was visiting someone camping at the site there and stumbled upon it, I fought loads of honey. I’ve never been to the book shop in Berwick but I’ve been to the Alnwick one but not the rotary club one so that’s one to look up next time I’m in the region! I grew up visiting the Northumberland coast as I’m originally from Newcastle but even though I don’t live in the area now, I still love visiting the old favourites ☺️ No I didn’t go to cocoa beach I went to one called Clearwater Beach and it was about a two hour drive from Disney but it was a great day out, google image search ‘Clearwater Beach Florida’ and you’ll see what I mean ☺️ I only saw the Disney areas of Orlando at night, we stayed up once for a fireworks display but having young children we were usually in bed around 9pm on the other evenings.
Respectable opinion. I also dislike Disney World, but I think it's because we as adults can see through the crap. I think in general it's different for 8 year olds.
Hi! I’m a Disney lover and I loved hearing what you didn’t like about Disney world. I very much agree with you on how bad the water tasted, you’re spot on with that! Why so many people (like myself) love Disney World has a lot to do with nostalgia, so if you’re an adult going to Disney for the first time I can definitely see where you’re coming from not enjoying it
Please do not go to Disneyland, since it’s meant for cheerful, optimistic and lovely people! There are lots of sweets but there are plenty of other food! I am so sad to hear such a feedback but it’s your own opinion about the best place on earth - Disney Land!!!
Disneyworld and Disneyland almost same, but the idea is the same. IF you plan ahead you are bound to find wonderful food and not roast in heat, avoid certain months. I mean there is sooooo much info out there, as with anything if you don't plan it...trip goes downward. Its actually very enjoyable for all ages. But with kids you have to plan even more. 🤷🏻♀️ at the end YOU are the one who spent all that money, at least for the sake of your child slap a smile and suck it up 😁
Your comment about them constantly asking about your day is something their customer service managers force them to do. The employees are just following procedure. Best to take it up with management. The sight of the child with a mobile in the pram? That's why so many children here are having learning problems and difficulty growing up in society. Their useless parents think it's cute for them to have their own mobile because they're so cheap these days. I live in the US and even if I had a child, that child will NOT be allowed to touch a cell phone until age 16. This is NOT limited to this country. I've seen Mexican tourists doing the same. In fact, my father's friend, who lives in Mexico, has two daughters and both had their own iPhones loooong before they were old enough to drive a car! So it's not happening only here.
PS: your last comment is one I can answer easily: why do you Brits and Scots love Harry, Ron and Hermione so much? For the same reasons. I've read the books and seen the movies. I went to Universal Orlando last year to see Harry Potter World. I have a feeling you would be making similar complaints about Universal. It's a holiday, it's not necessarily supposed to be 100% real. What did most children wait in line for? To get an electronic wand at Ollivander's! You stand in front of the shop windows and cast a spell and it triggers an animatronic. And a LOT of children wore house robes. A holiday is supposed to be about escaping the bustles of our hectic lives so I don't understand your criticism of Disney's castle. Disney World was built in the 1970s. It won't have a 300-year-old castle. If you go to Universal, would you expect Hogwarts to feel like an old Scottish castle? Universal and Disney World are theme parks: they are MEANT to mimic the world outside us and the worlds that exist in the minds of Walt Disney and JK Rowling. One interesting thing: Rowling did not want characters dressed up for meet and greets in Universal because she felt it would ruin the "aura" that one feels when stepping into her characters' world. The theme park industry is about having fun by living out fantasies in a safe, controlled environment. That's why it's a multi-billion dollar a year industry. Even Dubai is struggling to talk Universal into opening a theme park in their country..
Also it’s Disney… of course it’s fake. And crowded. Also in summer it’s almost completely empty. “Winter” is the on season. Also you don’t have to eat the sweets or drink the soda there is alternatives they just don’t keep those on display because well it’s Disney and they are a terrible company.
I think it’s one of the least magical places I’ve ever been. Real magic is to be found for people who don’t need it manufactured by others. Feel sorry for the people who need consumerism to think they’ve found magic.
What do you expect Epcot countries are just replicas and everything else is just build and they’re trying to hardest to make it look real and you’re just insulting it👎🏻😡 and most of the reasons are not Disney World fault
Once upon a time, Disney prices were relatively affordable. Nowadays, you can afford a trip to Europe with that money.
You basically have to sell your kidney to afford a ticket to Disney nowadays. 🙄😒
The only magic in Disney is how they make your money disappear.
So expensive
So hot
No shade
So many people
Long lines
Live by the clock
All the food sucks
Everyone is rude
If that list sounds appealing to you, then you will love Disney.
For the price of Disney for a week, I could take my family on a week cruise, and 2 weeks at the beach.
Needless to say we are going to this nightmare again next week.
The things you do for your kids.
Haha this comment wins them all. I’ll be going back with my demons too, best get practicing my fake smile and overly happy demeanour 😂
You pay this money for memories
Oh, I’m so sorry you waited so long to go and ended up disappointed, I hope you managed to salvage some of the holiday.
I knew that’s what it was going to be yes but this is still a video about what I didn’t like about Disney and that was one of the things.
SparklesBooks why even go?
@@SparklesBooks that’s not what you didn’t like about Disney, that one was what you didn’t like about florida
I don’t need ten reasons (although I agree with all ten you mentioned). One is enough - the outrageous cost alone is sufficient for me not to go.
It is extortionately priced.
Wow, working there must have been interesting, how are the general public to deal with when they’re so hyped up on Disney?
The REAL Epcot IS Epcot in Disney world... you mean the REAL Europe, right?
@@regularjoe5517 You can't honestly misunderstand what she meant....
@@redlethe8679 I honestly don't? Is Epcot based off of something?? I'm literally a child I didn't realize there was another Epcot??
been there twice and i don't miss it
When I was little my dad, once a year, would take me and my brother to Disneyland in California (this was in the 1980s). It was sad.
Ikr
I have never been to Disneyland but according to my cousin if your kids want to go to any Disney related events. Avoid them and run as fast as you can! The people from the California theme park were useless and rude. She came back home crying. I seriously don't recommend anyone going there!
How is the t Disneys fault if
It’s hot
We both know the answer to that.
SparklesBooks honestly
@@SparklesBooks srsly
I actually dont know the answer to this lol
@@omw-ge3yz lmao
Florida is disgustingly hot and humid all year round. Don't know how people can live out there. It's so hot to the point you really can't enjoy yourself.
I was not prepared for the heat but I think the people that live there will be used to it so it possibly won’t feel so hot.
i’m from minnesota, i’ll take year long intense humidity over april snowstorms without hesitation.
I’m from Florida I’m use to the heat the other day it was 108
108? Where in Florida?
Mel David's bro Tampa
Sorry but what else did you expect in disney? It is supposed to be over the top, it is supposed to be magical!
It’s supposed to be magical yes, it really wasn’t though 🤷🏻♀️
@@SparklesBooks I don’t know why you would ever return based on what you said it in the video.
a shirtless man carrying an IT balloon?! oh man! welcome to florida! that made me laugh so hard.
@@SparklesBooks Why would you go back to that hell on earth?
I’ve been elsewhere in the USA and had some much better food so I know a lot of it was ‘Disney’ but wow, it was so sweet!
food - personal preference. I prefer their food to ours. They sell no more meat and sweets than majority of theme parks if not all across the world. again - don't know why youre so shocked. it's a theme park.
crowds - it's the most visited theme park in the world. you go to any theme park you get crowds. sept is no longer low season. they have plenty of times of year where its quiet
being in your face - I find that quite rude. let them do their job talk to them get to know them.
being run down - what cities and towns dont have their rough parts ? look at most or Scotland and the UK. Its not just florida 😂😂
drinks - they do free fresh ice water and bottled. 🤷♀️
lines - ....fastpass or deal with it. and as to meeting the characters, ofc you find it weird but try and get into it. don't go in with such a negative mind set or youll never enjoy it.
prams - they've tightened on pram laws now.
culture - your attitude towards the people who love disney is insulting. we love what we love. we aren't bothering you? I actually pity you thar you couldn't get into it and why put others down for it? I work hard and if I wanna buy a 60 dollar disney shirt for my holiday I bloody well will.
don't go back. it's not for you. maybe just stick to cultural holidays. I dont see the appeal of wandering around a castle in the piss rain here in the UK but there you go 🤷♀️
Ok you’ve read WAAAYYYY too much into this, you need to get a cold drink and calm down. 🤷🏻♀️
Some people really love it, I might try and go again and see if I pick a different time of year which might sway my opinion.
@@SparklesBooks Yeah it's worth a try to do that
Used to be that the only time the crowds were over the top were blackout times.
“There was a guy with no shirt on walking through the rain with a ballon” Sounds like Florida
You really have to be a huge amusement park person to like Disney lol
agreed. fun but not for everyone
Thank you for the recommendations 😊😊
@@SparklesBooks Any time!
Just came back from Disney World. Not going back there for a while and IF I do, it will be in January.
Did you also experience the extreme heat?
@@SparklesBooks Which is why I'll only go in January. It was a furnace! 100 degrees and soupy humidity all six days we were there.
Heru- deshet i went today its hot in december
You seem like a blast at parties... 🙄
Girl it's a theme park meant for kids and kids at heart. Suspend your disbelief and have fun. Smh
I could definitely see that a lot of people loved it and I’m happy for them and it’s a great place to go for a week or two of escapism but yeah, it definitely wasn’t for me but I’m certain I’ll end up back there with my children again in the future ☺️
They definitely could do with upping the quality of the food though!

One of my traditions when I go to Disneyland is to eat at the French Market in New Orleans Square. I always look forward to the Cajun Jambalaya every time I go.
I live in Scotland too and I can handle the heat fine and I’m only twelve. Honestly why even go
Im from Ireland, I am 12, and I just think Disney is stupid. Theres so much better parks out there like Alton Towers, Universal, etc
Not everyone can handle the heat you little twit.
Are you saying that Canada is part of the us
@@amazingtoad7244 No.
It feels fake? So you think a real castle will be in a park like disney
No no not the castle, come on now, don’t be silly Brendan.
You’re a bit young for this video. This video is for adults.
No, have a Disney day is a secret insult to the guests
UGGHHHH, more like the unhappiest place on Earth...
The actual rides and world building at disney is fantastic, the water parks in particular were fantastic.
I am pleased you enjoy it, and I’ll probably be there again in the future because the rest of my family loved it haha

My child was actually the least of my stress, I got great happiness seeing her so happy... it was everyone else’s children that drove me crazy 😂
Disneyland has far better weather, and Los Angeles has much more to see and do outside of Disney than stupid Orlando.
Isn't August the hottest month? My dad dragged me to WDW in 2011 in August and I did nothing but sweat all day for two days. It was NOT a fun trip.
I don't exactly agree with this as a Floridian, not all of Florida is weird. I can see some parts of it being strange though.
@@apollo270 its weird to me. All of it and I have seen it all. Maybe it seems normal to u because u live there.
It’s Disney day have a Disney day
Ok, come to Florida. it's hot here. Live here 365 a year. Don't like fake castles stay at home. We don't have real castles here. Don't know what you were expecting. Amount of meat? Don't eat it... made it to 3:42 and was bored....
Oh No!!!! You were bored? How terrible for you.
yea its especially boring when you're 21 like me and didnt bring any friends along, the only ride i enjoyed there was the pirates of the caribbean one, also the line to the train that takes out of the park after the fireworks is fucking massive, it took my family 2 hours just to get to the parking lot
We also got stuck in the line after the fireworks, that was crazy!
Couldn't agree more. Disney World is the absolute worst. The reasons are too many to even name. Went to Scotland in 2011 and it was amazing and perfect.
Here's a clue: Disney World is meant for kids.
I am a kid
Hi Karen!
Hey 👋
first of All I am sorry you did like Disney World but the Disney cast members work very hard to make your Disney Trip fun And Good Disney Cast Members Don't Get Pay A lost of Money I know This Because I work for Disney World AS a Cast Members and it is are job to make you Experience Fun And Happy yes we have to say have a Magical Day or we Get Fired we don't like to be in your face but are our Manager tell us we have to say it Disney can be fun
I enjoyed a lot of Disney and I think the magical day parts and the work of the Disney cast members is perfect for the children of the part, my daughter found it to be a magical experience, I’m just miserable 😂
I love disney! but I also found this really interesting and could appreciate your POV - don’t see why some people in the comments feel like you shouldn’t be able to express your opinion about the negative experience you had 😂
much agreed that crowds are one of the big down sides of the parks :( I’m really glad your daughter enjoyed! x
Thank you, I’m so glad you love disney and get to enjoy it, it must be a personality thing, I must be really cynical 😂
Haggerston? I’ve been to bamburgh and Alnwick many times, I’m actually heading to Alnwick this weekend ☺️
I’ve never been to Etal, I’ll have to look it up.
I grew up visiting the Northumberland coast as I’m originally from Newcastle but even though I don’t live in the area now, I still love visiting the old favourites ☺️
No I didn’t go to cocoa beach I went to one called Clearwater Beach and it was about a two hour drive from Disney but it was a great day out, google image search ‘Clearwater Beach Florida’ and you’ll see what I mean ☺️
I only saw the Disney areas of Orlando at night, we stayed up once for a fireworks display but having young children we were usually in bed around 9pm on the other evenings.
Definitely don't drink the tap water. If you drink water, buy bottles of water at a local store or gas station and bring those into the park with you.
Respectable opinion. I also dislike Disney World, but I think it's because we as adults can see through the crap. I think in general it's different for 8 year olds.
100% agreed.
To be honest though. I agree. I have heard a lot of horror stories
Fantastic video Rosy. I always like controversy. I don't think Disney is for me, never been & won't go
I think it’s fair to say that it isn’t for me either haha.
Hi! I’m a Disney lover and I loved hearing what you didn’t like about Disney world. I very much agree with you on how bad the water tasted, you’re spot on with that! Why so many people (like myself) love Disney World has a lot to do with nostalgia, so if you’re an adult going to Disney for the first time I can definitely see where you’re coming from not enjoying it
I actually enjoyed the nostalgia element, I used to love Disney as a child ☺️☺️
Oh my god I thought I was the ONLY one person who hates Disneyworld finally soneone understand me
I Love Disneyworld I Remember Going There As A Kid Growing Up And It's Fun For Me And I Loved It
Please do not go to Disneyland, since it’s meant for cheerful, optimistic and lovely people! There are lots of sweets but there are plenty of other food! I am so sad to hear such a feedback but it’s your own opinion about the best place on earth - Disney Land!!!
It’s actually not, it’s about disney world, Disney land is elsewhere. Do your research.
September!?!? Oh god no! It doesn’t cool off till December 20th. We get our 4 to 5 weeks of fall/spring then it’s hot again.
lol assault on the senses 🙌🏼 🤣
I wish people would stop supporting the parks and their new movies
You look like milla jovovich's younger sister if she has one, disney is proving demolition man right, one company to rule them all.
I love Disney. Disneys fault about heat? Answer: NO! Virgin is different to Disney
It’s still a reason I didn’t like Disney 🤷🏻♀️
Alright on a scale of 1 -10 how would you rate it 1 opinonly bad 10 amazing
8
SparklesBooks not bad but okay
Glad we can agree.
Disney is a beautiful place for the young at heart. Not for people who lose the magic within themselves. Feel bad for those people
I think it’s one of the least magical places I’ve ever been. Real magic is to be found for people who don’t need it manufactured by others. Feel sorry for the people who need consumerism to think they’ve found magic.
@@SparklesBooks in the Disney parks, magical is used as a expression of the feeling “magical” not magician magi
Disney is not for everyone obviously…by the way, I hate the food in England.
Not the same as it used to be. It hasn't been Disney World in 30 years.
What do you expect Epcot countries are just replicas and everything else is just build and they’re trying to hardest to make it look real and you’re just insulting it👎🏻😡 and most of the reasons are not Disney World fault
Most of them are though, that’s the whole point of the video.
Nothing lasts forever; Disney, the way we knew it, is GONE!!......Nice knowing you, we had some great times, but GOODBYE!
Disney world IS THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD
I live in FL and you get used to the way the water tastes after a while.
