In this episode, Coyote and the crew have teamed up with Texas Turtles to find a prehistoric giant - the Alligator Snapping Turtle! Coyote and the Texas Turtles crew are working under special permits to record this location's resident Alligator Snapping Turtle population. Get ready to watch Coyote face off with a GIANT TURTLE - like they say, everything is bigger in Texas!

I’m a turtle lover and I HATE when people try to hurt these animals, I have some turtles of my own that I found as tiny babies! When they get bigger I am going to release them. I put feeder fish in their tank so they know how to hunt. When we put new fish in their and hour later most fish have their head off. After I release my turtles when they are mature enough I will find and raise more to help the population (btw I am putting them into a safe area where hunting is not allowed)
You also need to make sure to limit contact with them so in the wild they dont go up to humans and go ":O give me attention! Love me!" Because people can get scared and injure it then leave it there
Do not release them they will be terrified and will not lice long so your technically gonna kill them domestic turtles that been raised by humans can die in the wilderness, but as you said you rescued them as babies they also wont remeber much.
You should not realease them it is not good and even if they are breed from a lake caught turtle it was still raised in captivity

If you release them they wont survive catching fish in a tank is not setting it up for survival

I live in KY and watched him every day when I got home. It's a shame what happened to the show and the animals that were caught. The production team drugged and mistreated several animals, while not having the proper documentation to catch/handle them. Several of the animals died after the shoots because of how badly they were treated.

My Grandpa saved a baby alagator shaping turtle, he lived with us for a few years and got really big, sadly we had to release Billy (That's what we named him) but now we will see him in the lake at the end of our road, I miss him but at least he is where he needs to be. If it wasn't for my Grandpa then Billy would have been killed, and because of these videos people will hopefully work to protect these beautiful creatures.
The color of that skin when I saw it come out of the water.. just wow so pretty ♡ my grandpa had a pet snapping turtle back in the day.

Another giant. I wish internet folks would stop trying to correct folks like me when I speak of the giant I saw. A turtle exactly twice the width of the giant in this video. the sad reality is that most people who catch giant turtles are not interest in records. They're interested in food. And that is what happened to the only giant turtle I ever saw in person. I still find myself cussing every time something brings up the memory. They had an animal in that truck bed that took up all of the truckbed space, and the only thing they could see was food. I saw a tired old man with a head big enough to fit yours between his jaws. And I never saw him again, because I never had the nerve to go anywhere near that group ever again. I HATE POACHERS.
This episode reminds me of the glory days when Brave Wilderness was much smaller and to get the views Coyote did some dangerous wild catches of snakes and turtles with only his OG team. Oh Memories.

I would like to note that it is still legal in multiple states to collect 1 alligator snapping turtle per day per boat for non commercial reasons, whether that be food or pets. Only a few places like Texas and Florida and they even protected in the first place
This is my favourite of all Turtle Species it's a really powerful predator and an extremely lovely Turtle.
