This is what happens when you make it your business to shout your mouth off all the time in interviews and treat everyone else as if they are wrong - history tends to bite back. I respect the work Lydon has done, some great music, but as a person he was really quite horrible and defensive in interviews. No idea what he was like behind the scenes - probably a top bloke by all accounts. Reminds me of Lou Reed and his legendary clashes with interviewers. I kinda get it - it's a relationship any artist who wants to market their work to a wider audience has to face. You may hate the process, but if you don't market yourself, nobody knows who you are and thus can't discover and enjoy what you want to share. Bowie always struck me as the artist who was most polite in interviews - artists can learn a lot from his demeanour. He really _got_ it - never be rude. It's self defeating. If it isn't working, then find a polite way to end the interview.

The weather in the south isn't the worst for half the year. A sunny day in the UK beats the equivalent in most other places in my experience. I've spent months in SE Asia and the constant humidity mixed with the pollution in the cities becomes unbearable at times.
