    I got lucky enough to fly the AC A220 from IAD to YYZ in 2022. Thought it was an incredible aircraft. The seating reminded me of the MD80s.

    13:39 I live in Mississauga which means that I see flights arriving at or departing from YYZ from my house, which is absolutely stunning. The great thing about Toronto is that you can do planespotting from anywhere in the city, with Mississauga having the best vantage points. I literally pass by YYZ on my way to University, which is absolutely cool.

    I was going to take a Delta A220 from Chicago to LaGuardia in July 2023 for a full East Coast trip but instead I booked a United 737 MAX 8 from Boston to Chicago at the end of the trip and drove to Philly, then took Amtrak to New York, before driving to Boston. Air Canada is notorious here north of the 49th for delays... I have yet to take anything but the Dash 8 YEG-YYC commuter flight from them that wasn't at least 1 hour behind schedule.. The service is very Aeroflot, cold, proficient and professional but I prefer that over WestJet which uses the American cheerleader model of overly perky flight attendants and fake Kabuki-style service which drops immediately when out of earshot of the passengers... As for the A220? Best jet around for economy passengers.. The wider seats alone are a game-changer. You don't realize how much 1-2 inches in extra width makes even over an hour flight but it does...

    • @mofoyul
      @mofoyul Месяц назад +1

      YEG-YYC is a 25 minute flight on a Q400. Not sure what your service expectations are on such a short flight. Aeroflot? I don’t think so.

    If you are a Mileage Plus member some of them are actually spending extra money to fly on them in signature class because they know it beats UA Polaris product. If I remember correctly Air Canada East Asian Partners from Taiwan and Japan to charge you a seat selection. Since you are from Chicago the flights you are looking for are the following BR55/56 KORD🇺🇲-RCTP🇹🇼 onward connections to the Philippines BR281 RCTP-RPVM BR271 RCTP-RPLL BR233 RCTP-RPLC. NRT NH11/12 & HND NH111/112.

    AC doesn't charge for seat selection at check-in T-24 quite common among full service airlines now. this is unlike LCC's that always charge for you to be able to pick a seat. the premium snacks are things like those pretzels now being flavored instead of plain before rather meh and the addition of free beer and wine for everyone on board
