Spiritfarer really moved me. I picked that one up when I was feeling at my lowest and I loved every minute of it. Wylde flowers also holds such a special place in my heart ❤️
i guess this is my sign to finish the game 😆 i started playing it awhile ago but I left it alone since
@@DatsRockysameee! I had like 4-5 spirits and LOVED the game but I never finished it for some reason, need to go back
I was not really prepared for how DEEP spiritfarer would be while still maintaining this positive vibe. THATS skillful storytelling. What a masterpiece.
a game I loved was Unpacking. It is SO cozy and has strong storyline. You unpack, organize a character's life through different stages of their life. It feels like you knew the person. I can see it becoming a series.
Same!!! I wish I could play it for the first time again. I loved every moment of it.
Yes
I'm gonna reinstall, now. Need them vibes.
Agreed I love unpacking so much, its so cool how they made a good story without any dialogue or even seeing the characters at all(beyond photos)
Why are you so hateful???
Spiritfarer, I will never forget. I find it difficult to talk about it. I played it during lockdown. I was unable to go to my mother's funeral in the US and within 6 months I had to put my 14 yr old cat to sleep because of stomach cancer. While coping with grief it was cathartic.
Months later when the dlc was starting to be released with an article about Stella, I was sobbing. It's a beautiful game and is one of my favourite games. It's rare that after playing a game years ago it still has the ability to make me cry.
It’s crazy how things can be so elevated by what’s happening at the time in your life, animal crossing was my all time favorite game from 2001 and getting a switch for Christmas from a friend I bawled my eyes out and to play it during one of the worst times of my life completely changed me and opened up a whole world of healing through games
Oh crikey, when you said you said goodbye to your friends and that you'd meet up in Animal Crossing.... That really got me!
I met friends online during the pandemic thanks to the game and then played with them and had loads of fun. Although I eventually got burnt out after about 1500 hours, I can't imagine ever sinking that many hours into a game again. It'll always be very special.
I absolutely love Cozy Grove and still play it daily after finishing the story...so excited to hear they are making another
I just started back with it. After getting frustrated with it and feeling regretful for buying it. I ended up changing my mind.
I’m so bored of Cozy Grove
Spiritfarer broke my heart into pieces and I've never forgotten it. Especially the bat character's mental health struggles and how people reacted to her. I relate to that so, so much.
Just perfectly paced, perfectly characterised, perfectly drawn, and so very, very full of heart.
Animal Crossing really got me through a lot. My grandpa had passed and Lyman really reminded me of him, so it’s like I could still see him everyday
Ooblets announced a major content update coming soon. It is written in the update notes that prompts when you start the game. It sounded like a whole new storyline. I’m so excited! I also loved Wylde Flowers.
AHHHHHH STOP
The fact you can list so many great games already, and still be on the eve of Mario Wonder's release is a testament to just how many great years of games the switch has delivered!
I am very excited to play it, the reviews have been much higher than I was expecting!
@@Eeowna Yes me too, seeing a side scroller get this sort of reception is very promising, I am pre-loaded and ready to start obsessively trying to launch it from five minutes to midnight tonight! 😂
What time will stream tomorrow
Well currently it is the elephant in the room
In seriousness though it's the most wacky Mario game with new powers and weird stage things so if it didn't get decent reviews I'd assume it was boring or something
You’re almost at 100k subs! 😭 I remember subbing when you were at 3k , congrats girl!!
*Some more to play:*
-DKC tropical freeze
-Link's Awakening
-Mario 3d All stars
-Mario 3d world/Bowsers Fury
-Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
-little nightmares 1+2
-Death's Door
AND... MARIO WONDER. It's amazing.
I put over 3000 hours into ACNH. I had never played an AC game before. My daughter gifted me the game and Switch for Christmas right at the beginning of the pandemic and just before a surgery that took many months of recovery. Not only did the game save my sanity while largely confined to a chair, it turned me on to cozy gaming and I return to it again and again to visit my villagers and work on my second island.
i literally loved violet so much that i recently bought scarlet to play through as well. and i have NEVER bought both games for a generation before. 😳 i wish they got more hype!! i will say i liked the world for sword/shield better, but scarlet/violet had a WAY more fun plotline (was NOT expected the plot twist w the professors at the end) and the side characters are SO lovable. also, the DLC was SOOOO much fun!
The graphic are awful and the world kind of lifeless and unfinished. That's why they don't get hype. The Pokémon series is a cashgrab.
So many truly amazing games on here that really do make the switch shine. I will always sing praises to the game Okami, not originally for Nintendo consoles but the port to switch was beautifully done and I honestly cannot recommend it enough to anyone who loves story driven games with a gorgeous art style. Think Zelda meets Japanese water colour art but you play as a god in wolf form 😅
When you mentioned Ooblets! I immediately thought of Gab and had a good laugh when her name popped up on screen 😄
My favourite is probably botw (haven't played totk yet). There's just nothing like wanting to finish a quest, seeing something weird in the distance, getting distracted, ending up on the complete opposite side of the map and forgetting what you were doing in the first place 💜
There are so many more games that I want to check out tho!!
Love seeing Dragon Quest Builders 2! Such a great game
Spirit farer hit something different in me I have NEVER cried so much from a game
I’ve had spiritfarer for 2 years now but I haven’t started because i bought it right after my father died and I’m afraid i might cry too much when I play.
While understandable, it might also give you something you need. You can always try and if it's too much, shelve it again until later.
But I think it might give you a little bright spot while also moving through grief. 💜 Well wishes to you.
I think follow your instincts, the only parts that are emotional are the first characters attached to the MC. One characters arc end made me stop playing it was too sad and I ain’t even grieving
Yesss Fire Emblem Three Houses is fantastic! Everybody has their own favorites in that huge cast of characters :D and I agree with that comment about the environment- sometimes I’m just in awe while I do my rounds in the huge academy.
I’m debating whether to get Fire Emblem Three Houses or Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Have you played both and which would you choose?
@@SK_30241 I have not played Xeno 3, but I am going through Xeno 2. From my perspective, Xenoblade games a quite more complex in terms of gameplay, because it's a variation on a real-time combat system.
Three Houses has the classic turn-based tactics gameplay, where you can also save in the middle of battles when it's your turn. In that sense, I preferred Fire Emblem.
Both games have long expansive stories with fantasy and magic, and world-changing events. But I think Xenoblade's story feels more complete with a bit more knowledge of previous games, while Fire Emblem games tend to stand alone more in comparison. :) Hope this helps!
@@Tribdinosaur Thank you for taking the time to give me your in depth thoughts, it was helpful. 😊
I'm not even joking, I very nearly suggested Pokemon Violet! I played Shield but never finished it, whereas I go back to Violet again and again! I loved completing the story, my pokedex and shiny hunting.
Arceus was definitely the best Pokemon, along with Let's Go Eevee. I love the new style of the one and the old revamped of the old.
Your makeup is on fire in this video! ❤
I got animal crossing the week lockdown started and it also got me through the 3 months of quarantine. I played 450 hours in that first 3 months. I was clocking like 14-16 hours of animal crossing a day 😅😅
Spiritfarer definitely made it to be one of my favourite games just as I started playing! I still did not do the very last quest since that would feel too emotional for me.
Aww, yay! My Stardew comment made it on the list. So happy I can spread the love of Stardew to others and hope they pick up the game to give it a chance... just as I did once. 😊
Love this list! My switch journey started with ACNH and I’ve been deep into cozy games ever since. Stardew Valley is a must. I was skeptical at first because of graphics but I’ve never been hooked on anything in the way that Stardew Valley hooked me when I finally got into it. Also TOTK & BOTW just take you into a whole other world and is just a breathtaking game. Spiritfarer is also fully worth every minute of play time. Can’t wait to play Wylde Flowers and am shocked Disney Dreamlight Valley made it! I go up and down with that game for sure.
I bought and put 60+ hours into Wylde Flowers after you recommended it and I would have to say it's one of my favourite games on the Switch.
I guess I need to try out a few more games…. Come on good winter sale! ❤️
I really loved Yoku's Island Express. It's such a unique combination of pinball and platformer/mertoidvania, I had tons of fun and was sad it ended, found nothing quite like it and developers didn't come out with a new title either :')
I just finished Tears of the Kibgdom, and dang. That ending boss battle was a whole restaurant's worth of chef's kisses.
Cozy grove is probably my favorite even though it's not exclusive. I totally agree about wylde flowers too.
disney dreamlight valley is fascinating bc i definitely really enjoyed my time with it but it doesnt stand out as a particularly special or unique game at all, and i havent picked it up in a while…so u can imagine my shock when i checked and saw that i’d put 85 HOURS into it. how can a game that i’d played more than stardew and (at the time) 3 houses leave SUCH little impact on me??
aaa I LOVE this video! It's such a nice idea that you asked your community for their opinion!
It’s funny, I like cozy and (farming-) sim kind of games (I grew up with the harvest moon series) but animal crossing really never was my thing though. Fire Emblem three houses is also one of my favorites, some people don’t like this school theme but for me it was really the cherry on top that made this game outstanding from other Fire Emblems. Just gave me those anime high school vibes. Love it❤ Stardew Valley is very appealing to me content wise but I just can’t deal with the pixel graphics🥲
Heartened that Wylde Flowers made the list alongside so many other great games. ❤
I am glad about that too cause Wylde flowers is best game on switch in my opinion. I spend over 500 hrs play time and I love that game 😂❤
Mario odessy blew me away. 9.8/ 10. Just played it 4 months ago.
Ah I appreciate you so much! I've played a few games on this list, but I've gotten so many great suggestions here too. I had completely forgot Ooblets was a thing, and I'm absolutely going to buy and play it in the very near future :)
i'm on my fourth year of stardew valley and have only done the community centre. There's really no rush which is why I love it
I agree with all 5 first games u put in from everyone! I also finished pokemon shield, my first game ever finished pokemon wise! I always go back to stardew valley, still love ACNH, and any mario game(yoshi crafted adventure, mario odyssey, etc), i also appreciate final fantasy! I can always go back to it and love the story! I also always go back to the classic minecraft.
Can't believe dragon quest builders 2 got on the list! But so happy about it! Love this game! 💜🥰💜
Luigi’s Mansion 3 is my favorite game :)
Great list and don’t come for me for this, I know there’s a lot of love for Ooblets, I just had no idea it was THAT popular! I was never able to get into it but it seems to bring joy to a lot of people.
one of my new favourite games on the switch is Sky: children of light. its such a great cozy game and the best part is that its free.
I literally finally bought the switch because of animal crossing but got bored of the game after a while especially comparing it to previous games, I said stardew valley purely because I have never gotten bored and there's going to be a new update! 🥳
This is such a great video idea! Love hearing what others are playing
ayyy the comment at around 8 30 was my friend!! she's awesome hehe (I'm also a huge Bede lover)
I relate to saying swsh is what got you back into pokemon. I was in a huge depressive phase after some traumatic experiences and when I finally played sword last year, it just completely snapped me out of it
I know this is going to seem weird to many people, but Dark Souls is an absolute comfort game for me. If I have a tough mental health day I can always boot it up, start a character and just sink time into creating a unique build or trying to challenge myself with various handicaps.
it's what I love about the word cozy, it's not a genre, it's a vibe that is so personal. So I love hearing what other people find cozy that maybe isn't the norm
I do something similar ha except I speed run the start. Just too see if I can beat my old time. Then delete the save file. Do it again. So far I can get too Firelink Shrine with the Demon hammer in 2 minutes 15 seconds.
I was thinking of getting DS for the switch purely for the load times. Ha 😂
Animal crossing was released here on my birthday 🎂. So I bought it as a present to myself, and it reintroduced me to gaming. A luxury I had let slide to meet the demands of work. Let work take over after the pandemic again, and what game reminded me that I need a break? New horizons.... Though I very quickly picked up a new Pokemon game. And now I'm back to making some time for me most days to play, whatever.
8:33 Oh my gosh that's me! Thanks so much for including my comment about my love for Sword and Shield. Cheers! ♡
Thank you for bringing up the ethics of Pokémon! No one ever does. They look like fun games but I can’t get behind trapping the critters in a ball and making them fight basically to the death even though it’s called fainting. I collect cute Pokémon plushies but I can’t play the game. Except for Snap.
Isn’t there an enemy team in pokemon that literally thinks the same, that humans are bad for using their pokemon as weapons rather than living creatures?
I love pokemon snap though, its such a great underrated cozy game
@@Froggycolouring I looked it up. Does Ghetsis sound familiar? He wants Team Plasma to release all the Pokémon so they can rule the world. I assume with him.
@@Emeraldmeg31 I’m not very up to date on my pokemon knowledge so I’m not sure but that does sound like them
I’ve been lost in the Moonstone Island game for the past few days. My other games are sad.
I just bought a switch oled, I used to use the pop and the vita loved both because of the internals and games it could run and I know the switch has some good games too but I'm going to be using it mainly for Minecraft I think its the best game to ever exist in my opinion but I wish they updated the specs with the oled.
I agree with that nothing has topped animal crossing new horizon I restarted My Island again needed to figure out how to place things neatly
I've only had the game about a year got it for my birthday 🎂
My current favorite is Drudge thanks to you! ❤
To everyone in the comment section, if you've enjoyed persona 5 and the Xenoblade Chronicles, please please give 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim a shot. If you like a rich story that'll stick with you forever, this should be your pick! Just a look at reviews on any site will tell you it's a spectacular game. It was released worldwide in 2020 but didn't get much coverage due to budget reasons. I found it only a couple months ago myself and it's my favourite game of the year BY FAR. A lil taste of it: it has 15 protagonists and the game makes sure you grow to care for and love ALL of them. Trust me, just play it. Don't think, just do!
When I saw your post I should have just said stardew valley!
Not only did I purchase the game twice ,once for PlayStation and once for switch so I could have a mobile file
It's a game I broke the exception of buying a digital game to begin with as I prefer physical games
So that's saying something and it's definitely one of my top 10 favorites for sure as I can always go back and play for hours and still have so much to customize and do
Pokemon Arceus has beed my favorite game on switch, the dinamic of creating the first Pokedex, to being able to explore and cath pokemon while they are unaware and not having to battle every single time, and the drama of the pokemons and tryint to return them their normal self...just... absolute chef's kiss. Also the only pokemon game that i have been able go finish fully, story and Pokedex. Currently playing Pokemon Scarlett and I am liking it but for me, after Arceus...it just doesn't beat it. Also how beautiful the world in Arceus looks 😍...and Scarlett for me it has been glitchy which is pissing me off.
Great recommendations. Most of these games listed gave me anxiety. I love "Xenoblade Chronicles." I haven't played 2 or 3.
Scarlet was addictive but I’ve never picked it up after completing it. I mainly liked dressing up my character 😂
I love almost all of these games or want to play them! Monster Hunter Stories 2 is much more cozy as you don't hurt any monsters! Ooblets doesn't have great reviews on Steam, but I still want to play it
3 years later (2024) I've just started playing. Wow. Works well in handheld? Sure. But also cross play on Steam or mobile! Seasonal content seems fun and loving this cozy game *cough* Krill *cough*
there are so many amazing games on here and yet i remain disappointed that no one said hollow knight.. talk about gorgeous art, continued replay-ability, cute monsters, and extremely fun boss fights! my personal favorites are stardew, acnh, botw, hollow knight, and i'm loving sea of stars right now!
I LOVE ENDLING extinction is forever. Ive played it countless times, and each time i fall deeper in love. Its artstyle and storytelling is just wonderful, there is sadness, risk, death, and THE APOCALYPSE? In an animal game with a fox and her kits? The last fox on earth? Its WONDERFUL and if you think this sounds intresting, definitely check it out! You wont regret it
mine is defenetly either animal crossing or xenoblade chronicles 3, acnh was just the perfect game for when it came out and xenoblade hit me real deep
I just got a new switch and there are so many games that I don't know where to start. I feel overwhelmed by the amount of options I have and don't know where should I focus
Zelda is beautiful and parts are cozy BUT this game stresses me up! 😂
So happy to see the Xenoblade chronicles love
♥️
And to think we almost missed out on it because it used to only be on the Wii u
honestly 3 destroyed me in the best way! Getting into the franchise was the best risk I ever took
@@Eeowna I have the remake for Xenoblade chronicles 1 they did for the switch
So happy I got the art book
I just didn't get very far into it and didn't play the sequels yet.
I loved spiritfarer, it had the best hugs
Hi Eeowna, I love your work and channel. I love my switch and within the 6 years I have been through so many switches and I currently have the OLED. Your videos always makes me appreciate gaming a lot more. I have PS5 and switch and I intend on using my switch more. I love the idea of using my switch and its franchises. I plan on playing some Zelda games and then some Pokemon. Thank you for everything❤❤
It's funny that one poster about BotW and TotK, cause I beat BotW and can't even remember how I did it.
amazing video, exactly i was searching as a new nintendo switch owner, keep up the good work! (my favourite switch game is mario odyssey)
Wylde Flowers is recently on sale and I don't know if I should buy it or not... I heard a lot of good things about it, but I don't know what to do
just make sure you look up a few of the topics in a game and make sure you're good to handle them first!
PALIA is also a super fun game, its not on switch YET but its apparently coming to the console sometime this holiday season!!
I'm hoping SO much that they will do another Fire Emblem game like Three Houses. It was the first time I played a Fire Emblem and I enjoyed it throughout. With Fire Emblem Engage which has released not so long ago I can't say the same.
I’m happy that the dragon quest builders 2 have a recognition, and one of the best games, I’ve played. 1 and 2 of course. Still waiting for builders 3
Spiritfayer was EXHAUSTING and I got annoyed by the demands of the spirits. It didn’t really make any sense why I needed to build an orchard or anything really. Why can’t I just sail the dead to heaven? And do quests? Why I gotta build a giant boat 😂
Thanks so much!!! I just got the oled today and traded in my old switch! I love it and its well worth the upgrade!
Wow I must be really an island of my own....I only like 2 of the games mentioned, 1st is Wylde Flowers, then Animal Crossing New Beginnings, there are so many others I love they just didn't make it to this list.
Catching up, sorry for the late watches!
I'm dealing with some super stressful stuffs right now with work. Your comments about ACNH kinda almost makes me want to redownload it and start from scratch again...
Still really need to get Three Houses and Arceus. Hoping for a holiday sale.
And omg you read my comment about Wylde Flowers 😱😱😱💜💜💜
I'm really loving fae farm right and paleo pines. Annother fun one I like is lemon cake.
The OG Xenoblade is also such a good game. Top 3 of all time for me :D
If Mario odyssey didn’t exist, I’m not sure I would’ve purchased a switch when I did.
honestly i justg keep coming to this channel for the awesome accent.
I spent half of the video admiring your make-up. You look amazing!
my favorite ns games are
Pokemon SWSH, LET'S GO EEVEE & PIKACHU
Night in the woods
Calm Colors
ACNH
Spyro the dragon
Little Friends Puppy island
Cat's Cosmis Atlas
I like few others but
The ones above are my top favs
it would be great if they did a animal crossing with disney and marvel figures. so new villagers and more options
I loved cereza and the lost demon, I feel like it’s based off of Alice in wonderland. Wish there were more games like it
I've never heard of ooblets, but it looks so cute!! How have I never heard of it hehe
I guess Disney Dreamlight Valley is my Animal Crossing 😂
The Pokémon games are my favorite ever! Sapphire was my first ever one I played on the GBA I was so sad my DS broke because I loved the Pokémon ranger games too🥹 bought a switch and I’m behind on my pokegames😂
I met you because of pokemon! I'd been streaming New Pokemon snap and raided into you cause you were playing too :)
So happy to see Wylde Flowers here! I picked it up because of you, and I am OBSESSED. BUT, that said, I also join the masses in saying that Animal Crossing is my all time favorite game
BOTW, TOTK, Arceus, Metroid dread, super smash bros are my top 5
I'm really sorry for missing out on answering this question on Twitter. :( I'll just put my answers here so you know:
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Metroid Dread, New Pokémon Snap, and Super Mario Odyssey.
Special mention also goes to Metroid Prime Remastered, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX, which are three of my all-time favorite games remade to near perfection.
i thought scarlet and violet was their best selling title of all time!? I loved it! I thought in the pokemon community sword/shield isn't liked because of the story
I want a Scooby doo game so badly
Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin wasn't on this list??? It was amazing and I fell in love with that game. Have you played it before??? I don't think I've ever seen you mention it in a video. If you haven't played it, then I really think you should because I feel like you'd absolutely love it
I'm slowly diving into zelda games I'm playing hyrule warriors first then I'll go through botw and totk 😊
Would it be possible to get the list added (as text) in the description? Great list!
I loved night in the woods & untitled goose game.
