As someone fully housebound because of mental reasons and not physical reasons, I greatly appreciate switch sports as a reason to be on my feet and moving, because that's SO hard to replicate if you're stuck at home
if you enjoy dancing, i highly recommend Just Dance, also Zumba is fun. You don't have to be a good dancer either, yeah the scores might be a little discouraging sometimes, but if you can tune them out then there's hours upon hours of songs to dance to
there's also ring fit adventure and fitness boxing, that are more workout focused, if that's something you might be interested in

I do work out but it's mostly lifting, I'm terrible at cardio so I need reasons to actually get moving 😅
@Hazel L I have actually done Ring Fit for some exercise. My son also has fun playing it too. I could go for 30 minutes and it is somewhat enjoyable.

considering finishing unfinished games, we should make it a weekly or monthly on-stream thing where we all watch and try to finish our own unfinished games and help each other out if we're stuck. maybe then i'll actually finish any of mine xD

I love listening to your opinions. Personally I think Splatoon 3 is absolutely incredible, I love the exclusive catalogs and unlocking new emotes! Salmon Run being available 24/7 is also *chefs kiss*. I’m not a big fan of the tricolour turf wars but I think Big Run is really cool and I love getting the awesome trophies!
Omg I know EXACTLY what you mean with not wanting to finish a game the more you love it! I feel like that too with my games(and books). It's like I'm getting separation anxiety whenever I realize I'm almost finished with it and I just don't want it to end 🥴 So, it's either I don',t finish it at all or it takes forever for me to finish 🤣
Absolutely loved this video! I just played through Breath of the Wild for the first time and was completely obsessed. Idk why I didn’t get into it at first, I was just overwhelmed. But enjoyed the heck out of it this time and can’t wait for Tears of the Kingdom now!

I think you would love playing Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee or Pikachu because of the joy con controllers involved in catching Pokémon. It’s so wholesome and cozy too!
LOL I feel you about not finishing games 😂 I sometimes quit the game right before the final boss/ dungeon because I don't want it to end.
One of my biggest surprises on the switch was the first Ni No Kuni game. I bought it on sale for less than 10€ and while I was not super into it the first couple hours, it got soooo good the more I played! I actually cried at the story and was in constant awe at the beautiful art style, music and voice acting.
Currently playing Ni No Kuni II and I am not near as smitten with this one as I was with the first. To anyone who hasn’t played Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch yet: go for it!
i saw "nexomon: extinction" on your redownload list and wanted to let you know that it's a really fun game that gets even better the farther you get into the story! no pressure to pick it back up of course, just thought i would let you know xx

I do the same with my games. I keep all the cases on a shelf but I keep the actual cartridges in another case that can also hold my DS games 😅

Oh I am also a massive non finisher of games, but nothing wrong with that. If you've had enough, to me there's no point in carrying on. Especially in big open worlds which personally are my favourite 😊
Ok 2 things, 1) I too am a chronic unfinisher of games but for me it's because there are just so many games I wanna play coming out all the time I get sidetracked then never cycle back 😅 but I'll get back to some this year too. And 2) you didn't mention Spiritfarer, and I'm surprised. Unless that is one of the games you were talking about that you'll bring up later. That game had me full on crying more than I have ever cried over a game. I'm talking ugly cry sobbing. 🤣
Ugh, Spiritfarer... I swear I have never cried over a mushroom like I did when playing this damn game lol i haven't finished it because my heart just can't bear to deliver the owl, he's been with me for too long now and I'm attached 😂
Aaawww Stanley is one of my favorites 😍 and that is the game I am choosing to finish first... it's hard letting them go, but I looked up the story, and it is so beautiful. So I must finish 😬🫠

I have to say, it’s because of your vids that I keep spending money on switch games (no regrets!) it’s slow going, but so far I’ve got unpacking (loved, wish there was more to do), cozy grove (saving it, haven’t started YET) and god job! - omg love! So fun

I agree with the splatoon 3 take :,) even though I’m still addicted to it I definitely don’t enjoy the actual matches as much anymore. I feel like it’s becoming less and less inviting for casual players

I love all farming and zoo games. I like games that dont have a time limit nor do they stress you out. I like to just relaxe and take my time. Love ure vids too!
Omg I'm the same! When I love a game I just don't want it to end. I want to savour every minute. Just the thought of it ending makes me sad. As a result, I've got so many unfinished games lying around - more than finished ones I reckon..

If you haven't yet definitely pick up Jenny LeClue DetectiveU! It's such a great story, fun and varied gameplay and gorgeous artwork, it's my all time favorite game so far :) You also brought me to Beacon Pines and I loved that game as well!

I did tried Zelda, but I never managed to get cozy with it, and yet I was obsessed by Trine 2, a genre I never played in my entire life... Imagine, I am 55, and I just finished Trine 2, yes in easy mode, but I was so mesmerised, that I could not put it down for 4 days... Now I look forward to the ring, as I am tired of not moving really, as I love platforms games... DK and Rayman are my absolutely favourites games of all times!
I came for the Switch collection, but I greatly appreciate the plushie discussion because Pokemon plushies are my obsession LOL
Gotta be honest, I am EXTREMELY shocked you don't own several titles I would have easily placed on a "top 10" list of cozy games - Arise: A Simple Story, Journey, The Cruel King and the Great Hero, Okami HD, and the two Ori games (Blind Forest, Will of the Wisps). If you haven't tried any of those, I would *highly highly highly* recommend that you try them. The music, the graphics, the story - all of them are absolutely amazing. Ori is more of a puzzle platformer and isn't exactly a "calm" game in some parts, but the music and visuals and the deeply emotional story are so unbelievably worth it.
Ori I have on game pass and love it so much!

I had plans to get a Switch from day 1 but, was in college so money was super tight. As soon as ACNH was given a release date though, I knew I had to get on it and let's just say I ate a lot of dollar store groceries the next semester so I could get my Switch (bundle) and preorder ACNH lol but it was totally worth it. I don't have many physical games (which is a first for me too!) but have more digital games than I could ever hope to finish probably LMAO
I actually restarted ACNH on the release anniversary as my mental health has been pretty awful the past few weeks and it's so far been helping at least.
I bought My Time at Portia (physical copy) with my Switch but, Farm Together was my first digital and prompted me getting Online and played untold hours in it and made several friends I still chat with heh

I was surprised not to see Spiritfarer on this list, though I may have just missed it. If you haven't played Spiritfarer then stop what you're doing and play it! It's one of my favorite games on the switch.

Sorry for the super late comment, I always rewatch RUclips videos for whatever reason, but your take on the serial game unfinisher, was spot on. In fact I had to show my wife the clip of you explaining the reasoning to explain it to my wife lol, I am 100% that way. Love the story and gameplay of single player games, so it’s not necessarily a game thing, it’s more so that if I keep a part of the game unfinished I will always have something to come back to. I think it’s the reason I enjoy MMOs as well, more so cause the game feels as if it will never end. Anyways just had to comment that lol.
If you like point and click games, I HIGHLY recommend Tangle Tower! I just finished it and I had SO MUCH fun with it!
My top 5 are Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Splatoon 3, Stardew Valley, New Pokémon Snap and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Shout out to Luigi’s Mansion too! It’s so beautiful and I’ve really enjoyed playing it, I just haven’t finished it yet 😅

Omg i remember going to my best friend's house after school and we used to play Rayman legends and we hardly got past the first level because we kept slapping each other lol. It was the same with Mario 3d world too lol we used to try and throw each other off things

You should really try Chicory: A Colorful Tale :) I think you'd love it. There's no combat, but it'll hit you in the feels.
first Octopath Traveller is great, it may not have an intertwined storyline but it was the first to bring new things. and there are enough stories and dialogue to make up for it, and music is my opinion better than 2
Idk if you’ve played Rune Factory, I think you’d really like it. I’d say from Rune Factory 3 and up as it is like Harvest Moon, but more things to do such as combat/foraging and quests/storyline

Zelda Skyward Sword was the very first Zelda game i’ve ever played. i was 12. i watched my brother play Windwaker long before that for the game cube and thought it was awesome. but Skyward Sword was MY first Zelda experience. i adore it. when it came out for the switch i was BEYONNNDDD ecstatic. i love it still to this day… i also loved/love Windwaker as i got to play that when it released for the wii 2 years later. (hope it also gets a switch port as well as Twilight Princess but i sadly don’t see that happening anytime soon) Zelda introduced me to video games and i can’t wait for the next Zelda to come out next week!!

A note about Rayman Legends: you don't have to undock the Switch to play Murfy's sections. You can assign him to the A button and play as Rayman throughout.
For the Murphy exclusive levels it’s defo way more fun to play undocked!

I was cleaning clutter out of my room I 2022 and pfft me thought that oh well since I keep all my switch games in the case that I'll get rid if the cases to make more room. So I did. 😢😢😢😢 now I'm sad. I just bought 2 new games. I'm keeping the case this time. I guess I could buy replacement cases from ebay but I didn't want to. 😢😢

I love my nintendo switch. Animal Crossing is definitely my favorite game on mine. I have some other games but have problems playing them because I too am a chronic stopper of finishing games. I think the only game I've ever beat is Kingdom Hearts 2 on the PS2. I am currently playing Diablo III and hope to actually finally beat a game...I don't hold my breath though bc I get bored easily, lol
I have to recommend Blossom Tales 2: Minotaur Prince to you. It's a zelda homage that's super cute and cozy. I loved it.

OH MY GOSH. I have chronic unfinished game disorder. I also do this with tv shows if I really like them I put off watching the last season or episode. I do this with games a lot though and I’ll only have a little bit left. My bf gets mad because I don’t finish games. Haha
I thought I love BOTW (also my first game on switch) the most until I played octopath traveler 2 which to me feels more relaxing when it comes to combat and I love the unique graphics, soundtrack, and rich storyline

I never finish games either. It drives my sister crazy. She wants me to play certain multiplayers with her til the end and I abandon it fairly early on

See it’s videos like this that makes me want to get into gaming. I love my switch lite. I’ve been through several switches and the lite has been my choice. I’m like you, I’ll do so much of a certain game and then stop and move on. I need to finish so many games. Recently, I just bought Octopath Traveller 1&2 with knowing nothing and thinking I’d never buy games like these.
I only have the switch lite so I’ve been avoiding playing Pokémon and Zelda cause they seem like games you would need the actual switch for. Have you played them on the lite? Still worth playing?
@@missylynn9180 I think I have I can’t remember. I mean I spend more time at work than home so I felt like the Lite was for me if I was to have a switch. I like the feel of it that it makes it comfy to use and just relax with.
@@missylynn9180 I play Pokémon on my Switch Lite and I’ve not had any problems out of it. You don’t have to do any fancy things, so you don’t need to play Pokémon on a specific system.

Return to Dream Land Deluxe is literally a hair away from being the best game on Switch. If only they were to give this game online multiplayer and an option to remove the character outline, it would literally be peak. Especially since the original game was already a masterpiece.
