Got the X12 a few days ago. Replaced my select squareback 2….shaved at least 4 strokes per round. The feel is spectacular. I feel like Im being taught how to putt with the response that it gives. Scotty did his fans a great service with this one.
I got an x9 a week ago (slightly early access). I tested against all the available new 2022 line for a total of 3-4 hours over a couple days. Amazingly hard decision but the 9 won for me. I think the design of the aluminum center section makes a slightly different feel and sound compared to the 5 and 7 series. I love the top line being clean and the feedback for an MOI mallet is great. First heel shafted Scotty in 5 or 6 of my last Cameron’s. Bonus is I can finally get a cool headcover from the custom shop 😁 I’m surprised the x9 isn’t getting much attention compared to the 5 and 7.
Thank you. Not a lot of info on the x9 out there yet. I was able to run the main offerings against each other (5, 7.5, 9, 9.5 I tested) and almost an anguishingly difficult decision but end of 3-4 hours over several days I chose the new x9. This is my first heel shafted putter out of my last 5 Scotty’s. The sound, feel,(definitely firmer but “solid” vs hard) and great feedback. Amazing feedback for an MOI mallet actually. I was lucky to get one early. Very surprised the x9 isn’t getting more attention. Ordered a second one in circle H with a matador. This one might go to Scotty for a spa day. Now that I’m not center shafted I can finally get a cool headcover from the custom shop 😆
the 9 is flames. tried the the 7.5 and the 5 in store since i was set on them for the aesthetics, but tried the 9 because it was there and ended up taking it home. i think the only reason it isnt getting a lot of attention is because its new. pro's want to use what theyre familiar with, so they arent throwing it in the bag just yet. and amateurs and below like to use what pros are using. kind of a domino effect. brilliant putter tho
Agreed, would love to see a review of the new Toulon Design putters especially the Las Vegas Double Bend one. I recently just purchased it but would love to hear your guys feedback and review. Before I was gaming the 2021 Scotty Phantom x5.5 which I love. I actually prefer the sole better than this new upcoming line with the huge X on the sole plate. So far for me personally I would say the Toulon feels softer and definitely more muted off the face and the forward roll is crazy good compared to the Phantom 5.5 and easier to line up with the extra sight lines on the fangs. The Las Vegas head is a tad bit smaller. Now with all that being said for me personally i'm still adjusting a bit to the stroke lab shaft and face balanced and only played 1 round so far with the Toulon but I will say initially I prefer the feeling and sound of the Scotty, also my distance control is better with the x5.5. So there is pros and cons to both. But both are class A putters and will keep both. Also on a side note I needed to buy the extra weight kit for the Toulon to make it heavier and adjust the swing weight to my liking by swopping out the stock 10g head weights for the 20g ones.
I gamed a toulon las vegas and just got a X 11. The toulon is one of the best looking putters to look at and line up. However the X 11 feels better to me and is more forgiving. Not really sure if the stroke lab shaft helped me personally. I added a superstroke 3.0 grip to the X 11 and bought some weights to put in it. The extra weight seems to help my swing
Yes it does but theres a long wait since its one of the most popular scotties since Justin Thomas uses it. Expect at least a 2-3 month wait for it. The 5 is easier to get but its face balanced.
@@robscherer Here in Canada we don't have any stock on the 5.5. There's still a long waiting time for some models. I guess it depends on your area and what club you are looking for. There are a lot of options for the face-balanced models but there is a wait on the .5 versions. Most likely different in the US or the area that ur in.

Nice!! I’m also rolling a SB2, and while I love it at setup, I think the 12 would be a better fit for me. Glad to hear some good feedback

9s more forgiving than 7? 7s look bigger than the 9
@@goutfromfriedokra7099 no - 7 is higher MOI for sure. It’s notably steadier in the stroke - I just prefer a more compact head.
I enjoy your stuff. I just feel your always so positive about everything, it is hard to know what to think about it.
Love these videos. Love my Scott 5.5 but might need to try these out!
These look cool. Was hoping for a new special select line though.
Any changes to the head cover? Was hoping they would do away with the Velcro
Just got mine a few days ago…still has velcro. Hopefully a magnet will be in the near future.

Debating between new Phantom line or Odyssey Toulon. Will do you a Toulon video or don’t you carry them?

I have the X12,5 in a stability tour shaft and I have tested it against all the new models and nothing can beat it in performance and feel.
is it clicker, harder feeling than the softer 303 steel face of the other models?
just sold my NP for a x 9 :)
Curious if this model will come in a 5.5...?

@@SnoopyGolf thankfully these are stocked most everywhere now, readily available. So cool!
