Doing research for my doctoral dissertation and hoping to create a formula for schools and therapists to incorporate cycle syncing into women’s worlds. LOVE this video!!!
What about those on hormonal birth control? Is it inclusive? This lady just says no.
I would love to read your thesis when it's finished!
I'm currently finishing my dissertation in the field of environmental microbiology 😊
this would be amazing I hope your doctoral dissertation goes well!!!
I have been cycle syncing for three months now. Inflammation has definitely decreased; I’ve lost weight without even trying! I love being “in the flow” as my husband calls it.. I think he likes it too low key lol. It forces us / me to mix up what I am eating, to slow down or speed up, and to reflect. I’ve been enjoying it and will definitely continue with it!
Ooo cool
Great information! This should be taught at school too! We need to understand our body to reach our full potential! Thank you
Seriously
I agree wholeheartedly. EVERYONE should learn this info, not just women at that.
Thank you! I've just started, and I think the reason I waited so long was female bodybuilders and fitness influencers saying it's b.s., but I think they just mean that it won't help you grow more muscles. I'm not looking just to grow muscle, I'm looking to live in harmony with my body and nourish it accordingly. For that, I think adapting nutrition and movement to your cycle is phenomenal so far. It also just helps to honor the natural cycles we go through.
Finally a board certified OB-GYN Doctor speaks about this! Thanks!
Women get such a raw deal. We only get 12 weeks a year where we feel great. All the rest is "take it easy" "rest" "accept you feel low" "accept you're going to be uncomfortable".
It just isn't fair.
And then, after menopause, even those 12 weeks of feeling awesome a year are gone.
I'm really trying to puzzle out how to feel better more often, but it just seems kind of hopeless.
I have only started cycle syncing (in terms of food mainly) a month ago and I already feel a huge difference in my PMS mood swings. So I'd say while you're right and it is unfair, there are still ways to accommodate our body and thereby not be affected as negatively. I'd also recommend looking at it more as an opportunity rather than a burden; the confidence boost you can get from it in late follicular/ovulatiory phase is such a superpower to me; I've always naturally written any job applications during that phase (bc before I just "didn't feel like it") and all of them were superb. During luteal phase we are much more emphatic, studies even showed that women are more likely to donate money in that phase. It's a phase you can "use" to deeply connect with others, so one-to-one friend-dates will feel even more intimate.
And I'd say in general taking it easy on our mind and body is always a great idea, no matter the phase ;) it's all about working with your body and your body with you instead of against it :)
This was so informative! After coming off the pill after 5 years I’m learning about these phases again. Thank you for this.
OMG! Your information is so helpful. I have a happy tear listening to you. I wish we got this information in school. It would have help me so much. I wish you were my doctor 💕💕💕
I can never describe how informative your all videos. I ❤ it!
Thank you for having a natural wholesome approach with plant based and healthy eating, and exercise rather than speaking solely on birth control or pushing it. What you talk about supports the brain and body rather than going against natural processes with birth control meds.
Today is the first day I've known that this is a thing you can do. I wish I knew sooner.
Wow, besides all the information, thank you for including physical and nutritional information 🎉
I love the energy and passion ❤
This is AWESOME. Thank you! I love being a woman 💗😌
Honestly, I'd been wanting to learn about menstrual phases for a while, and woke up today decided to learn. Ditch the Ted talks, this is the video! Thank you ❤
However, I didn't notice a big difference in diet suggestions, but it's clear it should be nutrient dense ❤
I just love watching your informative videos and learning more about my own body. Thank you so much!! 🙏❤️
You are so welcome!
Best cycle synching video I've ever seen! Thank you so much ❤
Glad you liked it!
This is the best & most useful, illustrative description of what exactly is going on and in what manner (pulsatile etc) with ALL THE THINGS lol.
Very informative as always! You deserve a million subs! In terms of exercise - is running 5k a day almost every day dangerous when TTC? I’ve always wondered. But also I’m an ex athlete
Thank you, Natalie
I need diagrams. Can’t visualize the phases
Ugh why can't our uterus just build up the lining after implantation occurs instead of once a month for no reason lol Such torture
Can you please go in-depth with what an IUD is and how it affects your body?
Very educational and I loved the etymology ❤
Is there a risk of overdoing it with the anti inflammatory foods and beverages during the menstrual phase? I have heard of case reports where women who consume a highly antioxidant rich diet in pregnancy (specifically third trimester) have babies that have premature ductus arteriosus closure.
Is there a level of inflammation needed in the menstrual phase for optimal excretion of the endometrium and the formation of a new one?
I’m myself a whole food plant based medical student and absolutely support having an antioxidant rich diet for general health.
I would also want to thank you for the enormous wealth of information you provide, you have me reconsidering going into dermatology and instead going into ObGyn.
Many thanks from a big fan! :)
I don’t see much difference in the diet ur describing through the phases? They’re all anti inflammatory antioxidant and colourful all month/ year round?
Yeah! Pretty much it, to be a healthy person is important to have a balanced colorful diet
as someone on the pill, i didn’t know if i essentially needed to cycle sync but the disclaimer helped me understand it doesn’t really apply to me until i get off the pill. regardless, the information is very informative since i wasn’t taught this in school, thank u for your wisdom🤍
Thank you for this informative video 😊
I have been intuitively doing this for a while and recently I have found all those videos about it.
For me personally, I also divide my luteal phase into 2. I notice that ~the first week after ovulation I still have a lot of energy and after that it declines fast.
Furthermore, I can actually focus better during the first luteal phase week than follicular phase. I call it my chaotic energy (follicular) and calm energy (luteal) phase 😂
From your video I did not notice a lot of difference in foods. I did read somewhere that progesteron increases the body carbohydrate needs. Is that true? I can't find the source anymore.
First of all thank you for all your highly inspirational videos! 🙏
Do you have any tipps/hacks about PMDD, insomnia, panicky & stressed (highly activated sympathic nervous system) up to 7-10 days bf. menstruation starts. The feeling disappears with day one of the new cycle.
Secondly any suggestions for high gas production occurring during this time too. Btw. I've been on a WFPB diet for 10 years now.
Thank you!
I'd blame WFPB for mental issues and bloating.
I have 24-25 day cycles. My menstral is usually 3 days long and I ovulate on day 11 or 12. Is this considered a short or normal follicular phase? My luteal phase is about 12-13 days. I am 40 and been TTC my 1st child since May 2022. I conceived in October and had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in November 💔😥 are there any tests you would recommend i do? And what vitamins do you suggest? 🙏
Have you read the book “It starts with the egg” I just turned 38, 24 day cycle , only bleed 2 days, ovulate day 13. I had 2 miscarriages. I just switched all my vitamins to ALL better quality. Like folate version of prenatal and not the folic acid synthetic crap. Vitamin E Naturelo brand. NAC. Also started myo-inositol a month ago 4g a day to improve egg quality . You can do it! Keep learning and don’t give up we can do this ❤️
So please what are the safe days and unsafe days during menstruation
Thank you!
Hi am not sure what is really going an wite my body my period came early august an com bk the 30 of august an finsh the 2 off september thn the nextday spotting ... Why is dt
Is it true that vit C and D can help the length of my LP?? I usually have 10 day LPs and squeaked out 11 days last 2 cycles after being healthier... and is ten days too short?
Due to my endometriosis i do take the Pill and have a hormonal IUD do i still have cycle?
Is there any type of tea you should or shouldn't drink during these phases? I love green tea or black tea in the morning
Chamomile or peppermint in luteal. Green or black in am is fine throughout
@@NatalieCrawfordMD Thank you!
@@NatalieCrawfordMD wait we can have peppermint tea or we can’t?
Just stumbled upon this video trying to learn more about my cycle. I have PCOS and just came off birth control. My husband and I are getting ready to start trying for pregnancy. ❤
Btw: any one else see a Reese Witherspoon resemblance…?
Good luck!!
Will progesterone levels be affected if you do heavy weight lifting in the luteal phase? And can this be the cause of your period coming earlier?
Typically how quickly does progesterone drop after it reaches its peak in the luteal phase? Does it have a steep decline over the course of a few hours, or does it have a slow decline over a 6-7 day period in the second half of the luteal phase?
If my cycle is around 40 days on average, should I use ratio and proportion for this?
Thank you so much for this phenomenal information & video!!
As you stated, when we’re on pill contraceptive we’re not experiencing these phases - so the cycle-syncing workouts don’t need to be done? Since we’re not in the cycles? On my bleeding/period part of the cycle I don’t need to do the soft workouts, since I’m not really in a phase?
Interested in this too
Hi, can you make a video about how endometrial polyp within the uterine affect fertility?
I had a d&c 4 months ago. Cycles were very normal before but have been much lighter now. Last one was finally 28 days but I ovulated 2 days early per my opk. OB doesn't seem concerned, should I be worried? 37, AmH 2.4
It may be worth investigating if the next one not normal
@@NatalieCrawfordMD thanks for your response!
Sending baby dust ♥️
hello good morning What should I do my menstrual cycle is 74 today😢 my las menstrual was January 20th 2023 haven't seen it yet
please see a doctor, this is a sign you are not ovulating and need an evaluation
I've noticed I actually crave only healthy foods during my luteal phase. I have a major sweet tooth normally but during my LP I couldn't make myself ice cream. I guess I should listen to my body. Lol it must know what it needs. And my thirst is crazy during LP, is that normal??
is there a book anyone recommends ?
Hi! I was on birthcontrol for 3 years. I took it out 3 months ago and now I am trying to conceive. I got my cycle 1 month after removing it, & it's been about 3 months of having a cycle. How do I figure out when I am ovulating? Is it 14 days before my next Menstrual Cycle?
Might be a bit late but I'd recommend tracking your cycle with a cycle App and measuring basal temperature. For the later you'd need a thermometer that can measure up to 2 digits behind the dot for it to be precise. Sorry for my English, hope it's understandable!
Any tips for those that have long follicular phase? Usually my LH peak doesn't come until CD 24. Is that a sign of low estrogen or low FSH? How to regulate to have better chances of pregnancy?
I have a question, if I take Pueraria mirifica 500mg+ fenugreek 250g and saw palmetto 250mg, does it helps in ovulation or inhibits it?
I am currently trying to get pregnant with my 2nd child after coming off the pill, it's seems such hard work this time around. I have tired clearblue ovulation kits but they don't seem to be working after trying for them for a few months. I was told to take seven seas trying for a baby tablets and me trying to not stress at everything.. Any advice would be much appreciated ❤️ also I love your videos 🙂
Hello! Do you have a video about what our temps look like during each phase? If im irregular how do I know when Im entering and exiting each phase? Thank you, this video taught me a lot about the different phases. Im trying to figure out if my Follicular cycle is short or my luteal cycle. I don’t know how to do that. Thanks
My hormoes is high how it is suggest for me Lh level 61 percent
Are you trying to propose that birth control synthetic cycle vs. a natural female hormone cycle are equal by saying that "there is no better or worse"? There is a better and a worse. A natural hormone cycle will always be superior to synthetic "cycles" governed by hormonal birth control which comes with a host of potential health problems, nutrient deficiencies and side effects. Hormonal birth control has its place but in no way is a synthetic hormone cycle equal to the health of a woman's natural cycle.
This lady clearly supports synthetic birth control, she clearly is careful talking bad about it, since the pharmaceutical companies financially support her… it’s all a lie. Stay away from birth control.
Alisa vitti is the creator of this method and her name was never mentioned. wow

Hello!
Where does testosterone fit
Adopt me please 😂
What 2 phases is your body in when you’re on hormonal birth control?
How would you adjust your cycle sync to those 2 phases?
Thanks!!
