Women get such a raw deal. We only get 12 weeks a year where we feel great. All the rest is "take it easy" "rest" "accept you feel low" "accept you're going to be uncomfortable".
    It just isn't fair.
And then, after menopause, even those 12 weeks of feeling awesome a year are gone.
I'm really trying to puzzle out how to feel better more often, but it just seems kind of hopeless.

I have only started cycle syncing (in terms of food mainly) a month ago and I already feel a huge difference in my PMS mood swings. So I'd say while you're right and it is unfair, there are still ways to accommodate our body and thereby not be affected as negatively. I'd also recommend looking at it more as an opportunity rather than a burden; the confidence boost you can get from it in late follicular/ovulatiory phase is such a superpower to me; I've always naturally written any job applications during that phase (bc before I just "didn't feel like it") and all of them were superb. During luteal phase we are much more emphatic, studies even showed that women are more likely to donate money in that phase. It's a phase you can "use" to deeply connect with others, so one-to-one friend-dates will feel even more intimate.
And I'd say in general taking it easy on our mind and body is always a great idea, no matter the phase ;) it's all about working with your body and your body with you instead of against it :)

I have been cycle syncing for three months now. Inflammation has definitely decreased; I’ve lost weight without even trying! I love being “in the flow” as my husband calls it.. I think he likes it too low key lol. It forces us / me to mix up what I am eating, to slow down or speed up, and to reflect. I’ve been enjoying it and will definitely continue with it!

First of all thank you for all your highly inspirational videos! 🙏
Do you have any tipps/hacks about PMDD, insomnia, panicky & stressed (highly activated sympathic nervous system) up to 7-10 days bf. menstruation starts. The feeling disappears with day one of the new cycle.
Secondly any suggestions for high gas production occurring during this time too. Btw. I've been on a WFPB diet for 10 years now.
    Thank you!

As you stated, when we’re on pill contraceptive we’re not experiencing these phases - so the cycle-syncing workouts don’t need to be done? Since we’re not in the cycles? On my bleeding/period part of the cycle I don’t need to do the soft workouts, since I’m not really in a phase?

Is there a risk of overdoing it with the anti inflammatory foods and beverages during the menstrual phase? I have heard of case reports where women who consume a highly antioxidant rich diet in pregnancy (specifically third trimester) have babies that have premature ductus arteriosus closure.
Is there a level of inflammation needed in the menstrual phase for optimal excretion of the endometrium and the formation of a new one?
I’m myself a whole food plant based medical student and absolutely support having an antioxidant rich diet for general health.
I would also want to thank you for the enormous wealth of information you provide, you have me reconsidering going into dermatology and instead going into ObGyn.
Many thanks from a big fan! :)

I have 24-25 day cycles. My menstral is usually 3 days long and I ovulate on day 11 or 12. Is this considered a short or normal follicular phase? My luteal phase is about 12-13 days. I am 40 and been TTC my 1st child since May 2022. I conceived in October and had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in November 💔😥 are there any tests you would recommend i do? And what vitamins do you suggest? 🙏

Have you read the book “It starts with the egg” I just turned 38, 24 day cycle , only bleed 2 days, ovulate day 13. I had 2 miscarriages. I just switched all my vitamins to ALL better quality. Like folate version of prenatal and not the folic acid synthetic crap. Vitamin E Naturelo brand. NAC. Also started myo-inositol a month ago 4g a day to improve egg quality . You can do it! Keep learning and don’t give up we can do this ❤️

    • @desgibtsdochnetey

Might be a bit late but I'd recommend tracking your cycle with a cycle App and measuring basal temperature. For the later you'd need a thermometer that can measure up to 2 digits behind the dot for it to be precise. Sorry for my English, hope it's understandable!
