Yeah, when I travel my 85 stays at home lol. It's just not versatile enough to justify lugging it around. I typically take 2 lenses. My 35GM and either the 20G or Sigma 14-24 I'll also have my RX100 Vii on me for longer shots.
Interestingly, the crowded environment is exactly why I love the 135: no need to ask people to move. If you want a head and shoulders shot while everybody else in the background melts into swirly, oil-painting-like bokeh swirls, it's the 135 for me. But I loved the shots you got with the 35mm focal length where you could see the subject and the context of the background. And while 24mm is my go-to for head-to-toe portraits in front of an epic landscape, distortion with the wider angles is a good point to keep in mind. Perhaps I'll have to invest in the 35 G 1.4 or 1.8 sooner than later!
Excellent presentation of material. Success in the development of the channel.

That's solid! Everything pretty compact.

I still haven't used the 135! But it looks incredible. I've seen some people use it a lot for video too to get really unique shots at weddings.
I own all the focal length above... sony 20mm 1.8 G, sigma 35 art DGDN, sigma 85 art DGDN. got to say, every lens has its purpose
Yep. I just wanted to compare those use cases and maybe help others see what they might like / need most.
Really well made video and super informative!
Looks like I’m going for a 35 prime 😂
It will serve you well!
