Ok girl! I love your dedication and passion for dialysis. My mom was a patient of Davita’s for 9 years and by the grace of God, she finally received a transplant last year. I am a new nurse & thought what better way than to give back to my community by working with the same place that saved my mom 🥹 So I accepted a new offer at DAVITA for LVNs. We are being put into a new role in dialysis to assist the RN more with nursing duties that techs might not do but I’ll also be a tech as well, so it’s a hybrid role! Super excited for this opportunity & so happy I found your videos to watch and ease my mind before I start next week. I hope I love it as much as you seem too ❤️
I love your videos. I work for the same company you guys work for here in SC. I work in the Acute setting here and I love EVERYDAY of my job as a CCHT. I plan to go to school to become a nurse and change lives both at work and home. Please keep the videos coming. Be blessed, and stay safe.

Hii!!! Thank you for subscribing!!💜💜💜 congratulations girl! You're going to be okay! Im excited for you! I felt the same way when I first started! But the job is really repetitive that you'll get it in no time ☺ the hard part for me in the beginning is time management and setting up the machine! But now its a piece of cake. You got this!! Goodluck girl!!🥰
Hey! If you don’t mind me asking, How’s the job going so far? if I have a 2nd interview with Davita next week. I’m a lil nervous abt the long hours too. 12hrs seems doable to me but it’s the 12+ that makes me uneasy 😬
@@chaniebooo It will be too much at first because I felt that way when i first started but you'll get used to the hours eventually. Time goes by most of the time when you're busy 😆
When you say 2nd shift is that the second round of patient that has to come in? And if so are there only 2 rounds of patients? What are the work hours like? Is it work 3 days off 4? What makes the job hard. It seems easy (once you get past the poking, and equipment how to’s) but I have a history of misjudging jobs 😅. I know there will be hard days but I’m just curious
You’re team seems so fun btw… also I would love to see what the LPNs do at the center. Do they set up the machines and cannulaltion also or do they have completely different roles
Yes 2nd shift meaning 2nd round of patients. Every facility has atleast 2 or 3 shifts. Normally the places I've worked Monday Wednesdays and Fridays has 3 shifts it really depends. The normal work week is 3 days 12 hour shift or more. But you can also work more than 3 days if you want to its totally up to you. And I think every job has challenges it depends on what Hard means to you 😆 because I've met a lot of people that has a different view of challenges in Dialysis. Every job can be frustrating at first.
Awesome video. Love your car's interior BTW. Which clinic is your home clinic? Also if there was a way I'd glady let you make a video putting me on the machine. You could explain the process and let your fans see it. Love your channel and you are an amazing PCT. You definitely left an impression during our brief time at West.
Any tips on how to manage your routine with the early start time? I’m not used to starting so early. Any tips you have would be so great! What does the LPN do in ur facility? Are the roles different than PCT?
You will get used to waking up early over time. I'd advise to wake up a few hours or so early to get yourself showered, eat something, drink coffee/tea, etc.
